Two new enchantments that are exclusive to hoes.

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 10:01 AM PDT

Both of these enchantments will have 3 levels and will make the dirt blocks that the hoe is used on become a very dark brown with occasional purple sparkle effects to show that n enchanted hoe was used on it. The first enchantment is called Luck of the Land, which increases crop yeild by 33% on the first level, 66% on the second level, and by 100% on the third level. This enchantment also increases your chances of harvesting things other than melons and potatoes, such as golden carrots and golden melons. The second (and more common) enchantment is called fertility, which makes your crops grow faster, with level one cutting the growth time in half, level two cutting it in thirds, and level three cutting it in fifths. Stomping on land tilled by these hoes is very hard, seeing the only way to remove the enchantment is to mine it with something other than a silk touch shovel. Edit: I removed enchanted shovels and diamonds because some people thought it was too unbalanced.

Feather Falling Doesn’t Break Your Crops

    Posted: 15 Jul 2019 08:21 PM PDT

I think a small but useful detail that could be added is that having feather falling on your boots would make it so your crops don't break if you fall on them. I think for lower levels of feather falling there would be a chance of them not breaking (level one maybe 25%, level 2 50%, level 3 75%, and feather falling 4 would make it so you never break your crops). This won't be game changing, but I find it super annoying when you break your crops and have to go get out your hoe and seeds to fix that one annoying space. It makes sense too, since if you fall like a feather you would learn to tread lightly on your crops so you wouldn't trample them. What do you all think?

    Superflat nether

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 11:33 AM PDT

When generating a superflat world, the player should have an option to make the nether flat. Fortresses and lava seas would be toggleable.

[Weather] [Mobs] [Combat] Add fog back into Minecraft, but this time it works very differently.

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 03:07 PM PDT

Fog has a 1/6 chance of appearing before rain, after rain, and in mornings, but never more than once a day. Skeletons and zombies still burn up, but this is just to give room for a new mob called Drifters that only appear in foggy weather. Drifters are ghostlike and weild throwing knives (3 can be crafted with one blaze rod and one iron ingot). They are able to float 1.5 blocks off the ground and are immune to all projectiles except throwing knives, as most projectiles go right through them. Being categorized as undead, Drifters take extra damage from swords with the smite enchantment on them. Drifters disappear when the fog ends, which usually lasts 3-6 minutes. I will happily take your suggestions in the comments to balance this new event to keep it suitable for Minecraft. I will make a follow up post about the throwing knives and I will try to link it here.

    Iron apples

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 06:40 AM PDT

Essentially it would be the opposite of a golden apple, giving you extra armour protection instead of health bars.

    Butterflies

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 12:49 PM PDT

Butterflies would only spawn in forests, flower forests, roofed forest, mushroom islands, jungles and plains (but are less common in plains). They would come in all 16 colors and if killed, can be used to dye the elytra by putting the elytra and the butterfly in an anvil.

    horse armor stands

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 07:14 AM PDT

There should be armor stands but for horse armor, this would be cool for anyone that builds in a medieval kind of style for stables and stuff, just decoration.

    Cave Snails (with image/concept)

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 03:56 AM PDT

As the title suggests, this snail lives in the dark depths of caves. It is naturally devoid of shell, so it uses as protection the helmets that were abandoned by miners or that belonged to miners now dead. For this reason it is possible to find it in 3 variants (leather helmet, iron helmet and diamond helmet).

This is how it could look like (Note: the model and the texture could be improved, this is only a concept art)

    Sketchfab 3D model

The snail has bioluminescent spots on the body (similar to those of the drowneds) and uses it to slightly illuminate the surrounding environment to move more easily.

Due to the scarcity of food in the places it lives, over time adaptation has led it to feed on the softest minerals, those that can be mined with a stone pickaxe, which it will release once killed along with the helmet it is wearing.

If you like this idea please vote it on the Feedback Site or it will never be considered

Landing with Feather Falling Boots makes a different sound other than your legs breaking.

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 01:36 PM PDT

Besides taking less damage, there is no indication that you have feather falling equipped when jumping from high heights. Landing should produce an air poof sound or a muffled thump instead.

Furthermore, enchantment specific sounds would go a long way for immersion. Having arrows clink off your protection chest plate. Respiration helmets bubble, etc...

Illagers Being Able To Sleep Like Their Non-Hostile Counterparts

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 10:13 AM PDT

I would suggest that, as I am fond of these new mobs, that Illagers would be able to sleep in beds, but if a villager or a player comes within a 5-block-radius of them sleeping (if the player does not sneak), they wake up playing a yawning sound and attack you, although they will be 12% slower due to being tired, slowly picking up speed as their drowsiness wears off. Once you outrun them, they will go back to their bed and resume sleep, otherwise they will have their original speed back and chase you around, especially deadly if it is a vindicator chasing you. It would also be that when the Illagers are sleeping, that the weapons they usually carry around with them (e.g a Vindicator uses an axe, a Pillager uses a crossbow, etc.) would sit on the floor next to the beds they are sleeping on, mostly there to bait the player into thinking they can pick them up, only succeeding in waking the Illager up due to the noise. And finally, when the Illagers sleep, they close their eyes and make a snoring noise, thus indicating their location to the player, each snoring and yawning sound being unique to each Illager.

Feeding a Slime enough Rotten Flesh (or anything for that matter) will increase its size and grant some XP.

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 01:27 PM PDT

With this method, you should be able to grow a slime to beyond its normal spawning sizes (ex: Feeding a large slime half a stack of rotten flesh bumps it up to huge size, and feeding a huge slime a whole stack engorges it even further).

Ink sacs as a temporary blinding item

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 09:48 AM PDT

Since ink sacs are going to be less used for crafting and stuff, I think its time we got some more use for ink sacs. You can right click while holding to shoot particles that blind mobs and players for a few seconds as a getaway option. Blinded hostile mobs will stop chasing the player for a few seconds. Squids could even blind you if you attack them, and it flies farther and lasts longer in water. One potential problem is spamming ink sacs on other players, so it's important that it lasts for a few seconds, as spam could really annoy them

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 12:12 PM PDT

When it's set to true it may make items despawn after game ticks, and when it's false items will never despawn. It will be useful for custom maps espacially the arcade type.

    Transparent armor

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 11:18 AM PDT

Skins don't get enough time in the sun once a player gathers resources, therefore translucent or transparent armor solves this issue.

    Animated skins!

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 02:22 PM PDT

You could draw out every frame of the animation or just copy one frame and edit it. This would be done on the website. It would be toggle-able in servers.

    Turn wandering trader off

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 05:54 AM PDT

I don't know of this has been said before, but it's really annoying when the wandering trader random spawns while you're building in creative. It would be nice if you were able to turn wandering trader off by using /gamerule disablewanderingtrader.

    Blaze Lanturns

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 02:23 PM PDT

We have a solid list of uses for blaze rods presently. Furnace fuel, brewing catalyst, magma cream, eye of ender, brewstand/potion ingredients name them all (I think).

Given the ease of fuel generation these days, using blaze rods as a fuel source is easy to live without. Post stronghold, ender chests are the only demand for eye of ender and unless you are supplying a server storefront with potions- blaze powder stacks up quite easy. Bottom line- once you have a farm up and running you can't get rid of the stuff quick enough.

I suggest a crafting recipe similar to redstone lamps that converts glass blocks (not panes) into a lanturn that emits light- requiring one glass block per 4 blaze powder. These blocks would emit light in the same way that glowstone and sea lanturns do, and contain animated particle effects in the block interior to serve as a visual distinction that the glass block emitting light is a (color) blaze lanturn.

Colored lighting could also be introduced with this block, along with a slider in the video settings that would adjust saturation and intensity of the tinted lights. The option would exist to completely remove any color hue from the light emitted from these blocks and leave it all the same natural light color.

Edit: I forgot about end rods :V I think that's the only present use I left out.

Make Bane of Arthropods more useful

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 03:48 PM PDT

My proposal is to change Smite to Bane of the Undead, as Smite deals extra damage to undead mobs. I then suggest that Bane of Arthropods be renamed to Smite, but would get a major buff, including all living monsters (enderman, creeper, blaze, Pillager, etc.). Smite would be an appropriate name because it's definition (* a heavy blow or stroke with a weapon or the hand.*) doesn't have anything to do with undead things only.

This would ultimately be a simple buff to Bane of arthropods to include living monsters, but with a name switch as well. (Mostly because I couldn't come up with a way to change Bane of Arthropods to include non-arthropod mobs, so I just switched them).

I know a name switch could be confusing, so if anyone could come up with a better name for the new buffed enchant that would prevent us from having to swap the Smite name, I'd be open to suggestions.

No new ores, just a different use of the current ones

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 04:08 AM PDT

If they don't want to add new ores, why not add a few alloys? Iron-gold alloy has a strong magnetic attraction. This could be used for a set of armor and tools and when wearing the armor you can pick up any metal items from another block or so away.

The alloys would be made in a blast furnace which would have 2 input spots instead of 1. It would take half of a coal to make an alloy ingot.

Steel could also be made by iron and coal, but I can't really think of a use for steel that iron couldn't do so maybe not. Any suggestions for additions to this would be appreciated!

    Updating Stone variants

    Posted: 16 Jul 2019 02:27 AM PDT

Firstly, Andesite (in IRL) is formed by magma erupted on the surface, so why is it found underground not even near lava? This should be changed so that it can only be found around surface lava pools.

Next, Granite. It is (in IRL) formed when magma (molten rock) is forced between other rocks, so why can it be found far from lava? It should only form nearby lava pools.

Then, Diorite, which is (in IRL) basically granite that can only be found deep underground. Look at Minecraft surface caves riddled with diorite. It should only generate under y=20 near lava pools.

All of this will make the stone variants much rarer and actually give them a reason to mine them; a house using stacks of polished diorite would be quite hard make.

Oh, and let's not forget gravel. It is formed (in IRL) by weathering and erosion of rocks. Then how is it found underground? It should only be found nearby water (i.e. rivers, lakes, and oceans) and in mountains (therefore not affecting the gravelly mountains biome).
