Wearing a Ender Dragon head should prevent aggravation from Endermen you meet eyes with. Posted: 18 Jun 2019 06:55 AM PDT When I found my first Ender Dragon head and realised you could wear it I thought "of course! it doesn't obscure my vision like the pumpkins and it will obscure my face from the endermen! what a rewarding gameplay mechanic! this will make end exploration easier from here on out!" ... now i feel cheated, finding the ender dragon head does not in fact stop the endermen attacking when looked at. this gameplay change would add value and reason in finding an ender dragon head. it is still very cool as it is, but wearing a pumpkin on your head in the end should be a temporary thing with a better solution, such as an enderdragon or other mob head. thanks for reading! All animal mobs should sleep at night (besides a few exceptions of course) Posted: 18 Jun 2019 01:46 PM PDT Animals such as sheep, pigs, cows, and chickens should all sleep at night. They will find an area of shade in hot biomes (such as mesas) , or areas of light in cold biomes (like taigas), and just stop dead in its tracks and sleep in basic temperature biomes (such as plains). The only exceptions to this are; wild wolves: when night first falls, the wolves will go out and hunt sheep and rabbits with at least one other wolf. When midnight falls they will go to sleep, except for days of a full moon, when thy will hunt all night. Foxes are nocturnal. Bats are also nocturnal. Polar bears will sleep all day on days of a new moon, but other days, it functions like any other animal. Horses will get angry [link] [comments] |
Desert foxes - the new fox variant Posted: 18 Jun 2019 09:10 AM PDT The desert fox would be a new skin for the foxes that spawn, you guessed it, in the desert. They would hunt desert rabbits and have a similar behaviour as the other types of foxes. This would basically just be a diferent skin to add more variety to foxes and bring more life to deserts. Add the 16 default minecraft colours, to text colour options in game. (Such as team colours) Posted: 18 Jun 2019 03:06 PM PDT At current, when setting team colours or the colour of text in titles and similar we have the following options.
I'd like to imagine the default 16 colours of minecraft should be able to be used in text (Such as creating team colours or similar). (Red/Orange/Yellow/Lime/Green/Cyan/Light Blue/Blue/Purple/Magenta/Pink/Brown/Black/Gray/Light Gray/White) At current we only have - and they don't MATCH the actual colours in game, they're quite far off. (When the colour update came about text didn't appear to change with it:
Of those colours there are a few issues. Mainly the background colours for MOST of the colour text is too dark to help highlight the text colour (Black & Gray tend to just look like blobs). That and brown doesn't exist :/ A few hours set to re-work the default colours of text it minecraft would be GREATLY appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jun 2019 01:36 AM PDT You know how hot air can elevate things like glders or hot aire balloons (hence the name), so wouldn't it be a nice little mechanic for campfires to propell elytras when flown over? Even just a little altitude boost would help, one could set up checkpoints with campfires along the route one usually takes so as to save on fireworks, but still use them when needed to fly to some other destination We can see an example of such mechanic in Assassin's Creed 2 mission where we have to fly over a city on Leo's glider, getting boosts from city fires [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jun 2019 02:10 AM PDT How about adding Sakura trees? They have pink leaves, a black log and the wood is kinda colored as if it was pink birch. They drop cherries occasionally just like oak trees do with apples. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jun 2019 01:11 AM PDT Idk if that idea will be successful, but eh, I'll try. 1 obsidian can be smelted into 1 obsidian glass. It can be stained and is resistant to explosions and can't be picked up by Endermen. [link] [comments] |
Breaking glass without silk touch should drop shards. Posted: 18 Jun 2019 04:13 AM PDT When breaking glass of any colour without a silk touch pickaxe, at least two to four shards of glass should come out. Four of them will allow you to craft the respective glass it came out of, whether coloured or not. It's similar to how Glowstone breaks, and with a Fortune pickaxe, the drops can be increased up to a max of four pieces. This is to make glass crafting a bit less of a pain when you are very far off from the desert. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jun 2019 01:49 PM PDT ObtainingAn Ooze bucket would be crafted with 4 slime and 1 water bucket in this shape. (doesn't leave behind the bucket, as the end result is also a bucket). You can also pick up Ooze with a bucket to get an ooze bucket (duh). BehaviourIts flowing physics would work like lava (so no infinite ooze generators) except slower. If you land on it forcefully, it'll bounce you up, but if you enter gently, you are just going to be slowed down. To be more specific, if you enter with less than a threshold force, it will behave like a weaker cobweb, slowing you down as you move through it and also exerting a small 'flow' force of its own. UsesThis would be useful for Nether freefall if it doesn't evaporate in the nether (if it does, then it would leave behind 4 slimeballs as items upon evaporation) and traveling down in/bouncing off of "ooze blades", downward-flowing ooze without a source block. If you smelt it, you'll get your 4 slimeballs back (leaves behind the bucket). [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jun 2019 08:19 AM PDT So, I was thinking about the new trader and I thought some ideas about it, because most players just don't like the new mob and instead killing the trader to get the Llama + leads. So, here's my idea to come up with:
*It's my random thoughts, so unless Mojang changed how to start a raid to get more incentives on players, this won't happen. If you can come up with more or better ideas, feel free to comment on it ;) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jun 2019 11:38 AM PDT Villages should spawn in locations where it would make sense to start a settlement. Examples: mouth of a river, river bend, or any other interesting geographical feature like a mountain or large lake. [link] [comments] |
Trapdoors should auto-orientate towards the block you place it on Posted: 18 Jun 2019 03:29 PM PDT I know that trap doors do not need to be placed on any block in order to exist; however, I am constantly aggravated by how, whenever I am building something with trap doors and I intend them to face a certain way (IE towards a specific direction), they, despite how I place them, are automatically rotated towards the direction I am facing, and not towards the direction of the block I placed them on. I know this is a small change, and most people would not notice this; however, I feel that, if I am facing towards a wall, and there is a block popping out of that wall, and I want to cover the side of that block with a trap door, I should only have to place that trap door on the side of the block I want to cover in order for it to close/open towards that block. This is how trap doors used to work back when they required a block to be placed on. When they no longer needed a block to be placed on, this feature was lost. I feel it would be very helpful for this feature to be re-implemented. This way, when people are using trapdoors, for things like making flower beds for a 3 story house, they can cover up the grass blocks without having to face the side of that grass block perfectly. The fact I cannot do this always results in me placing the trap door, closing it, realizing it is facing the wrong way, breaking the trap door, physically moving towards the direction of the grass block, and placing the trap door yet again. This is what I am referring to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVusl1F49hI&feature=youtu.be [link] [comments] |

Pillagers should have a chance to spawn with Pillager banner shields. Posted: 18 Jun 2019 08:11 AM PDT I mean, you can make shields with custom banner designs, right? So why not let pillagers sometimes spawn with Pillager banner shields? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jun 2019 11:07 AM PDT I thought the animals in Minecraft would drink water, just like the real life animals. This gives the Minecraft animals similar AI to real life animals. Sometimes, an animal will move to the nearest body of water, and then drink the water (when drinking it will have a similar animation to a Sheep eating grass). But the water block it drank won't be gone. You can also click on the animal with a Water/Milk Bucket to make the animal drink from the bucket. If the Water/Milk Bucket has been drank from an animal 4 times the bucket will become empty. Villagers and Wandering Traders will also drink water and milk. They will sometimes hold a Water Bottle or a Bucket of Milk and drink it until it becomes empty. If the Water Bottle or Milk Bucket they drank is empty, the empty Bottle/Bucket they drank will disappear. The Wandering Trader won't drink a Milk Bucket while having the Invisibility Effect on themselves, or monsters will see them and attack them. [link] [comments] |
/r/Minecraftsuggestions should allow the attachments of images/videos into their submissions Posted: 18 Jun 2019 02:32 PM PDT Before the overhaul of reddits' format, users in this subreddit could attach images along with their proposals. Ever since the 'update' , the ability to attach images/video, or even link, has been removed. This has severely impacted the ability of ideas to be conveyed as the proposer intended. While words can and should always be used instead of just visuals, visuals go miles/kilometers for helping convey the material/idea at hand. I know myself, personally have supported significantly less ideas since I can't actually see what is being proposed. And am instead limited by my own imagination and the written summary of the proposer. (Specifically, it's bad form to ask the reader to 'fill in the gaps' and assume that's what was intended.) Please mods of /r/minecraftsuggestions enable the ability to attach images into the suggestions here on this subreddit. As it was before. [link] [comments] |
Give witches the ability of familiar spirits Posted: 18 Jun 2019 02:12 PM PDT It's folklore as old as witchcraft itself that witches have what's called 'familiar spirits'; non-human creatures, often taking the form of animals, that companion them. Sometimes even being considered witches themselves. In pop culture works such as Sabrina the teenage witch, Professor McGonagall in Harry Potter, the Witch (2015), Charmed, any accounting of the Salem witch trails, the X-Files... the association of witches and familiars is common knowledge and I do not think minecraft should be excluded from this list. Witches should have the power to transform into animal shape. Here's how I think it should work BATS
CATS
What's good about this? What are some potential downsides?
What do you think could be improved upon in this idea? Any other familiars witches should transform into? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jun 2019 02:07 PM PDT Water arrows are like the opposite of the Flame enchantment. They put fires out, and if you shoot yourself with it, it will stop you from burning. Also, if you shoot a creeper with it the explosion won't damage the area, like if it was in water. If it hits any lava block, it turns into obsidian. This could be useful in the nether when you are on fire and you can't place down a water bucket to put it out, and you could make bridges in it without wasting as much time and resources. Also saves your house from creepers. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jun 2019 07:51 AM PDT My suggestion is scorced wood. The scorched log is made of 4 charcoal, and it can be crafted into scorched planks. It's a completely black wood, with a grey tone. [link] [comments] |
Nausea makes hostile mobs less careful Posted: 17 Jun 2019 05:03 PM PDT For example, if there is a ravine between you and a Nausea-effected Zombie, the Zombie will walk straight into the Ravine. I'd also make it so you can brew Nausea potions but I dont know how (Poisonous Potatoes would work but they aren't allowed uses; perhaps Rotten Flesh?). I think if you corrupt a Nausea potion, you could get a Blindness potion too [link] [comments] |
Zombie pig men should attack you, if they see you eating pork chops in front of them Posted: 18 Jun 2019 12:39 PM PDT Title explains itself really, just thought it could make the nether more interesting as I feel like zombie pig men serve no purpose really [link] [comments] |
Roads in the world of Minecraft Posted: 18 Jun 2019 12:02 PM PDT The world of Minecraft is filled with the remains of some once yet seemingly glorious, but now long gone civilisation - abaddoned mineshafts, strongholds, underwater ruins e.t.c. It seems to me that the roads built by those civilisation should have also remain to the "present days"(analogy: Roman roads in real life) and be present in the game's world. My vision of the roads in the game world: -They can generate in any Overworld biome, exept for arctic biomes, deserts, and swamps. -The roads in the badlands and savanna should be made from cobblestone slabs. The roads in all other biomes (forests, plains e.t.c.) should be made from mossy cobblestone slabs. -Each road is only two blocks wide, but can be as long as rivers are and go though multiple biomes before abruptly ending -Road goes as a straight line on flat surfases, but curves its way to get around mountains. Roads can go up non-tall hills -If river crosses a road, road just continues on the other side of the river [link] [comments] |
