So Foxes can hunt Salmon but Polar Bears don't? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 11:25 AM PST It's very unfortunate that Polar Bears were added in a rushed Development Stage where Mojang just wanted to push content quickly after the long waited 1.9 Combat Update. I understand their intention was get this Update (1.10) done and try to prevent Updates take long time to develop, but this decision came with some consequences which I consider the Polar Bear suffered badly, while we got recently Pandas with fancy and interesting Personalities and now Foxes with really intriguing AI. Polar Bears still there as a closed Project with a flat and boring feeling, I believe a little and closer look at them to improve some things (Just like Skeletons getting AI overhaul in 1.9) can make this aesthetic Mob interesting and serve properly as their main purpose, which is give the game more life aesthetically. Maybe adapt the new Fox Hunting-Fish mechanic can improve significantly the feeling that Polar Bears can give. [link] [comments] |
How about fennec foxes for the desert? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 01:19 PM PST since we got an white breed of foxes for the cold biomes I think making one for the desert would be nice too, we've already got rabbits in the desert that fit the color of the sand so a fox to hunt them would be a nice feature [link] [comments] |
Putting saplings in a furnace should give you dead bushes Posted: 13 Feb 2019 08:25 AM PST I don't think this would hurt. They are useful for decorating... [link] [comments] |
Revamping older mobs by adding in some new behaviors like what the fox can do Posted: 13 Feb 2019 12:18 PM PST It would be great if the older mobs were updated so they could do stuff that the foxes can do. Things like animals sleeping during the night, eating and picking up stuff dropped on the ground like what foxes do (wild wolves eating mutton from sheep, tamed wolves picking up and carrying dropped bones in their mouths, etc) and other neat details like that. It's great these new mobs are getting so many features, but it feels a bit like the older ones are getting a bit left behind in terms of how much they can actually do. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 12:42 PM PST All is in the title. Just a small suggestion that would be so much useful to me and probably many other people. [link] [comments] |
Villager personalities and emotions Posted: 13 Feb 2019 03:54 AM PST If you are familiar with villagers, then you would know that they have a profession ID and a career ID as well, my idea is that there should be personality IDs and emotion IDs as well. How this works When a villager spawns, the game will choose a random personality, and these are stuck will that villager forever, until he/she dies. Emotions, unlike personalities, emotions can change every day, or when a special event happens, like a successful trade or something like that. personalities examples:

why can't we eat glistening melon? Posted: 13 Feb 2019 01:11 PM PST we can eat golden carrots which have near the same crafting recipe and we can eat through solid gold blocks apparently thanks to god apples. is there a good reason why we can't eat glistening Mellon? [link] [comments] |
Though they are cute, foxes shouldn’t have wall-eyes. Posted: 13 Feb 2019 11:17 AM PST All of the herbivore passive mobs- cows, mooshrooms, sheep, and pigs- have walled eyes, but omnivores and carnivores- wolves, ocelots, cats, both bears, and villagers- have crossed eyes. (Birds and mobs with eyes on the sides of their head are not counted) However, the new foxes have walled eyes, though they are omnivores. This is even reflected in-game, with them eating literally every food item. As hunters, the foxes should have eyes facing forward. [link] [comments] |

You shouldn't be able to sleep during raids Posted: 13 Feb 2019 05:28 AM PST I think the Player shouldn't be able to sleep during a raid [link] [comments] |
The height to which a fox can jump over blocks should be changeable with commands Posted: 13 Feb 2019 01:33 PM PST |
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 02:12 PM PST Foxes will slowly eat cake placed on the ground nearby. Vote here too: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360041763952-Foxes-Eating-Cake [Not yet approved] [link] [comments] |
Red Fox & Arctic Fox differences Posted: 13 Feb 2019 01:40 PM PST "The red fox is physically dominant to the arctic fox, weighing up to double and being up to 70% longer, allowing them to prey on the arctic fox." So Red Foxes should be bigger, and be hostile to arctic foxes. Edit: And You shouldn't be able to crossbreed Red & Arctic foxes. It's not possible IRL. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 02:53 PM PST Boats, something sometimes I forget it exist. The boat was added in alpha 1.0.6, and it wasn't touched much since then, except in 1.8, in which they were given paddles, and not much happened since then, so here's a few suggestions I'd like to throw out: 1: you should be able to see items in your hand, like maps, when riding it 2: there should be boats chest, similar to minecart chests but rideable. 3: more types of boats, like bamboo, or sugarcane (?) Other boat related ideas: Submaries: a transport method similar to that of boats, but allow you to go underwater without the need to breathe [link] [comments] |
Invisible Potion Effect on Items and armors, using dragon's breath Posted: 13 Feb 2019 11:54 AM PST Currently if players drink invisible potion or splash a bottle of invisible potion near them, only the players' body part become invisible. The armors, shields, and the items the player is holding, still not invisible at all. I think we can do something for it, not just taking off armors or free the hands, to hide these visible parts. If a player splashes a bottle of invisible potion with dragon's breath brewed together, the potion cloud can let everything including dropped items or the armors that is currently wearing by a player, become invisible. If the player opened the inventory, the icon of the item that's currently holding by the player, also disappeared, but the other items in the inventory will not be affected. Also the dropped items on the ground become invisible as well. But the player can still interact with them, pick them up, craft things or using furnaces, or use an invisible weapon to attack. Hover the mouse cursor on the items can still see the name of the items. The items will not be invisible forever, the effect should last shorter than the player, to let it become less annoying if it's just an accident. Another thing is the potion effect bubbles. No, I don't want the bubbles become invisible. The bubbles should be still a hint for other players finding each others. Currently, In consistency, there's a issue that even the skin of the player is not naked(for example, neither Steve nor Alex is naked), the player drink or splash an invisible potion can let the whole player invisible, without armors and the holding items. Why the clothes or "fake armors" can be invisible? It's not actually body parts of the player. I think the non-dragon-breath version of the invisible potion can have a weaker effect on armors, for example, let a random part become invisible. And the dragon-breath-version of the invisible potion should have a stronger effect that hide the armors totally, if you splashed it. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 04:06 AM PST I really think they should add binoculars into the game. They could be obtainable through cartographers or be made with gold ingots and glass (new reason for gold). When using the binoculars, far away strictures are outlined (like the spectral arrow outline) for 30 seconds then fades. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 02:24 PM PST It would be nice to have different skins for mobs spawning in different biomes so they didn't look too out of place. Examples: Black/Brown Polar Bears for non-polar regions (just rename the mob to Bear) Arctic Foxes Darker colored pigs for forest biomes Desert Creepers Tropical Squid Different Dolphin Skins in different oceans etc. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 13 Feb 2019 11:10 AM PST It made sense in the past to keep netherwart in the fortresses, but now that blaze powder is needed to fuel brewing stands, it really isn't a problem. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 11:08 AM PST Sloth is a new mob spawning in forests, plains and savannah. It has 25 HP. They are gray-colored and they have a short gray tail. They live in trees. They eat leaves from trees. They sleep almost all the time. They are neutral. They can defend themselves with their claws. You can breed them with seeds. They drop their claws which is used to make the sloths potion. This potion gives you huuuge slowness and a new effect:the slow eating. If you eat something, it takes you 5 seconds to eat. You think it's useless? You can make a throw potion from it and throw it on mobs, or it would be a great use for pvp. [link] [comments] |
Bearded Dragons (Pogonas) - A new tame-able mob. Posted: 13 Feb 2019 09:27 AM PST Bearded dragons. What would they do? Well, you can tame them with leaves (would be lettuce if it was in the game), or you can tame them with a new item called Mealworms. Mealworms are occasionally found when breaking naturally generated sand. Bearded dragons would be able to alert you of nearby Desert Wells and Desert Temples. They would also be able to deal 1 heart of damage to a mob after being attacked. So they wouldn't be useless, and they'd make for pretty neat pets! - Their "Beards" (chins) will get darker the more damage they take. This is a thing they do in real life too, except only when angered. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Feb 2019 03:12 PM PST They would provide Invisibility, Night Vision, and Swiftness for 30 seconds. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Feb 2019 07:46 PM PST I thought of this while making a doorway to a house in creative. Glass doors would be nice, they wouldn't be that expensive, and the idea seems cool to me. [link] [comments] |
Iron Golem AI should be Improved in 1.14 Posted: 13 Feb 2019 02:48 PM PST Title says it all. Villager AI is getting an overhaul. Why not Iron Golems? [link] [comments] |
