A Scoop of Vanilla is a friendly Minecraft orientated gaming community and has been in operation for over 5 years. We just started our 8th map on August 29th 2018. This is a long-term map with no reset planned for at least a year. Here is a community made photo album of their first week on this map! While Minecraft is our main love, many in the community also play many other games together such as Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, League of Legends and PUBG. We are a very welcoming, friendly, and inclusive community from all over the world looking to grow and meet new friends. What makes us different Our community is the defining feature of the server. A Scoop of Vanilla has a server culture of being extremely friendly and social. It is not uncommon for members to end up exchanging contact information or adding each other on social media and becoming friends beyond the scope of the game. As far as server operation goes our admin team has taken it upon themselves to host the server at personal cost, not asking for or accepting any donations. We welcome all ages but expect a high level of maturity from all players regardless of age. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards theft, griefing and drama making. What this means to us is you have the freedom to play and build wherever and as large as you want. We try to be as open as possible with how we run the server and configure the server to have the best performance while keeping everything players build working. We never reset the world, and we make constant backups of the server files just in case. The way we keep it fresh is by changing the world spawn point every year so new players can find new areas easier and old players can keep on building. We have recently switched over to using bungeecord so now all of our servers are connected by a central hub and we can chat across all worlds. Servers ExNihilo: This server consist of three survival worlds. Amplified hard survival with keep items on death, since 2015 Vanilla hard survival with drop items on death, since 2016 Vanilla hard survival with drop items on death, since 1.13 update
Planum (superflat); Once you have mastered survival and feel like you need a bit of a challenge then come here to die repeatedly. Health regeneration is turned off, coordinates are hidden, and you spawn randomly. The goal is to survive and make a sustainable home with access to the nether.
Valhalla: Creative, new world and we are still building the spawn area so come and help us create and decide how we should run this world. It can be confusing on first join, but once you pick a world that you like and a spot you want to build then its really easy to continue. Players decide how things should be changed, spawn towns are created by players. We keep things simple, no crazy plugins, no overwhelming rules, no pay to win. We do have a patreon but we do not give any in game bonuses for supporting the server. Players who play on the server and are able to can help keep the server running for as little as 1 dollar a month, completely optional. Plugins Each server has some plugins to help deal with griefers, we can roll back any damage made by specific players without bringing down the server, our survival server uses essentials so we can set up protected player run shops, and we use DiscordSRV to be able to link our in game chat with our discord. I have just recently come upon 10$ a month to host a small 20 player server. Mods I'm using: Grief protection, Essentials, and Antihack. I don't like overwhelming my players with mods they might never use. Some are definitely helpful, but I want to provide a decent experience minus the griefing. Rules

I have a lot of experience. I'm looking for players who want to be in a small, close-knit community with each other. Of course, if you prefer building and playing by yourself then do it. I don't mind swearing, I don't mind more mature conversations in the chat, just don't overdo it to the point where I have an admin step in. Speaking of Admins, I don't have any. However, don't think that you will come onto my server and get easy access to Admin. At my current job, I am a supervisor that maintains and creates great leaders. If you want to become part of my staff, prove that you can be a leader. I don't want to hear how many other servers you have been an admin on, I'll see it if you are. Donations - Donator Class I hate the concept of Donator classes. Who wants to go into a server, and know someone donated money to be better than anyone in the server? I can't stand it. In the future, I might add a Donation button to keep the server running, but it won't convey any added features aside from maybe a chat icon(still against this idea because it creates bias later on). Donators will NEVER have a better chance at being an admin either. You can not buy your way to success in my server, I feel that your real world status shouldn't effect your game status. Check out Terraplex, a brand new server with a brand new, actively-growing community! We are currently on version 1.13.2 and have been online since January 3, with a default world that will never be reset and a hands-off approach from administration. The server currently sees about 10-15 returning players online during peak hours each day. The environment is completely vanilla Minecraft. You'll open yourself up to Minecraft multiplayer at its most basic when you log on. Relive the experience of playing with other players in an unmodified default world, where admins do not interfere with what you're doing and you're free to play however you desire. In order to maximize the vanilla experience, however, use of hacked clients is discouraged (though allowed to an extent). There are no rules whatsoever. Want to build wherever and whatever you want? Think of the server as singleplayer but where you can play with your friends :) (no spawn etc) There are some simple rules such as no griefing, no stealing, and respect others. | DDMC [Semi-vanilla][Anarchy]{PvP}{1.13.2} Posted: 31 Jan 2019 08:44 PM PST Pretty simple concept here: I remember the old days of Minecraft, before bedwars and factions and other semi-"vanilla" servers, where playing the actual game of Minecraft was difficult. Getting lost was easy, creepers were actually dangerous, and going to the nether was actually an adventure. I want everyone to share my experience. The only gameplay-altering command DDMC allows is so that you can return to spawn. No /home. No /tpa. Nothing else. Even if you donate. You will have to carefully judge how far away from spawn you should build. Closer to spawn means more rewards for you, further away is safer. I want everyone to have to experience the 1 in real life week trek back to their base as I once had to do many times. Come check us out! The server is running on Enterprise level hardware at 99%+ uptime, with offsite snapshots every 6 hours, so the map will never be lost by accident. The map will never be reset.
