Right now we're experimenting with a beta map until our plugins get stable builds out. Progress on the beta map is not permanent, but players will be rewarded once the official server is up, for helping contribute to development. The future of the server: As stated we're currently in beta, we're just playing around with ideas, and polishing things off until our plugins update, allowing us to start the official map. Everyone who plays Elysia is hand-picked by our staff and community, this ensures everyone you meet will be kind and respectful. Many have been with us since the early days, and for very good reason. Over the years we've put a lot of effort into crafting a perfect community and we're always welcoming to expanding that circle. All decisions made on Elysia are held to community vote, and even though I'm the owner I have no more control than any other player. Additions are chosen by our community, as are our rules, events and anything else we do. This ensures full transparency and makes sure everyone is happy with the direction we go in. Who are we looking for?We're welcoming to players of all ages and time zones, experience within Minecraft is irrelevant as we're happy to welcome both new and professional players. We're community driven at our core, often hosting events and creating community builds. If you'd like to be a lone wolf, or even just keep within your own friendship circle, we have no problem with that either. Elysia has many talented builders and redstone wizards - if you'd like to make some friends and collaborate on a big project, we're perfect for that too. We aim to maintain a consistent player base 24/7, hoping for around 10-15 players consistently as per previous versions. A new season always brings everyone online at once, don't be discouraged if we seem a little busy for you in our first week - it quietens down. Land ownership/protectionThere are no claiming plugins, you're expected to respect player-set borders and play within the server's rules. Grief and cheat prevention is taken seriously, we have staff active all around the clock and plentiful tools to ensure nothing bad happens. Even in worse case scenarios, we have plugins in place to revert and restore all losses (including regularly scheduled backups), as well as plugins to easily identify any wrongdoers. DDOS protection is also active on our server. We also have the option to outline your land on Dynmap, if you'd like to ensure nobody starts building where you are or intend to.
