PLS STOP WITH THE VOTES and just start adding the previous lost options back in the game. Posted: 02 Sep 2021 01:14 PM PDT Frankly I too feel ridiculous repeating this once again, while so many others have already ranted for the longest times. But apparently Mojang either still have a good reason(apparently undisclosable) to do it again, or they just refuse to listen. Here are what I believe have been the most common opinions the community has had:
TLDR: Totally unnecessary and creates unnecessary disappointments. Just stop. [link] [comments] |
A way to see overall play time on all platforms Posted: 02 Sep 2021 05:25 AM PDT Somewhere in the launcher should be a way to see how many hours you have spent in the game. I know you can see from statistics world time but what about overall time. Kinda like in Steam. That's just a little thing I would like to see with big meaning to alot of us [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Sep 2021 04:32 AM PDT What if some oceans were deep enough to peek into the deep dark biomes? What if there was new underwater skulk mobs? Like a skulktipus, a skulk fish, or a skulk angler fish. I think this would be an awesome addition to the game with the release of the caves and cliffs for us who love ocean exploration. Imagine that scene from finding Nemo where that angler fish tries to lure marlin and dory in with his light. I think this would be quite interesting for a new mob idea in a deeper darker ocean. A mob that dwells in the darkness luring prey in with it's attractive light. I also think it would be a horror factor to the game, since the ocean is a no go for me. [link] [comments] |
REALISTIC and IMPORTANT 1.19 update Posted: 02 Sep 2021 02:09 PM PDT Minecraft java edition has come a long way since since it's previous update however one thing that been neglected is performance, with the game increasingly becoming more demanding each update and with every new feature added I think it's time that a 1.19 performance update should be implemented. I understand that it's quite a boring task for the Dev team and perhaps it has been out off in order to keep updates interesting and ground breaking for players but given that Minecraft is at a height in popularity right now I think it's the perfect time this happens. Proof of concept has been proven over and over with mods such as sodium, lithium, phosphor, krypton, entity culling and much more which are all things that mojang should take inspiration from. Minecraft is at a point where it threatens becoming more and more demanding that it loses players with lower end specs on newer versions such as OpenGL changes on 1.17 Just an idea but an idea that is long due [link] [comments] |
Coffee, a new use for the Brewing Stand (Reimagined) Posted: 02 Sep 2021 05:13 AM PDT Coffee would be another user for the Brewing stand. It would be made with water (not an awkward potion) and a roasted coffee item . Coffee beans would be found in the jungle, and would look nearly the same as cocoa beans, but the pod would be brown instead of orange. To make roasted coffee you would simply cook a coffee bean in a furnace (it would not be affected by any special furnaces and would take the same amount of time as an ingot). Coffee would clear insomnia (hence resetting the meter to 0, making the game think you just slept) but it would give you weakness 1. (I am the person who originally posted "Coffee a new use for the Brewing stand" and this Reimagined version is simply me reposting it to include other people's great comments such as roasting coffee or clearing insomnia as neither of those were originally my idea.) Please let me know if you have anything else you want to add in the comments and I will get back to you as soon as I can. 😊 [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Sep 2021 07:46 PM PDT If a crossbow with this enchantment is in your hotbar, it will automatically start to reload. Attempting to manually charge the crossbow before it has been fully charged will reset the timer. The higher the enchantment level, the faster the reload will be. Recharge I - 8 seconds Recharge II - 6 seconds Recharge III - 4 seconds While this enchantment may seem overpowered, note that it would be incompatible with Quickcharge. IMO this would be a really interesting enchantment, as while Quickcharge supports a more aggressive use of the crossbow, Recharge would support a more passive usage. [link] [comments] |
Add deep sea/underwater abyss biomes in fps list Posted: 02 Sep 2021 07:22 AM PDT There has been too many ideas and concepts and they have ideas that feel too similar (angler fish, darkness). They feel too much like underwater Deep dark. They have been posted quite frequently usually cannot go without a week of seeing an underwater dark biome post. While I admit that some are good and put effort, the concept has been getting milked already enough times to the point its almost losing some originality. I do think that the feature should exist though but just that the idea has been posted too many times. Proof: https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/comments/pgg0o4/deep_dark_oceans/ https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/comments/p9mzr2/the_abyss/ https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/comments/pd90yf/new_sea_biome_the_deep_trench/ You could type in underwater, abyss, trench, deep in the search. Posted: 02 Sep 2021 04:01 PM PDT How it works: When a chunk is unloaded it remembers the world's age, and when it's loaded again it compares the difference in time, it then applies the difference to the chunk. What does this mean? It means that crops and time-based blocks like copper will age even if the player isn't nearby. This wouldn't affect items or redstone contraptions, mostly just crops/plants and certain blocks ( Like copper, dripstone, amethyst crystals, furnaces ). And what if: When a player goes to sleep, the game calculates how much of the night is left and applies that time to the world when the player wakes up. Time consuming tasks like growing crops or smelting items in a furnace would have a way to be sped up, encouraging and rewarding players for sleeping! ( Which is better than punishing them with phantoms for not sleeping ) [link] [comments] |
Ships and Navigation (Larger Boats Variant) Posted: 02 Sep 2021 02:39 PM PDT I believe that ocean navigation needs more than just a screaming fast piece of wood along, In order to solve this problem I propose Ships and Navigation. The Ships: -They would be the same or something similar to the sunken ships in design -They would act as a form of mobile base, with all of the basics (crafting table, furnace, bed, and chest) -They would be crafted in smaller pieces via the crafting table and then you would have to put the pieces together to finally arrive at the completed ship. (mast, cabin, lower deck, etc...) The Navigation: -The ships would include an enhanced form of the cartography table, which would enable placing markers, and have a larger "Map Discovery" area compared to simply walking with a map. I believe this addition would allow for a greater ability to explore the vast world of Minecraft because there's no real need to stay close to base, and It would greatly improve the current mapping system of Minecraft. Add “Fix bugs and lag update” to the FPS list Posted: 02 Sep 2021 02:33 PM PDT I see them everywhere, and they aren't helpful. Mojang is working on performance and bugs, but an update of just that would be, for many, disappointing. Minecraft updates are supposed to please all game styles. Just performance pleases, who? Camera doesn't collide with blocks while on spectator mode Posted: 02 Sep 2021 10:38 AM PDT Third person camera collides with blocks so you can't see through them, but in spectator mode, that doesn't matter, and having your camera suddenly snap back to your face while moving through blocks is annoying... It's a small change, but would make spectator mode more comfortable [link] [comments] |
Flame II (only for bows and crossbows without multishot!) Posted: 02 Sep 2021 03:42 PM PDT The flame II enchantment for bows makes that the arrows that do not hit an entity but a block ignite a fire if the block is flammable like real fire arrows in the middle age. Flame II can't be crafted, you must find this extremely rare enchantment in any kind of temple. (only for bows and crossbows without multishot!t) [link] [comments] |
New Biome for the Nether called "The Creeping Corruption" Posted: 01 Sep 2021 10:47 PM PDT (it has Nothing to do with Creepers) This is a Purplish Biome. It is like the warped and Crimson Forest but purple and less Giant Fungi, there more spread out. New plant called the Hypno shroom. It is like a Purple mushroom in the form of the Azalea Bush. If you step on it, it fires spores around it that will stun mobs temporally. Use them as a weapon to fight the dangerous mobs of this biome. I hated that the only Hostile mobs added in the nether update where hoglins and zoglins. All the others were neutral or peaceful. Because of this. All mobs in The Creeping Corruption will be Hostile. Here are some of those mobs. Corrupted Piglin/Wild Piglin: they have No weapons and walk hunchback. If you Go near they will Let out a Cry of Rage and will Run at you. They are good at Dodging attacks and will Inflict The Wither Effect. Sludge: purple slime that explodes into Spores that will blind you. Edit ok 3 hostile mobs. They added Piglin brutes [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Sep 2021 03:49 PM PDT Currently, Redstone repeaters can only delay a signal for a maximum of 4 in-game ticks, which means you need 5 repeaters to equal 1 second. This makes creating long delays a nightmare, especially for mapmakers like myself. I do not think Redstone repeaters should be changed, but would rather have a new Redstone component that is basically an upgraded form of the repeater. With this new component, you would be able to set a delay for a specific amount of time. You would do this by opening an interface and typing in a number, instead of tediously right-clicking. Now, I understand that this component could be too much for survival mode. If that's the case, it could be exclusive to creative mode much like the command block. All I know is that placing 300 repeaters for a 1-minute delay is NOT okay. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Sep 2021 02:32 PM PDT Since a lot of people seem to think the end overhaul will come pretty soon after 1.18, I had an idea on how to really change the way the end functions. Instead of their being the classic void beneath all of the islands why not have a mirrored version of the islands and cities below as well (upside down) if a player under the island their POV will flip as if gravity has reversed and the underpart of these islands could be anything. One idea is that the underparts could be a corrupt version of the end which would open the door for a possible new fortress and legion of mobs. This would mean that the size of the end islands would most likely have to be dramatically increased to fit (and hide) all of the new things below to 1. Make it very hard to see/traverse to and 2. Because with this idea the surface area of traversable land would double meaning a lot more to explore and a ton of more end dimension to cover. [link] [comments] |
Reduce the spawning rate of nether portal ruins Posted: 02 Sep 2021 04:15 PM PDT Yes, just the title, seems like they spawn every 200 blocks and it's a bit ridiculous. I understand that they are suppose to teach new players about the nether but it feels too littered with how many of them spawn. Should feel a bit more exciting and rare to find them instead of: "hey look, it's another gold tool dump" [link] [comments] |
Posted: 02 Sep 2021 03:25 PM PDT I like crystals in the shape of dripstones in very deep caves (not the deep dark) and they would have a light level like a brown mushroom. [link] [comments] |
Goat horn and fireworks should NOT stun the Warden Posted: 02 Sep 2021 01:13 PM PDT It's safe the assume the Warden will work simular to the Sculk Detector. Saying it sence vibrations is missleading as it detects movement and drastic changes in blocks, not sound. It doesn't detect note blocks, juke boxes, mob sounds, so the warden shouldn't either. Besides, using snowballs and croutching like in the trailer do the trick. [link] [comments] |
Give Philza a Hardcore heart cape. Posted: 02 Sep 2021 12:56 PM PDT Well, he has survived in the same world for 5 years, even that deserves a hardcore cape, but being the most iconic Hardcore player, he should get a cape, with a heart in the middle. [link] [comments] |
Totem Pets! (this is an idea from my mod I’m developing) Posted: 02 Sep 2021 10:04 AM PDT Now I recently lost my dog in my hardcore world (he's been with me for 3 years) but what if their was a way to equip tamed mobs with Totems of Undying. I'd imagine it transforms the set mob into a golden totem variant of that mob and they would have new abilities. Like regen (1 hp per 20 seconds) or unique powers. Parrots could help battle against phantoms and other aerial mobs. Foxes could give steal items from players and mobs. If they received fatal damage, the pet would most likely transform into a normal mob. What do you think? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Sep 2021 11:42 PM PDT The current trees in Minecraft should be changed to be more realistic/rounded, instead of holding the very flat, square designs they usually have. Additionally, more tall trees (with 'bending' trunks as acacia trees often have) could spawn, with reasonable heights so survival players can cut down the wood. It would be nice to see all oak trees take a more natural shape, similar to those of a large oak tree (but with varying sizes, of course). The same could be applied to birch trees, but their design could include more narrow trees, like they are in real life. Spruce trees would benefit most from an overhaul. With a few exceptions, many of the naturally spawning designs don't look anything like a spruce tree, and typically contain a tower of wood with a little bit of leaves at the top. At the very least, the designs could be changed so only realistic varieties (ie. triangular shaped ones) spawn. As for dark oak and jungle trees, I think they're ugly, especially with how flat they are on the top, and that you can see the wood blocks through the top leaves. I think the tops shouldn't be so flat, because seeing all these relatively flat trees from the top looks boring.Making them taller and thicker would help make the thick trunks look less bulky. Lastly, dead trees that are still standing would be a neat feature for Minecraft to add, especially in desert biomes. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 01 Sep 2021 08:38 PM PDT Chiming Arrows are arrows crafted with eight spectral arrows surrounding an amethyst shard. These arrows make a "chime" noise when you hit a mob with one. They also make a cool wizzing sound when you shoot them. The inspiration for this idea came from me wanting to make a new arrow with an amethyst shard. This idea makes sense with the amethyst shard, I think, but I'm not sure how many people would use it. It doesn't seems like many people use the spectral arrow. I wonder if there could be a way these arrows could be buffed. The first idea I had was that the arrows would do more damage, but the draw speed would be a tad slower on the normal bow, and unaffected on the crossbow. I also considered if the arrows could teleport back in your inventory if they missed, if they did more damage to certain mobs but something unique. we already have smite, bane, etc that cover the undead and spiders (and others), so something unique like if they did more damage to magical mobs, or if they did more damage at close range, or if they could hit enderman (an idea i wanted to share, but do not think should be in the game) Anyways, let me know your ideas for a new arrow, and if it involves the amethyst shard.
