Can we please enchant axes with Looting? Posted: 18 May 2019 03:36 AM PDT Ever since the combat update, i've loved to use my axe as a main weapon especially combined with smite V to easily 1 shot skeletons/zombies. I'd love to use it for wither skeletons but unfortunately you cant enchant an axe with looting 3 in survival (or any looting for that matter) can we possibly have that added to the axe? since we can put smite on the axe i can't see why not.. Spiders are neutral in light, so their eyes should only glow red when they're hostile. Posted: 18 May 2019 07:59 AM PDT Spiders always have glowing red eyes. Buts spiders aren't always hostile, as they are neutral to the player when in a light level of 12 or higher. In other words, if they're in a bright place when they see you, they won't be aggressive unless you hit them first, or unless they were already chasing you. So the suggestion is that when they're neutral like this, instead of having glowing red eyes, their eyes will be a non-glowing, more natural color, like black or dull grey or something. Their eyes will turn back to glowing red when they enter darkness or if you anger them. This will allow a player to tell if it's safe to be around the spider, and also be a nice bit of visual flair. Posted: 18 May 2019 02:09 AM PDT Since you can't get luck from survival right now, and since desert well generated very rarely(1/1000), it would give player a feeling of satisfaction when they found a well because it has functions, rather than...just a well. Smelt stone slabs/stairs into smooth stone variants Posted: 18 May 2019 10:43 AM PDT
Slime blocks should not damage you when you run into them using elytra. Posted: 18 May 2019 12:33 PM PDT Slime blocks remove all fall damage, and if you fall ON TOP of them using elytra, they remove fall damage and bounce you back up. On the other hand, when you run into a wall made of slime blocks, you still take full damage. I feel that when you elytra into a wall made of slime, it should bounce you back instead of doing damage, similar to what happens when you hit a slime block from the top. Posted: 18 May 2019 06:36 AM PDT The lectern should be intractable with the hopper and dispenser. A book could be dispensed, by a dispenser, into the lectern. A book could be removed from the lectern, by a hopper beneath. [link] [comments]
Allow hanging lanterns to be lowered/raised Posted: 18 May 2019 11:27 AM PDT Now hear me out before you say it's already been suggested; I've seen posts suggesting lanterns should be able to hang from iron bars, and I've seen posts (x) (x) suggest chains be their own individual block. Posted: 18 May 2019 12:46 PM PDT There are many situations where a player may need or want a certain weather event to occur, and they'll have to wait for the weather event to happen naturally. But what if there was a way to temporarily control your world's weather? I think you should be able to put plain arrows into a crafting table and enchant them one at a time for special weather arrows. These would not be used for combat, but instead would be used to manipulate the skies. Clear Skies Arrow - Cancels the weather if there currently is any. Rainy Day Arrow - Will trigger weather when shot into the sky. Thunder Arrow - When shot into the sky, a thunderstorm will start. If shot at a mob or player instead of the sky, lighting will strike that entity. Blizzard Arrow - When fired into the sky, it will cause a very brief, 1 minute snowfall in ANY biome. The iron chest is the size of a normal chest. The only difference is that this chest can't be broken easy. The Iron Chest can't be broken by TNT or Creeper keeping your stuff safe. This block can be broken by hand, but can only be picked up with an Iron or Diamond Pickaxe. The only other thing that could break this block is a Charged Creeper. We already have a wood Door and an Iron Door, so why not have an iron version of the chest. I don't think there should be a whole lot of different chests so I wouldn't want all those Gold Chests, Diamond Chests, and Emerald Chests like in the mods. Stonecutter ambient saw blade sounds Posted: 18 May 2019 10:50 AM PDT I think the Stonecutter's spinning saw blade should make an ambient sound, since it's constantly spinning. It would have a pretty small range/volume so it wouldn't be annoying. [link] [comments]
Wing flap / flying sounds for Bats & Chickens Posted: 18 May 2019 06:46 AM PDT Bats should have flapping sounds for when they're flying around. And chickens should have wing flapping sounds when they're descending or when they're damaged. Parrots already have flapping sounds, so why not? Villagers should farm pumpkins and melons Posted: 18 May 2019 12:43 PM PDT Pumpkins and melons should also function like other crops for villagers (they can be given to other villagers to make them willing to breed, etc.) [link] [comments]
Make campfire's not toss items Posted: 18 May 2019 12:31 PM PDT Currently, when a campfire has finished cooking an item, it spits it out in a random direction. Now, that wouldn't be so bad if items didn't despawn after 5 minutes. The campfirs also tosses items 2 blocks upwards, which means if you want to attach a hopper to collect items from campfires, you need to dig a 2-block deep hole and put the campfire in it. My suggestion is to make campfires 'store' the food they cook on them, just like how they store raw food. The player can take cooked food from the campfires by clicking on it with empty hands. Posted: 18 May 2019 05:20 AM PDT Message board is an item that you can put on the wall and display messages on. It looks like a square shaped wooden board with a piece of paper in the middle. When you put another one next to it, they connect and turn bigger, (like with double chests). You can connect them infinitely up, down, left and right. You can write stuff on it by right-clicking it. It also has the option to finish it and make it un-editable. It's not like a book though. There's only 1 (or 2) pages. edit: Crafting: Book and quill surrounded with wooden planks. Recipe gives 3 message boards. [link] [comments]
Day/Night time cycle modification. Posted: 18 May 2019 04:36 AM PDT For a while now we have had the option to do: /gamerule doDaylightCycle true|false However we have always been limited to the 20 minute cycle. This coupled with a game rule that breaks certain mechanics in the game when set to false is far too limiting and we should have gotten more options over this system by now. Let's say you want a world where sun raises and sun sets last a bit longer (5 minutes each instead of 1 1/2 The biggest benefit would be the power to adjust cycles without having to break systems using workaround methods like command blocks with a redstone timer to mimic time-tick updates (this is used with /gamerule doDaylightCycle false). I could not find a suggestion like this in the search box so I am posting this here. [link] [comments]
The ability to add songs to resource packs Posted: 18 May 2019 07:34 AM PDT
Posted: 18 May 2019 01:09 PM PDT Musical Wrench: A wrench tool that can change a bunch about a noteblock. It can change dynamics, articulation, and note value. You right click on a noteblock with the musical wrench to bring up a menu.
For people who don't know what dynamics (in music) are: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamics_(music)) Since dynamics are relative, I think that the volume that the current noteblock has should be mezzo-forte. In the menu, there would be a section with dynamics. It will be set to mezzo-forte by default, and then you can click on one of the other dynamics (I think max should be ff and min should be pp) and it will play the note at that volume for you to hear, similar to how when you right click on a noteblock normally to change the pitch, it plays the note once so you can hear it. 2) Articulation For people who don't know what articulation (in music) is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Articulation_(music)) I think that the articulations that should be in this are none, staccato, fermata, and sforzando/accent. Tell me if there are others that should be an option. So in the menu, it will be set on "none" by default, and you can pick one of the others. The reason I didn't include legato despite it being one of the most common articulations, is that MC wouldn't be able to do that because it doesn't know what note will be played next or when it will. That probably doesn't make sense, but legato just wouldn't work. 3) Note value For people who don't know what note value is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Note_value Since you can't set a tempo in your Minecraft noteblock songs, I think that note value should be based off of ticks instead. There would be a little bar that you can click and drag to change how many ticks the noteblock holds for. There would also be the number off to the side that you can type a number in instead. Since 1 second = 20 ticks, I think that the max note value should be 100 ticks which would be 5 seconds. Maybe even 200. I think that with instruments like snare drum (sand), clicks and sticks (glass), and bass drum (stone) the note value section of the menu should be darkened and unable to be clicked. It does not make sense for percussion sounds to be held. https://imgur.com/a/As8VU1F Here is what I think the musical wrench would look like, and I am going to make a mockup of the menu soon. My ideas for other noteblock sounds:

Posted: 18 May 2019 12:45 PM PDT Since the Illusioner went unused, how about a similar mob, but with a different look? The Leprechaun is a mob designed to annoy the players by being very noisy and hard to hit.

A more difficult way to get hearts of the sea Posted: 18 May 2019 08:18 AM PDT As of now, the only way to get hearts of the sea is by finding treasure chests that contain the item. While I do love a good treasure hunt every now in then, I feel conduits are too powerful to just put hearts of the sea in random treasure chests. There should be more of a challenge in obtaining hearts of the sea. My solution: Elder Guardians. As of now, Elder Guardians are pretty useless. Sure, they drop sponges, but those can already be found within the ocean monument. Other than that, the drops of guardians and elder guardians are exactly the same. I think this is kind of a shame, as elder guardians are intended to be mini-bosses, similar to the evoker. However, if elder guardians were able to drop hearts of the sea, that would make them more of an important mob in the game. I also think that to coincide with this, only one elder guardian should be within an ocean monument. However, its health is increased and it gives off mining fatigue more frequently. This way, getting hearts of the sea is much more difficult, and provides an actual challenge for the player. [link] [comments]
Minecraft should have short, animated skits before every major update. Posted: 18 May 2019 11:31 AM PDT I might get a little flack for mentioning this game, but Fortnite has the right idea when it comes to their Season updates and animated shorts before the beginning of every season. It shows how the new content is introduced so it's not so jarring of a change. I think it would be interesting to see how these new features are added naturally into any given Minecraft world. For instance, the Vindicator can be a short story of how a villager was coaxed by a witch into betraying its own village, this leading to his king exile. Said villager eventually gives rise to a bandit faction, creating the bandits we have now. Just a thought. What do you guys think? [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 May 2019 11:12 AM PDT Wouldn't it be cool if Minecraft trees fell over when you cut them down at the base? And maybe they would drop leaves every once in a while that you could collect, and craft into a leaf block. Just thought it would be really cool. [link] [comments] |
