Golems that were made with a pumpkin named on an anvil should be named after the pumpkin. Posted: 03 Sep 2021 07:53 AM PDT I don't know if this works in the game, but I'll suggest it anyway: if you name a pumpkin and use it to make a snow or iron golem, it should come with the name of the pumpkin.📷 [link] [comments]

Make it so that sand can be melted in blast furnaces. Posted: 03 Sep 2021 07:07 AM PDT We should be able to do that. It would speed up melting sand by a lot. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2021 12:50 PM PDT Right now, soul fire only exists in the form of blocks, when an entity catches fire through soul fire, the fire animation on the entity is just regular fire. This doesn't only look slightly inconsistent, it also means that the double damage a soul fire block deals doesn't carry over to when the entity leaves the fire. If entities could be engulfed by blue flames that deal double/more damage than regular fire, this could also make fire aspect ll more interesting for combat. This could also be applied to arrows. Currently fire aspect two just sets the victim on fire for longer, but with blue entity fire, it could also have a higher d/s rate. Please tell me your thoughts on this concept. change the recipe of TNT blocks (using a new item: TNT charge) Posted: 03 Sep 2021 05:41 AM PDT 1st point: I know it is an old minecraft recipe... but It doesn't make any sense to need SAND to make a TNT block! Most users needing many TNT blocks currently just duplicate them where they are used with TNT duplicating devices, or detroy entire deserts in order to gather the sand, They also duplicate the sand using end portals. Using duplicating mechanics should not be a normal way to do, nor destroying the landspace Second point The TNT block is the unique destructive block but powerfull. You could have smaller explosives, and TNT block just being the most powerful of them . So that is why I propose the recipe of: TNT charge (new item): 1 string, 2 gun powders, 4 papers EDIT the recipe could give 3 charges This could be placed like candles an being lit just like them (only placable not throwable) way smaller destructive power than TNT blocks, breaks wood quite easily and could break few stone blocks only TNT block: 9 TNT charges: ( same functionalities as today) Use renewable ressources in order to craft the TNT stuff ( make more use of: string farms, sugarcane farms) and avoid the need to duplicate some items Landscape friendly for the production! You can use smaller explosives in your mines and use more or them at the same time, without blasting the entire caves [link] [comments]
Tree of looming (not sure if this is a good or bad idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Posted: 03 Sep 2021 10:14 AM PDT Tree of looming (the name for a group of phantoms) The tree of looming is a naturally generated structure that can be found in either dark oak forests or swamps it is incredibly noticable as its size is bigger and taller compared to its surroundings Its appearance looks like a dead tree At day the tree of looming is just a large dead tree but at night phantoms swarm around the tree guarding a treasure (the treasure appears regardless of the time) Opening/destroying the treasure will give you the potion effect called nightmare The nightmare potion effect lasts for 60 minutes once the timer runs out your nightmare will commence (similar to a raid) regardless of where you are (drinking milk will only acivate the nightmare faster) The nightmare has 3 waves 1st wave is 3 phantoms 2nd wave is 3 phantoms and 2 dream eaters 3rd wave is 3 phantoms, 2 dream eaters and 1 nightmare hunter Dream eater a mob similar to the phantom mob but white and becomes less visible in areas where there is light but you can still see the eyes and particle effect Drops: Phantom membrane, totem of undying and white dreaded wings Nightmare hunter a mob similar to the phantom but black, bigger, and it has more health and damage compared to phantoms it has a 10% chance of inflicting blindess to the player for 3 seconds Drops: Phantom membrane, totem of undying, Black dreaded wings(2x) The black and white dreaded wings are used to upgrade the elytra Just put 2 white dreaded wings in a crafting table to make a large white dreaded wing same goes to the black one After that, put the 2 large black and white wings to the left and right of the crafting table(or vice versa) and put a lead in the middle of the crafting table to make the night cloud wings And last is put the elytra and the wings in the anvil and there you have it Night cloud wings buffs: Faster flying speed Less damage on flight impact Increased durability Phantoms become neutral mobs Decreased mob detection range by 4 blocks Keeps the momentum and speed upon going underwater (can't be used underwater though) And a cool black and white particle effect upon flight and during flying [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2021 03:10 PM PDT The Azalea Forest would be a rare biome that only spawns if a Lush Caves biome reaches the surface. It would feature large azalea trees, bushes, and lots of moss and flowers. It would also have large lakes with tons of clay and dripleaves. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2021 07:20 AM PDT I don't think that farlands will ever really get into a proper Minecraft world serving as the border to a endless world And it cant be a biome because it would be too sudden So why not a world type sorta like the amplified world type [link] [comments]
Right click a piston with a slime ball to make it a sticky piston Posted: 03 Sep 2021 03:48 PM PDT Simple, but if you hold a slime ball in your hand and right click on a piston it makes it a sticky piston. it would be a visual thing but also could be cool so you wouldn't have to always go to a crafting table. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2021 08:52 AM PDT I think, we would ask to use Dragon Breath to make a "Splash Potion" that has the same effect as that breath it does (the one that deals a lot of continuous damage) [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Sep 2021 02:42 PM PDT I heard 1.18 is making mountains, so why not also have volcanos? Volcanos could be like regular mountains but the stone is replaced with smooth basalt and all other stone types could be replaced with tuff. There is an increased amount of coal in volcanos and some coal ores generate as coal blocks instead. Most volcanos will have a big pool of lava at the top and have smaller volcanos nearby it. It can generate anywhere but it most commonly generates in an ocean, jungle, near other mountains, or a snowy tundra. Volcanos can be snowy if in the right conditions. Volcanos may also contain a jungle (unless it's in a cold biome). They can be as tall as mountains although is is slightly more common to find shorter volcanos. Volcanos will NOT erupt because I don't want any natural disasters in the game! There will be 3 layers of a volcano. The lowest layer will have regular biome generation. The middle layer will have small patches of grass and course dirt. The top layer will be made entirely out of basalt. Inside of the lava pool, you will find lots of magma and tuff. However there is a chance there won't be any lava but instead there is gravel. This will complete the mountains and look beautiful. Additionally, it will also make it much easier to obtain magma, lava, and smooth basalt. I can't think of any reason why this won't improve the game. [link] [comments]
Bedrock torch update for caves and cliffs Posted: 03 Sep 2021 03:56 PM PDT As a bedrock player, I'd really like the ability to hold torches in my offhand so that my view is illuminated without having to place a ton of torches every time it gets dark, which would be incredibly difficult from here on out considering how wild the caves are. [link] [comments]
increased ore spawn rates near mineshafts Posted: 03 Sep 2021 01:13 PM PDT those are simply more dangerous due to cobwebs and spiders, but less rewarding, additionally you discover very small area. those big caves are overpowered in terms of mining diamonds and other stuff anyways, i think those caves should get nerfed, but chunks with mineshafts should generate with more ores, also that would explain why is it there and not somewhere else, just like badland mineshafts, that were built to mine gold [link] [comments]
Handheld Lantern/Hanging Lantern Posted: 03 Sep 2021 04:18 PM PDT Have you ever wanted to see more clearly inside caves but don't want to ruin them with torches? Fear no longer with the introduction of the Handheld Lantern! Take a bamboo stick and a lantern (even a soul lantern), put them in a crafting table and boom, you have a handheld lantern! You hold the bamboo stick as the lantern dangles below, so you won't have it in your vision. You'll just have the small bamboo stick not covering up too much. Obviously this would require dynamic lighting but I think it would work really well. [link] [comments]
Some potions secondary effects and ideas Posted: 03 Sep 2021 07:20 AM PDT So i had ideas of things potions can do except the effect they give you For example you know how there's a lingering potion of water? it's pointless...well you can maybe use it as a temporary water source that means that when you throw it, it'll make a water source for a set duration and after it will vaporise and what will that be useful for? Well you can use it to make a water source in the nether! that will act like normal water but in the nether. another idea is for a wither potion that will be brewed with a wither star and for the cost of it it will be pretty op, it will only exist as a lingering potion of withering, that will instantly kill all players and mobs in the splash area and all crops in a certain range will start to wither until they break and despawn the drops, it will also apply wither to all entities and mobs that enter after the initial hit for 1 minute, the actual lingering will stay only for 10 seconds and with the warden coming, i think a potion of stealth will help as he seems as a pretty tanky and pretty hard hitting enemy. The potion will not make you immune or anything, it will just allow you to move around without agroing them tho if you get 3 blocks or closer the potion will stop working, or if you hit the warden, i think it will be an upgrade to the invisibility potion by adding something that the warden drops so you'll have to kill a warden to use it I looked around and didn't find these suggestions and excuse me if i repeated any! Sakura Forest (Moobloom Inclusion) Posted: 03 Sep 2021 03:54 PM PDT The idea I propose today is the Sakura Forest. It is of course a forest filled with tons of Cherry Blossom trees with a possible connection to Mooblooms. I know many were disappointed at Moobloom's defeat during 2020's mob vote so having a biome dedicated to them with many colour variations as well as bees... It would be very nice. Not only that, but the forests can be quite gloomy and foggy, so if you want to move through the fog without getting lost, you'll have to turn to our moobloom friends here to guide the way, as they clear the fog around them when walking. Anyways, just an idea I had. I feel like the forest and Mooblooms could have many interconnected behaviours. Thanks for reading! [link] [comments]
Breaking cactus with bare hands causes self-damage Posted: 03 Sep 2021 08:49 AM PDT
Posted: 03 Sep 2021 02:47 AM PDT You should be able to make a key with 3 iron and with a key and wooden block you can make a locked chest, with a locked chest only the player who has the key can open the chest or break it, if you use an anvil to forge the key into a pickaxe axe shovel or sword then you can break the chest with it. I think this would be a good idea so people don't steal loot like if someone new joins and they come and see al this loot they will obviously take it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Sep 2021 09:57 PM PDT Ok SO. The concept is pretty simple- a set of notches at the (left?) bottom edge of your screen that take the general sound level in your area and visually display it. If we are to assume there are 15 levels of sound- for 15 levels of redstone- than we can have 5 notches and just have them be color coded by green, yellow and red (possibly having an extra option to display them separate from each other to assist colorblind folks). Maybe for coolness effect- or horror effect if it's the warden you're dealing with- at maximum noise level the icons can flash red-white slowly to indicate you need to RUUUUN! Ok so why is this super important? Well, subtitles are a good start but not every deaf player who joins and turns on subtitles is going to realize the warden works off of sound. It might be easier for the average player to realize- "oh hey if I sneak these sculk things don't react and neither does the hulking monstrosity"- but it might be harder for someone who doesn't hear. Admittedly, I am not deaf and know no deaf people so maybe I'm grossly underestimating the situation. But there's one thing I'm NOT underestimating (I think)- and that's how cool it is. I'd probably turn on the bar anyway even if I can hear perfectly, and I think a significant number of people would. First of all, it's information that's normally vague (without reading a wiki) made obvious. Good for people who wanna know how comparatively LOUD something is for sculk redstone. Second of all, some people have their sound turned down or off sometimes. In these times, subtitles are GOOD but a sound meter can also be a great supplement to let you know if you should just be worried about something when you're underground. And third- well, subjectively, I just think it could look badass. It could be an added level of horror to hear the warden roar and the bars flash as you accidentally take a heavy fall, scaring you into sprinting away as fast as you can while the bars continue to flash at you for sprinting until you get into your tunnel where the abomination can't follow, sneak and watch the bars fall back to green along with your heartrate. Posted: 03 Sep 2021 09:08 AM PDT These are just some small village improvements (as long as some bigger ones) that would improve the villages. villager improvementschanging rewards:we all know that villagers can change their prices but what if they could change their rewards too? As an example, if you hit a villager instead of making it's prices go higher it could give you less things for the same price. Different villagers could even spawn with different preferences for which one they would do. generous villagers:if you beat a raid or kill mobs in the village baby villagers might give you flowers of course they would be more likely to if you beat a raid, adult villagers may also give small discount or higher rewards if you kill mobs in the village, of course this would be a very small discount. more mobs attacking villagers:we all know that zombies attack villagers but why don't other mobs attack them? It doesn't make much sense. golem improvementsgolem help:if golems are not attacking mobs and you are attacking mobs then the golem might come over to you to help. clean golems:the texture of the golem has vines and flowers but the only way to get them is by killing the golem and that only drops a poppy, so what if you could shear the golem, getting vines and a poppy or dandelion, and making the golem look clean. bigger improvementsvillager spacing:most people make villager trading halls where the villagers are in 1 block but the villagers probably won't like this, so using their pathfinding abilities, they can tell how many blocks they are given to move, if they're given 1-2 they won't trade, if they are given 3-7 they will make their prices higher or give you less reward, if they're given 8 and up they are not affected. But villagers can not share blocks and they will spread blocks evenly, as an example, if you give 8 villagers 8 blocks in the same space then they will all only get 1. brave villagers:we all know how iron farms work, a zombie scares some villagers and they spawn iron golems which are then killed. To get rid of iron farms and promote mining, what if they once again use their pathfinding abilities to see if the zombie can actually get to them and if they know it can't then they won't spawn an iron golem. Another way to do this would make it so that iron golems can't spawn in water. Both of these would make iron farms much harder to build so most people will just mine instead, but if the community doesn't like this maybe their can be some other late game solution.
