Our main focus lies on building a strong community and exploring the endless possibilities of this blocky world together. It doesn't matter if you are a newbie or a veteran, we welcome you to join us and carve out a small place to call home on our server. We have dedicated staff that works tirelessly for the goal of creating a protected space that exists seperate from the real world. A place where you can just relax and mine away. A place where you can simply forget about everyday life and have a fun time. Our community works together a lot but if you want to participate in it is up to you. We usually build a spawn village, share certain public farms and just help each other out. We have a dedicated shopping district and an economy using good old diamonds as currency. But you can just be a lone wolf and life in a remote corner of the map, pretending you are in a single player world! We offer you full creative freedom. There are some tiny modifications like an NPC quest but except for that the server is pure vanilla. No "keep inventory" or teleportation. We don't have a landclaim system either Claims work on trust and respect which worked out great in the past. Everything players do is logged, so it's impossible to steal or grief without the staff noticing. There wouldn't be a point to doing so either since everything can be reset. The server has been running since March 17, 2020 and we usually have 2-3 seasons (world resets) every year. The current season has been running for 3 months now. The server is hosted professionally on top of the line hardware with 20GB of RAM and runs pretty much lag free. We run the game in hard difficulty and you can join both with Java & Bedrock. We currently have about 8 to 10 active players so have space for more to join to help us grow. Based in Europe, we have players from all over the globe. We run the latest PaperMC but have removed some of the paper fixes so that e.g. bedrock breaking, improving villager trading by curing, etc is still allowed, together with a few plugins to assist with grief prevention and overall community integration. Players can set 3 homes to tp, but thats about it. It is a randomly generated survival map with a world border recently expanded to 20kx20k to generate new 1.18.1 terrain which can be found along the north and east borders. We try to keep the game as vanilla as possible. We've worked hard over the years cycling in players, optimizing things in backend to the best of our abilities, and creating events big and small for people to have fun. We started a few years back with a max player size of 5 for the few months we had our first world. Tatocraft started a new 'season' a few weeks after the release of 1.18 [started December 9th]. We started with a roster of around 20 including staff but a few moved on with our long downtime between seasons and a handful have life to tend to for a while before being able to fully return. So we're sitting at about 12 active players around the globe, all playing at differing times of day. So we're looking for 5-10 people to help have more players on during our less active times and to just add some new friends to the group. We're looking for someone that has ambitious ideas and not afraid to take them on. People here are willing to help each other with just about anything they can. Someone who is friendly and personable, whether or not they are a big talker. [i'm not a talker myself]. We don't have a quota or anything but would prefer someone who's going to spend a lot of time with us in the long run. The main thing we require of you is that you are 18 or older, have a fair amount of experience, and just love to play minecraft in a [mostly] vanilla setting. We will ask about those as well as what you individually will bring to the community. There's still a lot to be done by means of infrastructure and such. We still need a nether hub, a road system for the Shopping District and for games to be made for our Gaming Area. There's a minecart archery game, a few gambles, and UNO ready atm; and a casino in it's final stages before opening. That's a common problem, especially on raiding allowed servers. Here at Scylla's Rock we've set out to fix the common issues faced by many servers out there while giving it our own unique touch. Every decision we make is focused on our community, and how to make it as healthy as possible. We're entirely non-for-profit but will be adding cosmetic donations as time goes on {Rumor has it, in spring}. Most cosmetics will be available to non-paying players as well for diamonds or other in game resources or unlocked via lore quest completion. Our plugins and design encourage player interaction. To encourage new friendships, once you join the server; you'll be asked if you'd like to join one of three existing teams, more will come in the future. Each team is lead by a regular player. Team leaders can promote, demote, kick and invite players at will, giving access to more features within the team. Teams are also both pitted against each other as well as encouraged to interact whether peacefully or otherwise via crafting limitations. Each team having access to craft certain diamond gear, potions, or enchantments opening an opportunity for trade or theft. Next, as one journeys further from spawn, mobs will become more difficult, exponentially increasing after 3,500 blocks away from spawn (making this area unlivable), significantly limiting resources and habitable land. As new players join, we may push this border back further, but it's designed to make for players to stumble upon each other more often.
