- Why not add a beacon effect where it repels all mob spawning in the radius?

| Posted: 24 Oct 2019 04:27 AM PDT I would like to suggest beavers as a new mob type. They would spawn on most biomes with a river and trees nearby and build dams from the wood obtained from trees. You could tame them (or make them friendlier) by giving them logs and they could be used to remove trees you didn't want to sully your precious diamond axe chopping yourself. The dams could be used as a shelter (akin to a wood igloo) while exploring, but only if the beavers were friendly. [link] [comments]  |

Please upvote the post in that link if you'd like to see it added to the game. This would actually make conduits useful as an end game item, not just something replaceable by potions and enchantments. It would also allow the use of water in redstone contraptions and mob farms in the nether, such as the use of bubble streams. Edit: I never said that conduits are completely useless, only that their use is largely overshadowed by much cheaper items. A change like this would make it worth searching for buried treasure. | Posted: 24 Oct 2019 10:10 AM PDT Minecraft is empty, and it's maybe the biggest default of the game. When you go on a forest, you just ear yourself walking, when you are swimming in water, you just ear some wicky sounds, and when you are in the sky, you ear nothing. It may be time, after 10 years, to add ambiance effects. No, the cute little nostalgic music isn't enough, you need to bring LIFE to your game. exemples: - During night time. (also notice the little zombies grunting, which makes night time creepier). - Near a beach (seagulls not necessary). Even though some players have PTSDS with the whale sounds under the ocean, you don't have to add MOBS related to sounds. Like birds. Imagine, playing Minecraft, and hearing this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=974-sRDrcPM This would be just the best thing to ever happen to this game, honestly. You can add how many mobs you want, how many colors, bricks, blocks, you can even add a fricking dragon. If your game is empty of sounds, it doesn't deserve a 20/20, not yet, at least. Posted: 24 Oct 2019 12:49 PM PDT End crystals are basically just dragon spawn eggs and explosives, an extra use would be interesting. I'm not exactly sure how fast it should be, but there should be a cap on how much total healing you can get from end crystals as you could just line your walls with them and be indestructible. Posted: 24 Oct 2019 12:39 PM PDT I remember people conversing about how the lack of light overruns otherwise great builds with monsters, yet adding light could actually take away from the atmosphere. So, to counter this, without having to add a new light object, why not just make mob repellent a beacon effect? By the time you can acquire a beacon, you are refining and building new things and your armor is usually so good that monsters aren't really a threat anymore - just an annoyance. With the radius of the beacon, you could even just hide it behind a wall and it wouldn't ruin the mood or atmosphere of a build. It seems like a good vanilla alternative to ugly torches everywhere, imo. [link] [comments]  |

| Charged creepers drop charged gunpowder, a new item Posted: 23 Oct 2019 08:49 PM PDT Charged gun powder can make charged tnt which does more damage and has a higher blast radius than normal tnt. It can also be used as a brewing material that makes a super splash potion or lingering potion. Super splash and lingering potions have greater ranges on impact, so their effects are more powerful (in the case of instant effects) or their effects last longer. They last longer because their most effective area is larger. If you had to get the particle cloud point blank to have the full effect, super potions are maybe in a 3x3 area. When put in a cauldron to dip arrows in a super potion (yes this works) or using a super lingering potion at a crafting table, it gives splash arrows. Their effect area is even smaller than a standard splash potion, it is a 3x3 maximum range, not even as good as either splash potion. These are arrows though, so they have better range and can be stacked. Charged creepers drop as much charged gunpowder as a regular creeper drops normal gunpowder. [link] [comments]  |
