Cleric villagers should throw splash potions of healing on iron golems every once in a while.

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 10:58 AM PDT

Currently iron golems have no way of healing themselves, and they can't regenerate health. The only real way they could regain health is if a player uses a splash potion of healing on them, which they may not have, as you need to have raided a Nether fortress to get access to potions. So it would make sense for iron golems to get healed by clerics every once in a while.

    New world type: limited 2.0

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 12:58 PM PDT

The world is square shaped and size is limited. It is very big, but still limited. However, when you get to the edge of the world, instead of the world no longer generating, it simply begins generating from the direct opposite side of the world.

For example, if you got to the lower left hand corner of the world, you would cross into the upper right hand corner of the world. This way you could walk in any direction in a straight line, and after a long time you would return to where you started.

There would also be a fewer number of structures as a way to keep the game fair.

I think this world type would be cool, since instead of infinite land that nobody could ever realistically explore, you could feasibly map out the entire world without the world feeling inauthentic due to a sudden edge of the world

Speakers to extend the audible range of jukeboxes

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 11:59 AM PDT

So just imagine speakers just sorta existing here and there, hanging from certain ceilings, or littered everywhere

Put a disk in a nearby jukebox, and every speaker within a certain distance (possibly determined by which material made it -- short for gold, stronger for iron, etc) would become a new proxy for the jukebox's sound to emanate from!

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 11:30 AM PDT

Dog was a song that plays after Cat is finished playing on a Jukebox on Legacy Console Edition.
It's simply a remixed version of Cat that sounds much better in my opinion. To my knowledge it is exclusive to Legacy Console Edition which is a shame and even then, it still lacks it's own record and shares it with Cat.

    The Desert Well Revamp

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 10:17 AM PDT

So desert wells as they stand are currently very underwhelming have nothing going on, even less than igloos. So now imagine this. You go up to the desert well and as usual it doesn't look that enticing, but when you hop inside it into the water you find yourself descending into a cavern below it. You are brought into an underground lake chamber that contains a couple chests with various loot, gold nuggets, and perhaps a small variety of rarer items and a husk mob spawner. Now instead of a barren structure that serves no purpose whatsoever you have this nifty little cave to find beneath them. Perhaps it could have variants where its completely flooded and has a drowned mob spawner in its stead.

Dragon Lairs and the Nether Citadel

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 12:25 AM PDT

Reposting cause I didn't have enough karma at the beginning when I first posted this and was thusly removed.

    So here's the concept.

The Dragon Lair: A structure that spawns in mountain class biomes in new type of block that cannot be mined (like bedrock but unique to the dragon lairs like brimstone or something like that.) until the dragon is slain. These blocks cannot be mined (to keep the players from just mining into the lair) and would visually look like scorched cobblestone with veins of fire emitting low levels of light (redstone torch level) The dragon lair would have a large door at its entrance that is locked by a key. To make this key you would need to mine a new ore called ruby. This lair would also be surrounded by lots of lava making the dragon lair mountain foreboding to look at but also alluring as you are exploring.

Within the dragon lairs would be a hoard to loot once the dragon is beaten. This would contain lots of gold and some other rare ores like emeralds and diamonds as well as various other loot like armor, weapons, and other treasures like enchanted books and the like that could potentially occupy the chests from a loot table.

Rubies: As it is related to the new mountain dragons rubies can be found at redstone/lapis level in mountain biomes or rarely in normal caves. They can also be found as rewards within dungeons/strongholds in mountain biomes. Rubies will be used for the new dragon keys as well as a new type of armor called ruby armor. Ruby blocks when made (9 Ruby ingots) have a slight glowing aura to them for decorative effect to make perhaps more evil looking castles and the like (like an anti-prismarine lantern)

Dragon Key: Created using 8 ruby ingots and a dragon scale in the center

Ruby Armor: Stronger than iron, but weaker than diamond, the ruby armor is naturally imbued with Fire Resistance I.

Ruby Tools: Ruby tools set mobs on fire when they land a hit. They are weaker than iron swords in raw damage due to their fire effect for D.O.T.

The Mountain Dragon: The mountain dragons would have a large health pool (100-150 hearts) and would stay in their chambers to protect their hoard. Mountain dragons would attack with melee claw attacks as well as a sweeping fire breath attack that sets players and mobs that get in on fire. The dragon could also beat its wings causing large knockback (equivalent to knockback IV) with perhaps a 3 heart damage. The dragon could also use its tail to bash players behind it. The mountain dragon would be immune to arrows forcing player to get up close and personal. When killed the mountain dragon gives 30 levels of xp, drops a mountain dragon egg, 4-6 dragon scales, and a dragon heart.

Dragon Egg: Used to respawn mountain dragons. The item would have to be placed on an altar constructed of Gold and Ruby blocks with the heart placed in the center and set on fire.

Dragon Heart: Used to summon a new boss within the nether. When combined with 4 eyes of ender and 4 ghast tears the player will receive a demon heart.

Demon Heart: Taken to the altar at the heart of the nether citadel and placed upon it. When upon the altar and the player used a water bucket on it the demon lord will be spawned atop the altar.

The Nether Citadel: A rare structure like the Stronghold and massive in size, nether citadels would be filled with mobs, treasure, and of course the altar at its heart. It would be made of materials same in style of a nether fortress but colored in black and red to signify that its the lair of the demon lord, a place terrifying to set eyes upon, but also alluring enough to enthrall the player into exploring its dangerous halls. It would contain blazes, wither skeletons, pigmen, new Satyr Demons, and patrolling ghasts on the outside.

Wyrmlings: A new mob found in mountain biomes. These enemies are resilient foes that will both walk on the ground and try and bite players or fly up and sweep down much like phantoms. They are also capable of breathing fire in either state. When killed they can drop 1-2 dragon scales and have a chance at dropping diamond, ruby, or emerald nuggets.

Dragon Scales: When 8 of these are combined with an Eye of Ender you get a Dragon Eye. Dragon Scales can also be used on an enchanting table to guarantee fire resist enchantments for armor or application of a fire effect on swords.

Dragon Eye: This item functions like an eye of ender, except it seeks out nether citadels as opposed to strongholds.

Demon Lord: This is the devil himself basically in the nether. He is a flying/ground type spawned within the nether citadel and is a boss mob. The demon lord would sling ghast fireballs that apply wither and burning at the players while also hitting the player with claws that apply weakness and hunger drain. This guy can also fly and would be tougher than the wither in hp. When killed this guy gives xp higher than the wither, as well as dropping the Demon Crown. He can be re-spawned by repeating the process with the mountain dragons. His appearance would be a winged satyr with the demon crown on his head.

    Demon Lord Abilities:

Fireball: Applies wither upon hit and deals 4 hearts damage. Does not destroy blocks as wither skull attacks do.

Claws: Apply weakness and hunger drain while also inflicting 4 hearts damage.

Demon Gaze: Eyes begin glowing red, anyone who looks at its eyes (same registry as staring at an enderman) suffer a couple second stun effect that turns them to stone (texture the player grey like stone blocks)

Fire Nova: Sends out blaze fires in all directions dealing the same damage as blaze fires and inflicting burning.

Summon: Eyes glow purple and spawns in 3 Satyr Demons.

Claw of Sloth: Claw has a green particle effect applied to it and upon hit it applies slow V

    Roar: Causes Knockback III.

If the Demon Lord kills a player, a wither skeleton is spawned where they died.

Demon Crown: The demon crown allows the player to walk on lava and be immune to fire damage whilst in the nether. All fire damage taken is instead applied against the durability of the crown. This provides no armor and takes up the headslot creating a tradeoff of defense for utility as the elytra does.

Satyr Demons: New mob exclusive to Nether Citadels, they look like goatmen and wield ruby swords. They would attack the player like wither skeletons and pigmen and be hyper aggressive to trespassers within the citadel. They would hit hard (4-5 hearts) and apply the burning effect attached to ruby swords. When killed the satyrs would have a chance at dropping ruby swords and satyr horns.

Satyr Horns: Used in the brewing of the new Nether Ichor.

Potion of Decay: Now brewable in survival using 2 ghast tears and 2 wither skulls on a bottle of water, can be made into splash variant.

Nether Ichor: Grants the drinker 1 minute of wither resistance (halves wither damage) and is made by adding Satyr horns to a potion of decay.

Mellohi can be found in Woodland Mansions.

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 11:37 AM PDT

Mellohi is a waltz, which is that stereotypical Disney Princess kind of ballroom slow dance. Of course Woodland Mansions lack ballrooms, it would be a nice addition as many real, old mansions do, of course have ballrooms.

There is also always the option to add a ballroom in Illager Mansions, but it would seem odd to add an entire new room to an older, still interesting structure like that.

Just to clarify, by saying it's a waltz, I mean it's the music that would go with the waltz dance. That genre of music is also called a waltz.

Villagers hold items when building an iron golem.

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 09:29 AM PDT

Farmer could hold pumpkin, Shepard holds shears (to cut the pumpkin), toolsmith and armorer and weaponsmith all hold iron ingots, and Mason holds iron block (Mason works with cutting blocks).

Idk about the other professions, but I think if only these villagers held the blocks it would be a cool AI addition to villagers.

    Ghast Hive

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 02:02 PM PDT

Right now, there isnt much too look for in the nether. I think a ghast hive (This idea was taken from a Grian video) Could be a hanging cone shaped structure in the nether, that have ghast larvae that cannot attack you. If you kill 1 of them, it will summon a Ghast queen boss.

Shift clicking item in inventory in crafting table should put the item in the top left slot of the crafting table if possible, like chests.

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 05:06 AM PDT

Quality of life improvement, I'm not sure why this hasn't already been implemented, as shift-clicking items to quickly put them in and take them out of chests is super helpful. You might think this wouldn't be that helpful, but it makes crafting shapeless recipes like books and flint & steels a lot quicker.

The ability to edit what your character model looks like.

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 06:09 AM PDT

Of course you would still be two blocks tall and still have arms and legs, but wouldn't it be so cool to have tails, claws, ears, fins, noses, or other things? Quite a few people don't have 'human' skins and have animals or fantasy creatures similar to humans, and this allows them to make their dog skin not look like a gray derp, or their goblin skin to have claws and big, 3D ears. Minecraft's players could be so much more customizable than they are now, updoot if it's a good idea

    Blocksquatch

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 01:35 PM PDT

I've posted this before in other subreddits. But I've made it a bit better.

Blocksquatch is a neutral mob that has a low chance of spawning in every type of Taiga and Forest biome.

In the overworld, he will only spawn in the night if you have placed a campfire in one of his spawn biomes. And in the underground, in a special structure called Blocksquatch Caves. He can be spawned indefinitely.

He looks similiar to an iron golem, but can be made out of: Stone, dirt, sand or logs. He has 50 health, and deals 5 points of damage. He attacks in the same way as regular Iron Golem.

He drops the block he was made out of and bone.

Let me know what you think.

Fermented Spider Eye + Water Bottle = Anti-water Bottle

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 08:15 AM PDT

I always found it strange that corrupting a Water Bottle creates a Potion of Weakness. Here's my idea of what it should create instead.

Anti-water is basically the reverse of regular water. Instead of hurting Endermen/Blazes/Snow Golems, Anti-water will heal them instead. If thrown at a fire, it will help spread the fire instead of putting it out.

EDIT: Anti-water bottles have a new use: drying. Throw a Splash or Lingering Bottle of Anti-water at Wet Sponges and it will dry them out. This process takes 3-4 seconds(would just be a better way to dry out sponges all at once). Obviously, you can't get the water back with this method.

Anti-water can be made into Splash, Lingering and Arrow versions, of course. It looks like water with inverted colors.

Hostile mobs need to be faster

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 03:47 PM PDT

Back in the days before we could run mobs were a lot deadlier. Going out at night would be very dangerous as it would be hard to escape a pack of hostile mobs.

Now days though you can just sprint away, and unless you're unlucky it's easy to get away.

I think hostile mobs need to sprint at you, at least some of them like zombies at least, either just when they see you (maybe this would only be enabled on Normal/Hard), or based on a varying mob speed property (some zombies are faster than you, some are very slow, etc), or just whether they decide to on chance, or if you're making a lot of noise, or the phase of the moon, etc.

Maybe some other changes could be added along with this too, such as mobs alerting others around them when they see you (so you can't just draw over a single mob one by one, they all come in a pack). The risk of a pack of sprinting zombies that can catch up to you trying to sprint away would definitely make you more cautious at night.

I think this would add a much needed increase in difficulty to the game.

    Book Demons

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 04:28 AM PDT

If you break a bookshelf within 1-3 blocks of an enchanting table at night the book demon will have a 1/10 chance if spawning. Similar to silver fish, but for bookshelves. It has medium health but because it is literally a protection I-IV book, close range attacks will not do much against it. It will be a protection I to IV and will have that amount of defense accordingly. It upon being killed, will drop paper, books, and rarely the enchanted book that it was.

A new next step up from using bonemeal directly onto crops, using bonemeal or a new item directly onto tilled soil will make anything planted on it mature faster.

If a new item is introduced for this function, it could take the place of recieving bonemeal from the composter since that only makes sense at the moment with bonemeal being the closest thing to fertiliser.

    Boss Music for Pillager Raids

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 05:06 AM PDT

It could be adaptive music, that changes, depending on, for example:

    • If it's the 1st, 2nd or 3rd wave
    • If there's a Pillager Beast

But I also think, that, more importantly, the boss music should slowly blend out if the raid goes on for a longer time, so that it doesn't get annoying (for example, so you don't have to hear it every time you're near a Pillager raid farm).

But overall, it'd be very epic to just have Pillager raid music.

Recycle old unused bases/homes into NPC bases/homes

    Posted: 13 Aug 2019 11:44 AM PDT

NPCs could spawn in old bases/homes that don't see use anymore. Like if you havent slept in your bed for X days a villager or illager could spawn in your old home making it their own. You could than take your home back either by trading with the villager for a deed slip that when used on the bed prevents npc's from spawning on it and allows for sleeping in your bed which would despawn the villager. Sleeping in or breaking the bed before paying the villager could turn it into an illager with any forceful methods against illagers in this process triggering a raid against your home after taking it back.
