Specific sounds for obsidian and crying obsidian.

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 09:29 AM PDT

Obsidian and crying obsidian are the hardest blocks that can be broken in survival, and resist most explosions, so I think it would be kind of fitting if they had their own sounds (placing, mining, breaking, and walking).

This would sell the fact that these blocks are very different from other stone blocks. It would also allow players to know if they're being blocked off with obsidian by another player in certain situations. As some blocks can be distinguished by their sound, obsidian seems like an important one to give a sound to.

I Made Sandstone Pillars and I Suggest Soul Sandstone

I Made Sandstone Pillars and I Suggest Soul Sandstone

The immage is pretty explanatory, We need Sandstone Pillars and I made the textures for them.

But to make the post a little bit spicy I invented a new type of block, Soul Sand Stone!

It make sense to have a stone variant of Soul Sand, the textures would be like Sandstone But with the Soul Sand Palette

    Copper Hopper / Vacuum Hood

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 08:50 AM PDT

a copper colored, upside down Hopper, that acts opposite a hopper. It pulls items from below and pushes them up through the multi-directional spout. Recipe could be a hopper instead of a chest in the center and copper ingots in an upside down version of the hopper recipe. Could have a counterpart copper hopper minecart to fill containers from a block below, instead of empty them.

    Blankets for beds

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 05:09 AM PDT

So, you know how you can't sleep when there's monsters nearby? I think that's a pretty good mechanic, but it's a little annoying, especially when you can't find the mobs. There should be a way to bypass it, maybe with blankets! You would right-click a bed with a carpet, and when you slept in it, you would be under the blanket. And because everyone knows that pulling up the covers makes you feel safer irl, in-game you would be able to sleep without that warning, but you would still wake up if mobs attacked you. I think this would be a neat little feature to make the game a bit less annoying.

Make it so you can still sleep if monsters are nearby if you're in an enclosed space

    Posted: 29 Aug 2021 07:52 PM PDT

Gave this the general flair because idk what category it should be in

I think that you should be able to sleep with monsters nearby if the bed is completely enclosed by blocks, aka a house. But if you have a door you can't if it's on hard difficulty because zombies can break down the door. It's annoying not being able to sleep when you're in a safe environment, especially if your just starting and happen to have a small house.

The mechanics behind instamining need to be reconsidered.

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 12:19 PM PDT

When deepslate was added, it was said to take twice as long to break as regular stone. And that's roughly true. With an unenchanted iron pickaxe, mining stone takes 14 ticks (8 to break, with a 6 gt delay before the next one). Deepslate takes 21 ticks to mine (15 + 6) with the same pickaxe. However, the way instamining works is that if the time to break a block is reduced to 1 gt, the 6 gt delay is skipped. So this makes deepslate (and some other blocks) incredibly frustrating in late game. You can drill through stone at 1 gt per block, but even with haste 2, deepslate takes EIGHT times longer. This is, frankly, absurd. It takes 2 gt to break the block, but the game forces another 6 gt of delay.

So here's my suggestion. Each level of efficiency removes half a tick of the delay, rounded up. And each level of haste removes a full tick from the delay. The delay would still be ignored for breaking blocks in a single tick, so this wouldn't nerf stone instamining. For deepslate, however, it would mean a total of 3 gt per block, 2 to break, and 1 of delay. That seems a lot more fair for late game players, as it's still 3x slower to mine than stone, a lot better than 8x.

Stripping logs should have a particle effect

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 06:44 AM PDT

Since (un)waxing copper has a particle effect, stripping wood should also. However, it wouldn't look as magical as the (un)waxing of copper, it would look like bark being torn off a log (because that's of course what happens when stripping logs). It would make stripping wood more interesting, and it would actually show what happens to the bark, instead of the bark randomly disappearing out of existence.

Cobblestone generators should produce cobbled_deepslate from Y:0 and lower

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 11:36 AM PDT

You can't insa-mine deepslate even with efficiency 5 and a haste 2 beacon, that means getting a good amount is very hard and slow.

so when flowing lava touches water it should turn into cobbled deepslate under Y:0 making it renewable

Hash-based anticheat system for servers [OPTIONAL|CONCEPT]

    Posted: 29 Aug 2021 08:58 PM PDT

Hey guys, I had an idea on how to make an anticheat system for minecraft servers that's based on detecting what client the player is using and checking if it's allowed or not in the server. It will work something like this:

    • The minecraft client sends the hash of <client>.jar to the server the player is connecting to. (for those who don't know what it is, a hash is like a "fingerprint" for a file, each file has its own and it can be used to identify the file and other stuff. although it is possible for two different files to share the same hash, they have to be drastically different for that to happen, as it's not a continuous function)

    • The server compares that hash to a saved list found in the server folder. If it matches any of the lines in the file, the player can enter the server. If there's no match, the player cannot enter the server. This list works as a whitelist to allow or not the use of certain clients and is completely optional. (e.g., if a server allows the use of optifine and badlion, but not the use of any other unofficial client, they can activate this whitelist in the server.properties and put the hash of the allowed clients in that file to prevent players using fabric, forge, clients with cheats/hacks and so on. But if they allow the use of any modified clients, as in anarchy servers, they can leave the option deactivated and thus allow any player to enter)

Example: Steve tries to connect to Hypixel with Wurst client. The game calculates the SHA-1 for the wurst client.jar file (in this case it would be 53d7f0c[smthng]e45daf1). Hypixel then searches for that hash on the list of allowed clients but doesn't find it. Steve is not allowed to enter the server and a message shows up on the screen saying that the client he's using isn't allowed in the server.

Example 2: Alex tries to connect to Hypixel with the optifine client. The game calculates the SHA-1 for the optifine client.jar file (in this case it would be 42e5568[smthng]31392d4). Hypixel then searches for that hash on the list of allowed clients and finds it. Steve is allowed to enter the server

If someone creates a client that modifies the part of the code in charge of sending the hash to the server, this client can be reported to Mojang and Mojang can take legal action against them for ruining other people's experience using a client that goes against the EULA.

Edit: I alreaddy posted this to the feedback site but the post is pending approval. I'll put the link here as soon as possible

The Blighted (Repost to try and improve the original post by u/FrixUnknown)

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 01:23 PM PDT

    Original Post

    Blighted

The blighted is an undead, neutral, wart-infected blaze that spawns in the red netherwart forest. They have crimson wood for their skin and have white pupil-less eyes as well as fungi growing out their body.

When attacked, they fire balls of COMPRESSED red and orange shrooms that explode, leaving behind a lingering toxin. Behaviour-wise, they do spawn in peaceful as passive mobs, yet blazes are scared of them.

    Crimson Rod

Upon death, they drop a crimson rod. Crimson rods can be used in brewing, which'll makes potions become awkward faster and can be used 3 times, equal to nine potions.

    Closure

The blighted is a very interesting, yet simple mob. It provides a better source of awkward potions while also sometimes making crimson forests more intense and thrilling. They may also imply that the netherwart is corrupting creatures like the hoglins.

    Rare Meteor Impact Event

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 01:07 PM PDT

Add a rarely occurring instance where a meteor may crash into your world and turn whatever biome it impacts into a wasteland. Of course this means there is an even more rare possibility that you and/ or your base get caught in the blast. Sorta like lightning but with worse consequences. At the center of the wasteland biome there should be a crater and a new "cosmic" ore. Probably with some special properties?

(Sorry if I got the flair wrong)

There should be a gamerule that lets the player decide weather their spawnpoint is reset or not.

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 09:54 AM PDT

This would be off by default, but if it's set to true with cheats, then a player will see a chat menu when they go to sleep that allows them to set their spawnpoint, or avoid restarting their spawnpoint by not clicking the text.

    White Flowering Azalea

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 04:05 AM PDT

    What does it look like?

It looks exactly like an azalea, but the flowers are white, imitating a white Japanese blossom, and it has a 10% chance of growing into a Weeping variant, which has many White Flowering Azaleas that branch downwards, giving off a "weeping" appearance. The sapling form looks identical to the pink version, except with white flowers.

    If seasons get added

If seasons were to ever get added to the game/Bedrock Edition, Flowering/ White Azaleas will only flower in Spring, and will start dropping their petals after 6 Minecraft days, go dark green in Summer, go yellow to red to brown in Autumn while dropping leaves, and then go bare, looking like twigs in winter. The number of petals dropping can be adjusted in the Particles setting on the option screen, as these petals are called blossom_petals in particles. Maybe to give a truer appearance to the real Japanese blossoms, these could have a lot of the green removed in Spring, replaced by transparent pixels.

Potion of Transfiguration : Have a hostile mob as your pet, or look like one yourself!

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 03:40 PM PDT

    Potion of Transfiguration

Brewing: Nether Star -> Awkward Potion = Potion of Transfiguration

    Effect:

Can affect Armor Stands (via the Splash Potion variants) or Players (via any Potion variant). Has no effect unless the affected entity is wearing any of the following in their helmet slot: Zombie Head, Skeleton Head, Wither Skeleton Skull, Creeper Head, or Dragon Head.

If a valid item is worn in the helmet slot of the affected entity for 6 consecutive seconds while under the effect of this Potion, the affected entity is converted into the corresponding mob. Armor Stands become a player-friendly tamed version of the mob, while Players merely have their model changed.

The Transfiguration Potion catalyst effect lasts 21 seconds, but the completed Transfiguration itself is permanent. The only exception is the Dragon Transfiguration, which instead lasts 3 minutes.

    Notes:

    • Using an Armor Stand as the base for the Transfiguration produces the regular mob, albeit a player-friendly version regardless of the mob's usual alignment. The mob behaves much like a pet from then on, including attacking enemy mobs. Mobs that can normally wear armor and/or use weapons can be given those items.

    • Using a Player as the base for the Transfiguration converts the player's model and hitbox into the relevant mob, though they retain all regular player functions (mining, crafting, inventory, sleeping, etc.). So long as the Player does not do anything out of the ordinary for their mob (e.g., a Creeper wearing armor, a Skeleton using a Pickaxe), other mobs will treat the Player as if they were the mob while Transfigured.

    • Dragon Transfigurations last 3 minutes. All other Transfigurations are permanent, though reversible (see Variants below).

    • The 'Head' item used for the Transfiguration is consumed; it is not retained upon converting back.

    • No Transfigured Armor Stand mobs have any drops, including EXP. Additionally, the attacks of a Transfigured Dragon cannot yield bottled Dragon's Breath.

    Variants:

    • Redstone Dust -> Potion of Transfiguration = Potion of Transfiguration+, increasing the Transfiguration catalyst effect duration from 21 seconds to 45 seconds. Also increases the duration of any Dragon Transfigurations from 3 minutes to 8 minutes.

    • Glowstone Dust -> Potion of Transfiguration = Potion of Transfiguration II, lowering the 6-second transform period to an instant transformation instead.

    • Gunpowder -> Potion of Transfiguration = Splash Potion of Transfiguration

    • Dragon's Breath -> Splash Potion of Transfiguration = Lingering Potion of Transfiguration

    • Fermented Spider Eye -> any Potion of Transfiguration variant = corresponding Potion of Reversion variant

    Potion of Reversion

Brewing: Fermented Spider Eye -> any Potion of Transfiguration variant = corresponding Potion of Reversion variant

    Effects:

Reverts any affected Transfigured entity back to its original state for 3 minutes, after which time the Transfiguration returns.

If drunk, this Potion has a 60% chance to take effect but not be consumed. If thrown, this Potion has a 60% chance to affect the area appropriately, but also drop itself as an item at the impact location. The Potion will still take effect normally even if this recycle chance fails.

    Variants:

    • Redstone Dust -> Potion of Reversion = Potion of Reversion+, increasing Transfiguration reversion duration from 3 minutes to permanently removing the Transfiguration.

    • Glowstone Dust -> Potion of Reversion = Potion of Reversion II, increasing the recycle chance from 60% to 90%.

    • Gunpowder -> Potion of Reversion = Splash Potion of Reversion

    • Dragon's Breath -> Splash Potion of Reversion = Lingering Potion of Reversion

    Comments / Discussion

    • Pet Creepers should be kept away from all enemies, since their 'attack' is to blow up! Oh no :(

    • A pet Zombie or especially Wither Skeleton with full Enchanted Netherite Armor and an Enchanted Netherite weapon surpasses even the Iron Golem in combat.

    • Pet Skeletons make excellent guards, especially since they can be given Tipped or Glowing Arrows to hold in their offhand. They use the special arrows and never run out of ammo!

    • Splash Potions of Transfiguration can convert many Armor Stands into pet mobs at a time. Lingering Potions of Transfiguration allows one to convert even more after the first round by placing more Armor Stands into the cloud.

    • Changing one's appearance into a mob makes all other mobs behave towards you as they would that mob, unless you do something to break the illusion (use a tool, wear armor on a mob that cannot do so, etc.). This can turn even Hardcore Mode into something almost like Peaceful Mode!

    • Beware, though: Mobs that would normally attack your disguise mob (e.g., Piglins against Wither Skeletons, Guardians against anything, etc.) will still do so! This also means Villagers and Village Iron Golems will react hostilely to a Transfigured player.

    • If a Player uses a Dragon Transfiguration, they will still be grounded (unable to fly) and will not destroy blocks around them, but their model hitbox changes to match that of the Dragon anyway, likely making them stuck in place. I don't know why you would want to do this; perhaps using a Splash variant to troll another player?

    • On the other hand, I do see how turning an Armor Stand into a friendly Dragon for 3/8 minutes can have some... uses...

    • One might want to return to their old 'look' only temporarily (e.g., to enter a village without causing a panic), which is why the base version of the Potion of Reversion only lasts 3 minutes. If one wants to use a Potion of Reversion repeatedly, the Glowstone upgrade (Potion of Reversion II) has a 90% chance of being recycled, up from 60% of the base version, and still only lasts 3 minutes before one's Transfiguration comes back!

    • If instead one wants to permanently remove the Transfiguration, the Redstone upgrade (Potion of Reversion+ ) can do so.

    • As such, arguably the optimal brewing allocation for a single Nether Star intended for self-use Transfiguration purposes is to make one Potion of Transfiguration II, one Potion of Reversion+, and one Potion of Reversion II, since you can make 3 of the base Potion from one Nether Star. If you want to turn into a Dragon for some reason, brew a Potion of Transfiguration+ instead of the Potion of Transfiguration II.

All of the above utility and power is balanced by the fact that the Potion of Transfiguration and resulting Transfiguration itself requires two of the rarest, most difficult-to-obtain items in the game : A Nether Star and one or more mob heads. This means an army of Transfigured mob pets is comparable to a Beacon in terms of effort and expense! The Dragon Transfiguration is further balanced by being the rarest of all, since Dragon Heads cannot be farmed, unlike other mob heads.

What do you think? Thank you for your time and feedback!

    Speakers

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 03:22 PM PDT

Unfortunately, jukeboxes do not carry sound very well. This is okay when I am trying to listen to some nice music in my small house but the issue became more apparent when I tried adding music to a much larger build. Rather than making jukeboxes louder, mojang could add speakers to the game.

The speakers could play the same song the nearest jukebox is playing. However, there is a catch. Each speaker has a delay. The delay can be changed from 1-4 ticks (just like a repeater). This might actually be helpful to some players trying to make the music echo across several speakers.

You can craft a speaker by putting a skulk sensor on top of a jukebox in a crafting table. The speaker can sense a jukebox from up to 48 blocks away. Also speakers can only sense jukeboxes. Not other speakers. I think speakers should look similar to note blocks because I love the way note blocks look, and it would be easy to integrate speakers into many building styles.

    Change for rarities.

    Posted: 30 Aug 2021 03:06 PM PDT

Diamonds and netherite should be rare, or at the very least uncommon, they're rarity is common/white, which doesn't make sense because diamonds and netherite aren't common.

NetherStar should be epic or rare, instead of uncommon.

The EnchantmentTable should be rare or uncommon.
