Rotten flesh can be put into composters Posted: 08 Jun 2019 03:31 AM PDT I mean, rotten flesh has already half become compost, so why not let us put it into the composter? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 06:22 AM PDT It would be a new plant from which player would be able to create the potion of luck. The player would be able to get them from the wandering traders. Of course there would be an option to create a potion of bad luck by adding the fermented spider eye. [link] [comments] |
Make levers able to be placed on fence posts Posted: 08 Jun 2019 08:38 AM PDT The title says all. The reason why I wanted this is that I thought if you could place levers on fence posts they would look like those real-life microphone stands (just for decoration) but also if you could do it, you can make levers more fancy-looking for it to be more comfortable for using. I think both redstone-makers and builders can agree with this simple tweak. [link] [comments] |
Fishing in the lava of the Nether pulls up items and occasionally a magma slime. Posted: 08 Jun 2019 07:16 AM PDT You should be able to pull up things like bones and pieces of worn out armor. If you fished around a fortress you should find stone swords (maybe enchanted) and occasionally blaze rods. No, I don't think you should be able to fish for wither skeleton skulls. Sometimes though, you won't pull up an item. There's a chance you pull out a magma slime right to you from the lava. [link] [comments] |
A key combination to re-download the current chunk Posted: 08 Jun 2019 01:15 PM PDT A key combination (F3+something) to re-download the current chunk from the server so errors like invisible boat, invisible horse and invisible blocks can be easily and quickly solved. [link] [comments] |
Allow us to make rotten flesh into leather Posted: 08 Jun 2019 12:56 PM PDT So,today i woke up and realised how pointless rotten flesh is. Every mob has useful drops except the zombie. Allow us to combine 4 rotten flesh into rotten rags, then put it in a smoker for some leather. This wouldn't completely devalue leather from cows but it would still give zombies a use. Posted: 08 Jun 2019 01:41 AM PDT It would be brewed using some wool. Then The Phantom Membrane. If you leave it without the membrane, it becomes a potion of tiredness. By drinking the potion of Rest, it would grant you sleep, to avoid phantoms spawning the next night. They would spawn on the one after that. By drinking the potion of tiredness, it makes it so that you are tired, similar to not sleeping for 3 days And allowing phantoms to spawn. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 07:10 AM PDT Let's face it, caves are empty and bland. There's nothing really happening, a few mobs, lava, dungeons, I think it's safe to say that minecraft needs a cave update. You know, something to spice it up a bit more? So I propose a mob that can only be found in caves: The Buskler. Appearance: It looks more like a hornet than anything else. It's texture would be like it too, with stripes and a stinger. Basically a much bigger bee. It would be 1 block high, 1 block wide, and 2 blocks long. Behavior: Busklers would spawn in caves with packs, with 2 ways to attack you. #1: It will fly at you and "sting" you. The "sting" would take 1 and a half hearts of damage. #2: It could shoot pellets at you, black ones, if you will. If you get hit by one, you would get a small wither effect, along with 2 hearts of damage. They would fly around, happily in the cave with their wings, but can land on their feet and walk normally. (Unlike Phantoms, which are always flying.) Health: A normal Buskler would have 20 hearts of health. (40 hp.) However, there is a stronger type of Buskler that has 30 hearts of health. (60 hp.) Stronger Busklers could even regen health a bit if they are close to dying, this only happens once though. Buskler Claws: Upon death, a Buskler would drop 0-2 Buskler Claws, along with 1-2 bone meal. With 2 Buskler claws, you can craft 1 Sharpened Claw. If you have 2 Sharpened Claws, you can craft it like a sword and get a Buskler Dagger. The Buskler Dagger would not be stronger than a diamond sword, but would be as strong as an iron one. However, there is a small chance that upon dealing damage to let's say... a zombie. (just an example, this could happen to anything you hit.) the zombie would get a small wither effect. The odds are about 30% - 40%. Buskler Den: In your world, you can find a structure known as the Buskler Den. Buskler dens are like caves but an opening can be found at the side of a tall mountain. You'll notice the random wood planks and fences (the type depends on which biome.) and the extra cob webs. A Buskler Den is the only other place where Busklers can spawn. It's also the only place Stronger Busklers can spawn, you can't find them in a normal cave. There is also new blocks in it called Buskler Eggs. Buskler Eggs will over time, spawn 2-3 Busklers, destroying the block in the process. If you try to mine it, you won't be able to keep the block. When it's destroyed, it's destroyed. Other Things: Busklers are hostile to players, Phantoms, all undead mobs, all passive mobs, and endermen. If you some manage to bring a Buskler to the end, over time, it will turn into a Phantom. ("you have become the very thing you sore to destroy" memes incoming.) Busklers can be found in underground structures as well, suck as Mineshafts or Strongholds. And that is my suggestion on a new mob for the caves. If there is anything I missed, please let me know. [link] [comments] |
What If Sleeping Actually Made Time Pass? Posted: 08 Jun 2019 02:44 PM PDT What if when you slept, it made your crops grow faster, as if you had just stayed awake during the night and they had kept growing? It's not like time should just freeze, or night should only last 1 second if you sleep. I'm not sure how well this idea would work, though. What do you all think? [link] [comments] |
Chickens eat out of the composter, speeding up their egg laying process Posted: 07 Jun 2019 10:44 PM PDT Chickens eat out of the compost in real life, so why not? This would make chickens more fun and realistic, and composters more useful. [link] [comments] |
[DESERT/ MESA BIOME EXCLUSIVE] Sand should damage you in the noon/afternoon like magma does Posted: 08 Jun 2019 12:10 PM PDT Cause the sand is very hot on your feet, and we all know with hot anything, our skin burns. Using armour will stop the damage. Takes about half a heart of damage every minute, not as quick as magma though. Desert mobs like husks are immune to this. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 07:28 AM PDT The eagle should be a relatively uncommon flying mob that would spawn at an altitude of 100 or less. They would have 25 health points and would only attack you if you attack them. You can take them with raw fish and they would be able to follow you and attack mobs for you. Adding on, they could also fish for you by swooping into the water and getting fish. They are able to do 5 damage with their talons and can also pick up small mobs and drop them from the air. Posted: 08 Jun 2019 09:43 AM PDT Basic Concept: Villages in the Swamp & Jungle Biomes. But the twist, is they're elevated off the ground in different ways. For the Jungle Village, I was thinking they would have house half way up the 2x2 jungle trees. Along with this, they would have a platform around their house, that varies in size depending on the house generated, with a single 2x2 tree in the centre of the village, having a large enough platform to connect to the other house platforms. The house platforms will be made of jungle leaves, whilst the central platform, will be jungle planks, but will have jungle wood resembling branches, coming from the tree. The secondary idea, is that the Jungle Village is made more unique for being immune to raids, unless stairs are built up to them by the player. Also a less conventional idea: Witch Coven. Have a cluster of 2 - 4 Witches huts, with said huts being slightly bigger. The centre of said gathering, would be a large oak tree with a circle of water around it and some brewing stands and redstone dust littered around. These Witch Covens, should spawn in Dark Forest biomes. With the Swamp Village, standard village, but all the houses are on stilts and are slightly larger. They should also be made from Dark Oak, implying there was once a collected village of the Witches & Swamp Villagers, before some Villagers were turned into Witches. These should have the odd fence post with a Jack o Lantern on top of it. What do you think though? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 11:01 AM PDT Its really hard to traverse through the dangerous end cities with huge gaps and everything trying to kill you, so I present the Elder Phantom! Elder Phantoms are large, old phantoms that have given up combat to help travelers. Elder Phantoms spawn in the large gaps in the end, flying inbetween the 2 chunks of land, pausing when they reach their destination before turning around, Elder Phantoms can be stood on to carry players and mobs. Elder Phantoms take up a 5x5 block space and move at a medium speed. Let me know what you think of this new way to traverse the end. [link] [comments] |
Maps can be placed in Book and Quils Posted: 08 Jun 2019 03:39 PM PDT Simple enough, maps should be able to be placed within books. This would allow for map creators to create things like front covers, illustrations and other things like that, as well as for showing land. Maybe you could do this in the cartography table, with a gui the page of the book instead of the map. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 04:10 AM PDT Tired of annoying Rabbits eating all of your carrot crops? I have a new suggestion, the Scarecrow! Natural Generation: Scarecrows would naturally generate on Villager Farms. Crafting Recipe: (Note: if a dyed Leather Tunic is put into the Scarecrow crafting recipe, the crafted Scarecrow's shirt will become dyed the corresponding colour as the Leather Tunic was coloured in that Scarecrow's own crafting recipe, even in the inventory or if placed) Trading: You can trade with a expert-level Villager (Farmer Profession) to buy a Scarecrow for 3 Emeralds. Uses: Placed Scarecrows will scare away Rabbits 10 blocks away from them. The Rabbits will run away from them. Block or Entity: Scarecrows are entities when placed like Armour Stands. But Scarecrows cannot be pushed or moved. They will also fall if a block is broken beneath them. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 03:24 PM PDT I don't know if you know this, but if you summon in a skeleton with a sword with commands, it will use the sword to attack you. I think a pillager should do the same thing, because as far as I know it doesn't work. [link] [comments] |
Adding Buffs/Debuffs to Food Items Posted: 08 Jun 2019 02:54 PM PDT A thought I had while playing minecraft server alone: could it be possible to use potions on food items, like poison, but the effects didn't show? When you give a friend a potion, they can see what effects they will get and for how long. Except if you add the potion to a food item, maybe it won't show so you can poison somebody like that. I would love that idea to be implemented! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 02:39 PM PDT A pair of goggles made from 2 Phantom Membrane and 1 Eye of Ender, though it is more like a mask. Wearing it allows the player to see rifts in space. These rifts are like large gashes in thin air, and looks the same no matter which direction you look at it. They are outlined with blue light, and red filling indicates the Nether and black filling indicates the End. The rifts indicate the positions of Nether Fortresses and Strongholds. However, these are only seen on the Overworld. Placing a Nether Portal near a red rift causes the rift to disappear permanently. Entering that Nether Portal sends the player onto the front steps of a Nether Fortress. Black rifts will disappear if the player enters an End Portal that the rift is connected to. Note: The goggles don't tell you the direction of these rift's locations, so you still need to use your gut or Eyes of Ender. [link] [comments] |
Fisherman should trade tridents Posted: 08 Jun 2019 02:12 PM PDT It would make sense if they kept some of the more rare treasures they find along the way. It would have to be at the highest level of trading for them to sell it too you though, maybe it could also come with enchantments but very rarely [link] [comments] |
Minecraft Needs a Sky Update (X-post from r/Minecraft) Posted: 07 Jun 2019 10:47 PM PDT For all the talk of an update to improve the nether, or underground, no area needs more improvement than the sky. I mean, above the clouds, there is nothing up there, except for those weird savanna mountains that nobody's sure why they're there. Point is, literally half of the entire overworld is just... empty? What's up with that? Some things I'd like to see: Multiple cloud layers: Maybe the bottommost layer could consist of Storm clouds, that appear during rain and thunderstorms. It would also be cool if the rain stopped when you went above them. And maybe the top layer could consist of smaller, wispier cirrus clouds. Flynecarts:You take some elytra, you take some Minecarts, put em together and boom! Flynecarts! They're nowhere near as fast as elytra, but they can go up and down all you want, making them great for exploring the sky. Floating Islands: Floating islands would be cool. And not just the naturally occurring weird floating islands that happen when the terrain generation gets drunk. I mean fully fledged new areas, with new blocks, resources, and mobs. Think the Aether, but the Islands are smaller, more spread out, and in the overworld. Eagles: Eagles. An Increase Build Height Maybe?: please? :3 Edit: More on the floating islands: The floating islands would be small, no more than a dozen blocks or so across. They would consist of all new blocks, such as golden-colored trees with pink leaves, and pink grass (something of a cotton candy theme). They would not be randomly generated, but instead, much like structures, they would be spawned from a set of templates. Some Islands could have beautiful little zen gardens on them. Others may have a little house with a Skylager (sky villager) living inside. Another might have a set of brick ruins that expand inside the island and out the sides. One could have a nest full of phantom eggs, I don't know. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 04:23 AM PDT Bees could be like tiny villages with queens and 1 block big swarms which you can put in buckets like fish and put them into a bee hive (6 wood slabs 1 plank and be able to harvest honey like berries also in buckets and if you wear armour bees cannot sting you (poison I for 2 seconds) Also bees in a area with flowers would duplicate the flowers themselves. Bees would also naturally spawn 1 block underground or on a tree in a hive block. Bees would also come out individually and if you break of even touch a hive at least 10 bees would attack you.Male bees and queen bees would come out every 10 minecraft days and create new hives. If different bears come into the game they will attack the hives and the bees will have a 1 in 3 chance to sting the bear. Stings will appear as tiny arrows on the attacked mob's body. Also a villager called the beekeeper would harvest honey and sell bee loot. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 08 Jun 2019 01:55 PM PDT How about a new rail that has a direction (indicated with an arrow) which depends on how you place it down and what it does is it doesn't allow the minecart to move in the opposite way. This would also help when dealing with powered rails since you could place a direction rail next to it to "show" it which way should it travel to. [link] [comments] |
