We have an active user base and strive to be welcoming to people of all backgrounds. Harassment of any type is not allowed. Welcome to Desolate Lands, an MMORPG where you battle dangerous monsters, learn powerful abilities, explore the expansive world, and fight against other players in an epic battle for domination. We recently released an update, including Trivia events every 2 hours, a new boss, quests, support for new players, and more! More info on the Conquest Update Here's a few cool features the server has: Quests We created a completely new, revamped Quest System which has amazing new features like quest choices, cutscenes, option rewards, escort quests and much, much more. There are plenty of quests to enjoy, all the way from Level 0 to Level 150. Clans We just released a custom new clan system, including the ability to level up your clan from gameplay, create custom ranks, unlock clan perks, and create your own Clan Island far off at sea. Build your epic home and defend your island at night from dangerous monsters of the sea! Bosses Powerful, dangerous bosses of all sorts reside all across the world. Whether it's in a dark cave to the side of a mountain, or the top of a gigantic tree, bosses can show up at any time, any where- even when you least expect it. Dynamic Gameplay The world is extremely dynamic, and changes based on day, night, or even the weather. Enemies with all kinds of abilities can appear at night to devastate unprepared explorers. And within the haunting rain, terrifying bosses may hunt you if you venture too far. However, daylight is not something to completely desire- different monsters will come for you in the day, too. Classes The classes system may seem traditional at first- the typical Mage, Archer, Rogue, and Warrior. However, once you reach Level 30, classes branch to different options to suit your desired play-style. Whether it's becoming a powerful crossbowman, or an evil necromancer, you decide how you play. Items Explore the vast world to find all sorts of items. All items have randomized stat values to keep the experience unique. The server is intended to be a kingdom builder and faction server with a progressive feel, the description below can give you a good feel for pack and its workings. The server is run in forge and therefor lacks traditional spigot mods that typically add grief protection to your bases and therefor Progressing the mod Minecolonies, using FTB TEAMS and the in game locks mods are the only way to ensure your things are protected so dont put it off, this is intentional and the server is intended to have a more Medieval and dangerous pvp feel that will demand hard work to shape into a real experience. These can range from dragons and sea serpents to cockatrices and Crazy fusion monsters from Lycanites, and are complemented by deep improvements to vanilla mobs and animals with mods like Alex Mobs, Illagers+, Aquaculture, Animalium, Better animals plus, Pams Harvestcraft Food Core, Genetic animals, Rats, Buzzier Bees, Exotic Birds, sapience… You get it there's a lot. Arms, Armour, and Allies You're going to need decent gear and strong allies on your side if you want to survive out here, take inventory of the various utilities at your disposal to ensure your backpack and tool belt always have what you need to overcome your foes in those tight spots. First and foremost your most useful and achievable set of tools are going to be with Silent gear as its the main mod in the pack for customizable gear and is compatible with other mods (Dragon Gear and Managear) for some VERY powerful early and late game options, I recommend starting to use QOL tool mods like Backpacks, Toolbelts, Waystones, Bountiful Baubles, Archers Paradox, Advanced Hook Launchers, Nature's Compass, DWMH, Locks (on the server), Miners Helmet, Torchmaster, training dummies, Iron Furnaces, and a combination of Iron chest and storage drawers to keep yourself organised . Then surround yourself with powerful allies and pets, Craft an empire with Minecolonies and defend kingdom with guards, train man's best friend to be fearsome pal with Doggy Talents, hire Guard Villagers, Tame Unique Mounts with Lycanites, Grow a pet dragon with ice and fire and take your world with fire and blood. If you're a builder like me I hope you'll enjoy the new toys you get to play with in Chisel and bits, Macaws: Doors, Trapdoors and windows, Fairy Lights, Cooking for blockheads, Supplementaries, Decorative Blocks and extended lights to help really bring your world to life. Arcane Arsenal: The magics of this place are complex and deep and offer lesions both new and old that are sure to keep you digging through dusty tomes with unbridled curiosity , often integrated into the world ive found everything from the flowers and bees, to the stars in the sky all serve a purpose that is deeper than the surface level The magic mods are a plenty in the pack with old favorites like Botania, Astral Sorcery, Evilcraft and Bloodmagic front rowl alongside a host of new and exciting Mods like Ars Nouveau, Mana and Artifice, Enigmatic Legacy, Eidolon, Lord Craft and Mahou Tsukai. Possibly one of my favorite things about the pack is all the amazing dimensions to explore like Twilight forrest, Atum, The undergarden, The abyss and Ratlantis, Vanilla enchanting is also revolutionized by the combination of Apotheosis and Enscorilation to allow higher than normal levels.
