Minecraft Bi-Weekly Build Challenge #70: Amusement Park Posted: 28 Apr 2019 05:32 AM PDT LAST WEEK'S THEME:EASTER BUNNY'S HOMEGoldReally nice build. First of all, I really liked the stained glass that was around your build. By what you were saying in your post for the build, it seemed that this was going to be a magical world, and you delivered just by putting the glass there. The purple everywhere just makes the entire build seem more magical. One small comment is how the glass cut off at the top. Personally, I didn't like seeing that as it kinda broke the 'magical' immersion for me, but my recommendation to how to have fixed that would just to have some better shots without it. Again, like some of your other builds, there was a lot to it, especially buildings. I felt this time though they blended in nicely and it felt like a more natural setup for these buildings. Overall an awesome build! SilverAnother magical build. This one however, just completely changes the landscape. I really liked the ground and what you did to it. There was enough blocks to really keep things interesting and I really liked the rivers and the shape of them running through the world. I also liked the candycanes and lollypops which littered the ground. It's a good way to also make the world still seem magical. However, the one thing I didn't like was the basket. From a distance, loved the way it looked. However, close up, it just seemed not grand enough to have an entrance there and felt a bit anticlimatic. Maybe lowering it would have helped? Cool build though! Keep it up! BronzeA very calm build I found, grounded in reality. I really liked how you chose to take screenshots at night. The build I found looked very good illuminated with the lights, better I think than it would have been in the day. However, this will lead me into my only real criticism. Your easter bunny house, which I thought was great to have a tree, didn't feel as bright and illuminated than the other houses. It also seemed small and since it's the Easter bunny, I would have thought you'd have a grander place for him, since technically the challenge is about him. I loved all of your houses though, they were well built and all were a bit different but close enough that it felt like the same village. Great build, loved your style. Honourable mentions IntroductionWooooooo! Weeeeeee! Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaa! This is the sounds the visitors to your world should be making this week since we are building amusement parks! Yes, we'll be filling our world with these attractions, entertaining our guests, but also making sure that they'll look awesome! So let's get to building some cool rides New Textures Since we have a semi-official release of the new textures, they are now allowed (along with the old ones). However, if you use the new textures, please specify. I wouldn't want to think you're using a texture pack and disqualify you. I'm not as used to the textures, so I may not recognize them right away. Inspiration ChallengeAmusement park Make an amusement park! It must have an entrance and at least 3 rides/structures of your choosing in it. Rules
