Posted: 20 May 2019 04:54 AM PDT In snowy villages, baby villagers sometimes start a snowball fight! They would run around, throwing snowballs at each other while (attempting to) dodging other's snowballs. Starting a GameIf you have high village popularity, you can play with the villagers too! To start, throw a snowball at a baby villager. When a snowball fight starts, all nearby baby villagers would join Sudden stopUsing cheaty items like shields would instantly stop the game, the children would leave you, with some angry particles around them, although that wouldn't actually affect your village popularity. The game would also stop when a raid starts, nighttime comes or when rain falls. When you suddenly start punching or when a baby villager hurts himself, the game would also stop. Extras

Posted: 20 May 2019 10:27 AM PDT When you first sleep in a bed or if you otherwise don't have a bed spawn already, your spawn point will be set to the bed just as it does now. However, when you sleep in another bed, your spawn point will not be updated. Instead, there will be a new button above the "leave bed" button saying "set spawn" or something like that, and clicking on that will set your spawn point to that new bed. This will let you sleep through the night without having to erase your spawn point at home, which is useful, especially since phantoms are a thing now. Also vote on feedback.minecraft so the devs can consider it: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360011235031-Reset-spawn-point-button-on-bed?page=1#community_comment_360005719591 [link] [comments] |
When cats are attacked or scared their tails will puff up. Posted: 20 May 2019 11:24 AM PDT I think it would be a neat little detail that would add some more expressiveness to cats. Their tails would become larger when they are attacked by a player or mob, or possibly if there is a nearby dog. [link] [comments] |
Frog Mob: We NEED more to do in Swamps! Posted: 20 May 2019 11:00 AM PDT Basic Mob. I just wanna see frogs that jump off of lilypads when characters come by. Drops frog legs you can eat. Have tadpoles that hatch from turtle like eggs. It would be a cool animal to implement into the game (And maybe an easier way to get slime?). They could come in different varieties- like cats -for different biomes, and as an added bonus why not be able to carry them around on your heads and keep them as pets? You could add poisonous frog types that can have different kinds of effects on the player, adding a hostile side to some species. The versatility of what you could do with Frogs is immense, and would love to see them in the game. I created this Frog model years ago, but it may serve well as a reference if you choose to add this to the game. Frog Reference: Edit: I'm glad this idea is FINALLY getting some recognition! Your ideas are only making me more excited! If only we could make it happen! [link] [comments] |
[Discussion] 1.14.?? - The consistency update Posted: 20 May 2019 05:49 AM PDT Throughout the years, Minecraft has evolved, with a lot of amazing content being added, trying to please everyone (mostly succeeding). However, with all those updates, many older features were left behind, collecting pixelated dust. Now, with every update we have people asking for consistency, adding to the sub's list of "Make X also do Y", "Revamp Z with the new style" type of suggestions. Therefore, Mojang should take some time to focus more on the older features and less on adding new ones. I think now is the perfect time for this since the devs already showed their intent on doing it, with a revamp of the textures and villages. So, let's all work together and create a list of everything that is out-of-date, big or small, so that it can be addressed. I'll be adding items (categories included) to this list as people mention them. If you disagree with anything on the list, please speak your mind. Mobs/Entities

Posted: 20 May 2019 06:55 AM PDT They should add Void Fog back into the game, but make it so it only appears in low light levels. This way it doesn't mess with any player's builds. I would really like to see it return at some point. [link] [comments] |
Make villagers age in stages, similar to how the horses do. Posted: 20 May 2019 03:36 PM PDT Since a lot of us interact with villagers a great deal, I think it would be really cool to slowly grow up, rather than just simply "popping" up as an adult. It would make the villager communities look quite a bit different seeing villagers at multiple sizes walking around. Once fully matured, their trading option is available. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 May 2019 07:22 AM PDT I feel like mobile ios versions would be enhanced greatly by the inclusion of 3D touch capabilities for the dpad. It could help give the game the illusion of tactile feedback when pressing buttons and would definitely get me to play on my phone more often. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 May 2019 03:11 AM PDT Note: One of the ideas are from Mumbo Jumbo Number 1: The Rotator It can rotate blocks such as active dispensers, blocks with rails on top of them (Which can work like those railways that can change a train's direction) and etc. You can craft it with one redstone, three iron ingots, 3 stone slabs and two iron ingots (Which act like screws) Number 2: The Camera It can be used to remember the perfect times in your Minecraft server, if you want a picture you require a paper and some gunpowder. Once the process is complete an item will pop out and it's your picture. You can display it on your item frame for decorating your house I might make more Redstone ideas, like a Part 2. If you don't enjoy them that's alright, I'll think of more. [link] [comments] |
Village Statistics Book (Stat tracker for population, professions, etc.) Posted: 20 May 2019 10:28 AM PDT The Village Statistics book is an item that tracks all the important information about your Village, like how many villagers are alive, which professions those villagers are, how many houses etc. and it updates automatically. Every village library generates with a copy of the book on a Lectern, but it can also be crafted by combining 1 Book and Quill and 1 Emerald. When you first craft it, it won't open unless you are inside a village. The moment you open it, it decides which Village's stats its going to track, and it never changes even if you leave the village. There's also a blank space in the book where you can write your Village's name, to tell the books apart, if you have multiple villages. [link] [comments] |
Mycelium Farmland- a better way to grow crops Posted: 19 May 2019 04:40 PM PDT Short concept- When you hoe mycelium it turns into "Mycelium Farmland" which grows crops better and has a new texture. Longer concept- Currently you can't hoe mycelium and you have to turn it into dirt in order to plant crops. Not only is this annoying but in real life crops grow better in mycelium. They have a symbiotic relationship that allows the plant to communicate through the mycelium. I think that this should be added as a new block call "Mycelium Farmland." This would basically make crops grow faster and have a little bit of whitish-purple used in the top texture. [link] [comments] |
Baby villagers grow up into adult Illagers after the raid manages to kill the adults Posted: 20 May 2019 03:58 PM PDT I think this would be a small little change that's almost like the Illagers "adopting" the surviving children. They'd grow up into Pillagers or Vindicators, but not Evokers for the sake of balance. This would be triggered if the Illagers win the raid. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 20 May 2019 11:38 AM PDT For Mojang, add the minecart boost with fireworks and an intuitive pyrotechnic workbench like the loom in the game [link] [comments] |
Fancy Wall Torch holder / Sconce thing Posted: 20 May 2019 06:59 AM PDT 2 iron nuggets + torch= 'Fancy' looking wall sconce / torch holder. Maybe there could also be an even fancier version, with gold mixed in. [link] [comments] |
Give the right stick a function in the inventory for console players Posted: 20 May 2019 07:06 AM PDT The inventory controls on console are very clunky and slow, especially for crafting. I think this is mainly because players are required to use a combination of the left stick and the D-pad, making it one handed. It dawned on me today that the right stick has no funtion while the inventory is open, I have a couple of ideas for its use
I really think this could make inventory management and crafting on a large scale a much smoother operation [link] [comments] |

Midas enchantment/potion effect/curse/whatever Posted: 20 May 2019 08:34 AM PDT I got the idea from this video, and after some search I saw it was suggested already, but my view is different. My main idea is to keep its uses but make it more of a curse : once you have it, the only way to remove it would be death (or maybe a very long cooldown). Your whole inventory will turn into gold stuff (eg if you had a leather helmet, you'll have a gold one), which is great at the beginning of a game, but prevents you from using any non-gold items (eg you won't be able to upgrade to diamond, use ender pearls, bow, food...) This could be done for survival but I think it's more suitable as a creative item/command for map makers or pvp servers [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 May 2019 10:31 PM PDT What about adding things like small random mossystone huts to the jungle. Similar looking to the ruins in the ocean. But made of stone, covered in vines, partly destroyed, and perhaps a skeleton skull...rarely. And put them next to each other almost like a village, but not just like a village. Make them small so its not so easily spotted by players. And add some traps here and there. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 May 2019 09:52 PM PDT Salamanders would be a slightly rare mob that is found in the Jungle. It would be able to fit through half block gaps and run away from you very fast. Upon damaging it, you will be poisoned for around 3 seconds, and upon killing it you will get around 2 xp points and nothing else. Right clicking it with an arrow will give you an arrow of poison that lasts a mild 5 seconds. This feature is based on how people used to put poison on darts by rubbing the poison off a poisonus animal (salamanders, frogs, ect.) and onto the dart. Note: Wearing an Elytra around it will cause it to occasionally come and bite you, doing the same damage as a snowball (0). However, the Elytra will get damaged a bit. This feature is influenced by a Salamander's diet of bugs. [link] [comments] |
Change the sides of the bell back to wood instead of stone Posted: 19 May 2019 06:50 PM PDT I think it looked alot better and made more sense. Incase you didnt know the original texture for the bell had sides made of oak wood, not stone. This is a very astetic change but I think it makes a big difference. [link] [comments] |
