Posted: 06 Aug 2021 07:19 PM PDT Today is the first Update Day! Every Saturday, we give users access to the Update flair. This gives them the freedom to post suggestion lists, which are normally prohibited by Rule 5. There are some important rules to be aware of:

while on fire resistence effect, we shouldn't visually catch fire Posted: 07 Aug 2021 05:57 AM PDT It's just annoying that even in Creative Mode we have this visual effect, messing up half the screen [link] [comments]
1.18 Rivers should lead to oceans Posted: 07 Aug 2021 10:09 AM PDT Rivers in the 1.18 update should connect to lakes and oceans. Just a little change makes the world generation much better and allow rivers to function more like highways. [link] [comments]
Tie enough chickens with lead to yourself and they will slow your fall Posted: 07 Aug 2021 06:12 AM PDT
Curse of Rusting / Hydrophobia Posted: 07 Aug 2021 12:41 AM PDT A new curse enchantment: "Curse of Rusting" Inspired by Endermen that take damage in water If gear has this curse and is in a player's inventory, the player will continually take extra damage while underwater regardless of oxygen level or a conduit. The gear itself will also continuously take damage when the player is underwater. I imagine it being found on gear from sunken pirate ships or buried treasure chests. [link] [comments]

Baby sheep should eat less grass Posted: 07 Aug 2021 07:11 AM PDT Seriously, I once noticed this when I was playing on my world. There little dingbats eat grass every 7-15 seconds! I don't know if that's the case with Java, since I play on bedrock. Now, why am I suggesting this? Well, if you put a baby sheep anywhere on land and just give it a few minutes, it'll look like a decayed biome but still somewhat alive (if you get what I mean). I know this maybe was added for realism but it's seriously annoying seeing how some pieces of land have no grass on them and how long it takes to grow back. [link] [comments]
We should be able to put several keys for each control. Posted: 07 Aug 2021 08:05 AM PDT The title says almost everything :D The only thing that maybe needs to be clarified is that you don't have to press all the keys to do the action. For example, if you set left click and y for the attack/break control, if you press one of the keys, it will activate the control. I think it could be very helpful in some cases ;) Sorry I don't speak English ;) [link] [comments]
Minecraft: The Beginning and the End Posted: 07 Aug 2021 12:59 PM PDT Minecraft's always getting updated, so why not make an update that covers Minecraft as a whole? An update that focuses on the beginning, and the end? An update that could add so many things the community is excited for, or has been begging for. But what would be in such an update? Well, it's quite self-explanatory, which is part of what makes this hypothetical update so great. For the beginning, two things could, and should, happen. 1: The existing overworld biomes should be updated and 2: Archeology should be implemented. The biome updates could consist of the losing biomes or mobs from Minecon's past. Such as the savanna, the swamp, and the moobloom. But it could also introduce updates to biomes that haven't even been announced yet. Like an update to the dark oak forest, or mushroom fields. The archeology system is just a given with this one. It was announced in 2020, it's got to come eventually, and this kind of update would be perfect for it. Finally, the end portion: What would this consist of? How about an update to the end dimension. The end is so incredibly bland compared to the rest of the game, it needs some polishing. Maybe snatch some features from that dungeons DLC, or make up new ones entirely! The possibilities are endless!(pun definitely intended) The Beginning and the End would be a perfect Minecraft update. It could update existing features, and add new ones entirely. All while adding things the community has been waiting for, for years. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Aug 2021 06:27 AM PDT this enchant would be possible to apply on meele weapons, it's simply a reverse knockback, that also means it cannot be combined with regular knockback the pulling effect would only work when the target is +2 blocks away and the effect is nerfed by knockback resistance it would have just 2 levels: 1st level disables knockback and 2nd level slightly pulls your opponent in pvp you have a choice between a more offensive or defensive ability maybe to not make it too overpowered or annoying, it would be one of those "special attacks" that require you to have a fully charged attack (i'm talking about those experimental pvp snapshots) [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Aug 2021 02:20 PM PDT One of the primary things that makes Minecraft so fun when you first start playing is the novelty, the mystery and the satisfaction of discovering something. This was especially fun back when Secret Friday Updates were a thing. So I think that with every new snapshot, there should be at least one new mob, block or item that isn't mentioned on the website or found in the creative menu. Something a player can only get by exploring or experimenting in a crafting table. Maybe these secret features could be something unrelated to the current update like a common suggestion from this subreddit or just something fun and random. This would make Minecraft extra fun, because there would always be something to be discovered. Players like MrBeast might even make challenges and games around it. Minecraft would also remain popular for a long time. For these reasons, I believe that secret snapshot updates would add the mystery and novelty to keep Minecraft always fun. I hope that if someone from Mojang is reading this, they will take it into deep consideration and also have a great day. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Aug 2021 01:53 PM PDT I just saw this flair a few seconds ago. What is the update flair for? Is it for big suggestions or update ideas? [link] [comments]
Being able to put empty shulker boxes in shulker boxes. Posted: 07 Aug 2021 03:08 AM PDT Basically the title. I know you'd shouldn't be able to put shulker boxes in a shulker box because then you can have infinite inventory space, but empty shulker boxes should be allowed. They don't have items in them so you don't have infinite inventory space. This could be useful if you have a shulker box in your enderchest with empty shulkers dooti can just grab one if you need it and don't have to craft it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Aug 2021 01:18 PM PDT most people are not great at potion brewing and usually go have to look at a guide on google or bing to find out how to make it. so i know its in vanilla tweaks and stuff but Brewing stand gui should exist and be like crafting/furnace gui. itll most likely be more useful than the other 2 guides [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Aug 2021 11:53 PM PDT Add Anglerfish. [link] [comments]
Mini-dimensions/Official Packs should be added. Posted: 07 Aug 2021 08:42 AM PDT So I know what people are going to say that something like a bunch more dimensions will dilute the game of its "vanilla-polish" but.......I totally agree with you and don't want that to happen. Instead of being forced to opt in into having these dimensions instead what mojang could do is create behavior packs/resource packs/official mods/official addons/words that contain a well made dimension for us players to enjoy. This would do a few things, give players more things to do, possibly cause another period of time where minecraft becomes da shit again and finally allows mojang to do more experimental content without having to added directly to the game/this means features people really like from these mini-dimensions. Now to cover the people who would be pissed that Mojang would waste their time working on lil mini-dimensions and packs that wouldn't be part of the base game I have one thing to say.........Minecraft is a multi-million dollar franchise those guys are probably working slow because either A. they don't want new people to work with them/to teach (sort of valid but bad for us) B. are working slowly because they need to get everything approved by higher ups C. Merch needs time to be worked on so even the most boring new mob will take a while to make D. Idk. There is another option though which is give modders the proper tools to make new dimensions (and just better tools for bedrock modding) or use the marketplace creators (then give a massive overall to that horrible thing). Well we have all sort of options now. So of course a fan favorite would be an official aether dimension with all the stuff that was in the classic version of the mod and maybe some more things. This would be Mojang's way of essentially high-fiving mod creators and the community. It would be a massive pr boost plus a lot of fun to see what could be done/what would be done. Now for something more out there how about a dimension pack I call "Worlds+". So essentially the three new dimensions would all be based on the three base dimensions in the game i.e. the overworld, nether and end. But these new dimensions would do a massive spin on them, things like some new mobs, some decoration blocks and some items, and finally some bosses. Of course the new + dimensions should have new biome layouts and structures. Each dimension could also have three new bosses per dimension, maybe boss inspired by the witherstorm for nether+, a boss made out of crystals for the end+ and to be even more experimental a boss that is a dungeon that needs the player to break certain blocks to deplete its health (I would go on but nah) The final dimension should be......a cave dimension. It would fit perfectly with the recent addition since the caves and cliffs update is the most recent one and custom dimensions feature was added recently as well. I mean with this dimension you could have actually interesting mineshafts, little digging quarries filled with new pickaxes and other things. Hell maybe make it so torches barely work and the player must carry a lamp on them that must be filled with oil (found only in this dimension). The possibilities are endless. So to finish this off Mojang do this or don't I ain't Microsoft. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Aug 2021 11:50 AM PDT There should be sharks, but they should be passive. Irl sharks dont hurt people its just there are a lot of harmful stereotypes. This would help remove the stereotypes. Sharks never actively hunt humans irl, unlike polar bears, but polar bears are in the game. SHark attacks happen because the shark mistakes people for food, and they are rarer than winning the lottery. Also, sharks are endangered, and often killed in bycatch and by the cruel shark fin trade, so this would help raise awareness for that. [link] [comments]
Pigs should become boar in cold climates or before being fed Posted: 07 Aug 2021 01:58 PM PDT Simple pigs should be boar in cold biomes like the tundra or ice spikes and should become pigs after domestication. [link] [comments]
Bedrock should have some improvements to gui Posted: 07 Aug 2021 06:26 AM PDT Crafting, inventory, all that stuff is simple to get over with if you play Java. Since you have shift, ctrl, etc. For example, double tapping a hotbar slot makes the item being thrown out. Or maybe holding to craft items using all the resources at once instead of just clicking multiple times. It would make bedrock much simpler. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Aug 2021 04:50 AM PDT Well if a dungeon or mineshaft generated exposing to anywhere over 11 light levels, the spiders will not be hostile to you and the chests will be too easy to loot. To fix this problem, the spiders will aggro when a player opens a dungeon or mineshaft chest. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Aug 2021 02:03 PM PDT This is a item that doesn't do anything and it only drops when a tamed wolf dies. It drops with the same color as the wolf's color. Players can put these in item frames for manorial after loosing a friend. There should also be an achievement when a wolf dies defending a player. [link] [comments]
Please suggest things make sense Posted: 07 Aug 2021 03:30 AM PDT A lot of people understand the concept of realism and balancing very wrong, Yes some mechanics and traits will set the hardness of the game but just think, Youre suggesting a new dimension and saying players shouldnt be able to place water. So they cant live that easly in this new dimension, why? Why putting water to this new dimension is forbidden? Ä°n nether you cant put water because it is hot. Otherwise there no any sensefull reason to why players cant put any water source to this new dimension, its just very strects and make no sense You suggested a powerfull item require a part of a mob, okey this isnt a bad idea but why. Why feather of a parrot make a elytra faster, why eye of a spesific boss can make your sword more powerfull why you need that rare item for upgrade your stuff? This make no sense and a forcibly added feature just so your idea not be op… yes minecraft is a fantastical game and you cant put realism to everyting but for stuff to make sense and feel organic you need realism, even a little bit. Posted: 07 Aug 2021 12:21 PM PDT What if they implemented a copper Hopper, difference being it only has one or maybe 2 slots of "storage" or whatever you want to call it, but it'd transfer items say maybe twice as fast as a regular hopper, and could also transfer items upwards instead of just laterally or downwards. My thought behind this is hoppers are quite slow but due to them being around for so long I don't ever see them getting an update making them faster, so why not just make a variant, the copper Hopper, instead?
