Posted: 10 Oct 2019 09:30 AM PDT When you put two wall blocks on top of each other, there is a slight gap between them, and this really irritates me because i would like to build walls thinner than a full block. |Not only would this make sense, since the walls have a tall bounding box (and can't be jumped over), but it would make buildings better. Posted: 09 Oct 2019 06:57 PM PDT 1) Better loot: you didn't go 15 thousand blocks from spawn for some hard to find dungeon loot, you probably expected things like diamonds, gold, iron and pretty much everything other than C418 - cat and some rotten flesh, so why not have more loot and better loot? 2) more traps: honestly these aren't much of a challenge, there are very few Illagers and NO dangers (other than Illagers). Maybe have a new block called rotten wood that spawns under the carpets (more on this block later). In some hallways there would be hidden tripwire hooks that cause arrows to shoot at anybody unlucky enough with weakness tipped arrows. There would be a special room that seems to have gold blocks and a single diamond block, but some of the wood is rotten wood, causing the player to drop down into lava. 4) Rotten wood: this is a block that looks a lot like wood, but will break when stood on. You can tell it's rotten if there are small dark green dots on it. [link] [comments] |
Speed should effect climbing speed Posted: 10 Oct 2019 03:47 PM PDT So currently the speed effect does nothing if you're climbing, which I don't think makes much sense, as it's a lot like running, just vertically. So it should effect climbing speed. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 10:19 AM PDT Villagers with workstations as noteblocks would trade: Noteblocks (for 3 emeralds, novice) 15 - 21 Lapis ---> emerald Random music disk (maybe including 11 and 13, with a smaller chance? (___ emeralds, apprentice) 3-5 emeralds ---> Notes Bells (___ emeralds, expert) 7-10 emeralds ---> Notes (longer) Jukebox (___ emeralds, master) 12-15 emeralds ---> Notes (even longer) These notes could be inserted into a lectern on top of a note block, and nearby musicians will stand in front of it and play music on a nearby note block (that is their workstation). Muffled noteblocks will not count as workstations, unless muffled after placement. The notes could be some more music from C418. [link] [comments] |
Razor Wing, Phoenix, and more new elytra enchantments Posted: 10 Oct 2019 08:10 AM PDT Elytra * Lift - 1-5 levels Allows the player to stay in the air for longer
The player is pulled to the ground quicker
The elytra's speed is increased (does not effect firework boost)
Deal damage to mobs you fly through. Cannot be paired with Phoenix

Posted: 10 Oct 2019 03:22 PM PDT So , it was explained a while back that Endermites were not end creatures and that they were parasites from a dimension in which Endermen traveled trough, this dimension would have absolutely nothing of loot aside from a lot of Endermites and a couple of new mobs that I will be talking later . , it's whole purpose would be to travel faster , 1 block in there would be 30 blocks in the overword , if you died in there or got lost you would never be able to find your stuff , you would enter there trough a special kind of Ender Pearl that would only be found in chests , you would use 1 to enter and would need another one to get out , if a mob was nearby you it would go to that dimension too , it would be impossible to build and would look like an empty void or a corrupted overworld , if they decide to go for an empty world it would be just that , maybe add a new block like bedrock but completely black , the sky would also be black and it would be completely plain if they decided to go for the corrupted overworld, , there would be no signs of mobs aside from Endermites and possibly a more dangerous hostile mob , called the Endermite queen or The void beast which would oppose a greater thread to the player , the Endermite queen would be quite large , around as long as an Ender Dragon, would be hostile to the player and all End creatures + all animal creatures , it would be like a large worm with the face of an endermite , it's attack would deal only half a heart of damage and would work like a bite and it would give you a new effect , the "infected" effect which would deal a similar amount of damage as poison , maybe a little less and would spawn an Endermite every 5 seconds, it would have 10 hearts of health and would be generally normal to find , this effect would also affect mobs that were attacked by the Endermite Queen and if the mob gets killed it would drop 5 Endermites , similar to how killing a slime makes it drop more little slimes , If you killed the queen , it's drop would be a Endermite queen heart which would be able to be used to create an antidote potion , since the "infected" effect would not be curable by milk and would be usable to cure Mobs affected by the effect if turned into a splash potion before dying , The other mob , the Void Beast would be a hostile mob to the player , but passive to other mobs except for Endermites and Endermite Queens , they would be big , a similar size to a ghast , would look like a big bulky bird made out of cobblestone quite possibly a scarecrow , that would hunt down Endermites and eat them , it would be vulnerable while eating ( which would take 1 second If it was an Endermite and 5 if it was an Endermite Queen ) It's main attack would be a simple tackle that dealt 5 hearts of damage , if it had less than half of its life which would be 8 hearts , they would turn into obsidian and fall to the ground , when they hit the ground they would create an area damage with the same force as a ravaged tackle , it would stay as obsidian for 3 seconds and in that state is impossible to deal damage to it unless it's attacked by a pickaxe , in that state it will heal half a heart and after the 3 seconds have passed it would go back to the sky and repeat the process , after killed , It's drop would only be a lot of experience and some cobblestone ( if killed in the normal state or obsidian if killed in it's obsidian state , the beast would also be a scavenger and take all the loot in the ground, which would only be obtained back after the beast is killed [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 09:04 AM PDT Self-explanatory, greater reach distance with the tool, maybe 0.5 blocks per level, with 4 levels in total, and could enable more efficient ice farms and such [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 09:05 AM PDT I thought of a new member of the Testificate race that might actually be friends with the Villagers instead of try to kill them constantly, like Illagers. In fact, Illagers are the Nomads sworn enemies. Stats - (Need help here) Combat - The Nomads main weapon choices are the Bow or an Iron Sword, but will sometimes use an Iron Axe or Crossbow if looted from Illagers. They will also use a shield if looted or given by a player. Nomads are equipped with Leather Armor. Nomads prefer to fight on horses, but if caught by surprise while camping or if they are fighting inside a village or structure, they will fight on foot. They dismount horses when entering village or structure. If the Nomads come across a Pillager Patrol, they will fight until either side is defeated. If they come across a Pillager Outpost they will attempt to raid it. Will only attack Woodland Mansions if the Nomad band is made up of 13 or more Nomads (each Nomad band starts with 4-6 Nomads; explanation in Other Nomads section). Nomads will also help defend Villages from Raids if the Nomads are camping near by. Pillager Patrols will also attempt to attack Nomad bands and camps. When a Nomad dies, the rest of the band will gather around a Campfire and mourn. If the Nomad Chief dies, the Nomads will When the Nomad Chief dies during combat, he will release a status effect to the Nomads in his band and any non-hostile players nearby, called Martyr (name suggestion welcome). Martyr will give whoever effected Speed 1, Strength 1, Resistance 1, and Regeneration 1. Nomads will stop at nothing to avenge their fallen. Nomads are neutral to the player unless the player steals from them or attacks them. Creepers and Endermen do not attack Nomads unless the Nomad accidentally hurts them. Other mobs will attack them. Travel & Camping - Nomads naturally spawn in groups of 4-6 Nomads. Nomads will travel through any and every biome, but will try to avoid Mountains for their horses sake. They will also lead their horses through deep water with leads. Nomads are a little rarer than Pillager Patrols. When night arrives, Nomads will make a camp complete with Campfires, Beds, and Tents. The Tents aren't items, they are just structures made of wool and fence. The Nomad will appear to "place" the Tent when they decide to camp. The Nomads will camp anywhere from 1-7 nights. While camping the Nomads will hunt and fish with their bows. At night, one Nomad will stay awake as a guard. If the camp is attacked, the guard will wake the others. After Camping the Nomads will gather all of there stuff except for fireplaces. They will put those out. This is just so you know they were there. If the Nomads can find a village, they will camp within 20 blocks of it. Nomads will trade and mingle with the Villagers. Nomads will not enter the Nether or temples. Trading - Nomads will trade with Villagers and players. They usually trade items they have gathered from their travels and raids, in return for food and weapons. Other Nomads - A Nitwit Villager has a 50% chance of joining a Nomad band if it has less than 6 members, excluding the Chief. If it has 6 or more members, than there is a 5% chance of the Nitwit Villager joining. When 2 Nomad bands see each other, there is a 50% chance they will ignore each other, 25% chance they will greet each other and trade and maybe even camp together, 12.5% chance of attacking each other, and a 12.5% chance of the merging to form a bigger band. Nomad bands can reach a max of 25 members. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 09:41 AM PDT As the SciCraft server has implemented, silverfish leaving blocks should drop gravel, thus making gravel a renewable resource (I know about the end portal duplication, but doesn't always work on laggy severs and this would bring silverfish to a use) [link] [comments] |
New Illager: Pirate (+ Kraken Boss) Posted: 10 Oct 2019 03:35 PM PDT WARNING: Do not be fooled, though this suggestion looks lengthy that doesn't mean it is complex. I imagine the Pirate would be a new type of illager that spawns once on pirate ships (a new structure that is basically just the non-sunk version of the shipwreck). There would be 4 types of pirate:
I think that pirate ships could possibly act similar to pillager outposts as a replacement somewhat uncommonly. When the pirate captain is killed the player would get bad omen. Pirate ShipsCaptain's Quarters: Has a map in an item frame and bookshelves as well as a table and chair. Chest of loot. Hold: Filled with barrels containing cookies, bread, gold nuggets and occasionally cutlasses. Has hammocks and dispensers with a few fire charges representing cannons. Deck: Has masts, barrels, a bell and the wheel. At the front of the ship is a crude villager statue made of a wooden villager head (an exclusive item similar as treasure to the ominous banner or ender dragon head), wood and levers. New ItemsCutlass: As pillagers added a new weapon I thought it would be fitting that pirates would too. This would be the cutlass. It would do slightly more damage than an iron sword and would have the same durability. The cutlass's advantage over other weapons is that as in 1.15 sweeping attack will be enchantment only on swords I think that the cutlass would automatically have sweeping and at a level the same as level 3 of the enchantment. It would also have a longer attack range than normal swords by one block. It has the ability to parry sword or arrow attacks when timed right. It would be found as rare loot in chests and from the captain or possibly by crafting but I can't think of a fair and logical way for a recipe and would prefer it to be loot as it is basically better than swords in every way so the only disadvantage is that it is more rare and has relatively low durability. One of the unique enchantments is slashing which increases damage dealt as a side effect while parrying. Telescope: An item that when held can be used to put the player into a gui with a black outline like they are viewing through a telescope and would also zoom in. If the player is using a map in the other hand then it will show an arrow pointing in the direction they need to go if it is a structure or treasure map and if it is a normal map then they can select which banner waypoint to direct to. It can be obtained as semi rare loot in chests and from the lookout. If it did have a recipe (which I don't think it should) it would be glass, a compass and gold. It would have durability. I am more sceptical of this item being added than the rest but I thought I'd include it anyway. The KrakenPirates have an enemy though other than the player - the Kraken. The Kraken would be an aggressive mob that lurks in deep oceans and typically sleeps. It does not attack the player unless awake. Occasionally it will awaken and seek out pirate ships and will attack the pirates. I think cursed gold would be a loot item on shipwrecks and pirate ships. When the player puts the gold in their inventory they would get the Marauder's curse status effect and would summon the kraken when next by ocean. The Kraken would likely have a boss health bar and slightly lower health than the ender dragon. Krakens attack with their tentacles in a sweeping attack and can grab mobs/players in them. This attack would immobilise the player forcing them to either rapidly jump which would free them or by hitting the tentacle 1-3 times. While grappled they would take damage similarly to the wither effect due to suffocation. Another attack that the kraken will perform is to roar and send players hurtling backwards. The kraken can also submerge under the water and appear anywhere else near the ship causing a wave to hurtle towards the ship. This wave would be made of particle effects and would be occluded by blocks and would deal damage. When killed the Kraken would drop some sort of valuable loot likely used in crafting and would give you an achievement with some sort of pirate or calamari pun name. I feel that the kraken is probably the most unlikely thing on this post but I don't think it would be as extravagant as you are probably envisioning and it isn't too crazy compared to other things mojang have added. I am aware of one issue which is likely why pirates aren't already in the game which is similar to why they don't want to add lions or sharks which is not wanting to glorify pirates as in some parts of the world they are a very real threat. This is why it is very important that pirates are portrayed in a fantastical, cartoonish way and as villains. I really do believe in this as a suggestion and would love to see it implemented into the game. [link] [comments] |
C418's 'Kyoto' should play in Bamboo Forests and Jungles Posted: 10 Oct 2019 04:45 PM PDT This is a simple one. I was recently listening to C418's 'Minecraft - Volume Beta', and when I heard 'Kyoto', I thought it would fit well. The way it would work is once you enter either a Bamboo Forest or Jungle biome boundary, there would be a chance (probably 25% - 35%) for 'Kyoto' to play. This could also open the door for similar music systems in other biomes, just to make the game more atmospheric. 'Kyoto': https://youtu.be/FVNSvz-UyuA (I hope I wrote this suggestion correctly...) New ways to craft certain dyes Posted: 10 Oct 2019 09:55 AM PDT As someone who loves to craft banners, I need LOTS of dye! At the moment there is only one way to get green dye - by cooking cactus, and with the addition of the loom, vines are rendered basically useless, so I think it only makes sense if you could craft vines into green dye. Edit: Someone brought up that this would render cacti useless so to combat this dilemma I thought maybe you get 3 or 4 dye from the cactus method and you only get 1 dye from vines. Another idea I had was to get dye from vines you would have to put 4 in the table, similar to when you craft leather from rabbit hide. Or maybe the growth rate of vines could be slower than cacti to balance it a little. Those are just a couple of ideas I had to still encourage cactus farms. What would also be great is if you could craft sweet berries into red dye! It only makes sense. People make dye with berries in real life, so why not in Minecraft? Sweet berries are only really good for feeding foxes and a not-very-good food source. This would make it worth while making a sweet berry farm! I have more ideas for banner making, but I don't want this post to go on forever! ^^; [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 09:19 AM PDT I thought it would be pretty cool to have a chorus sound in minecraft, and I thought this could be achieved either by Chorus Fruit Plant under note block, or Soul Sand, since it has souls and stuff, but probably the chorus fruit. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 10 Oct 2019 03:31 PM PDT Right now, the only way to get honey without angering the bees is campfires. What if they added a special mask made from a leather helmet and a piece of string that makes it so bees don't do damage to you and don't lose their stingers. When you wear a full set of leather armor with this special mask, bees will (as usual) become hostile when you try to take their honey or otherwise provoke them, but when they attack you, it only damages your leather armor, and not you. After a certain amount of time, they will simply fly away and no longer be interested. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 08:01 AM PDT During a full moon there's a rare chance that a wolf turns into a dire wolf in a brilliant display of particles. Dire wolves have 40 health deal 6 damage and are naturally aggressive. Other wolves follow them around and will also become aggressive when the dire wolf becomes aggressive. Dire wolves can be tamed with rather plenty of bone blocks. When tamed, wild wolves will follow the dire wolf as well. And as before, they will become aggressive towards and what the dire wolf is aggressive and when the dire wolf is aggressive [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 Oct 2019 05:01 PM PDT With a nether update on its way, we are definitely going to get some new achievements. Here are a few of my suggestions. We bring offerings Successfully barter with a piglin To hell and back Discover every nether biome Well done Eat whatever type of meat the piglin beast drops And a few silly ones When hell freezes over Build a snow golem in the nether Insomnia Try to sleep in a bed in the nether I said sit Bring your dog to the nether [link] [comments] |
an idea i had for a new boss that would come out with 1.16 Posted: 10 Oct 2019 07:16 AM PDT So when the Nether update comes so do the Piglins and their bartering system. I thought it would be cool if you can barter for a chance at getting a map/compass that points you in the direction of a castle/dungeon that contains strong loot and enemys. In this stucture is the new boss, the hovering inferno (mob d) but bumped up to boss level stats, so bigher health, damage and size. If you can kill it you can get an item that allows you craft boots that let you walk on lava on take (almost) no fire damage. Anyway this was just a fun idea for a boss i had, feel free to critisize and add to it [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 03:15 AM PDT They are smaller than a regular spider but larger than a cave. Live points: 13 (❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤) Attack Strength: Easy 2 (❤) Normal 2 (❤) Difficult 3 (❤❤) + poison 1 heart for 1.5 seconds. On a hard level, the poison effect lasts 10 seconds. You can detoxify by drinking milk. Rebirth: Forest biomes He drops 0-2 threads and 0-1 spider eye after death. Experience: 1-3 These spiders are reborn in the woods (usually in dark places, for example under large trees. Posted: 10 Oct 2019 09:51 AM PDT If a mob was named by a name tag and then killed or re-named, it should drop its old name tag. If you, however, rename the spawn egg/bucket, it will not drop a name tag. This could be implemented by adding a "NameTagged" tag to named entities. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 03:23 PM PDT Picture this, Your roaming across a plains where you spot a small white tent, and a wandering trader near by. Maybe even only found 1000 blocks from spawn. The tent could also have a chest/barrel that could contain new loot even contributing to the lore of the game. I think this would be a good addition to the game and a reason to explore the different biomes of Minecraft [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 08:14 AM PDT So I had an idea for a new mob the Nether Serpent. The nether serpent would be sort of like a mini boss and would be unique in that it will swim in the lava. They will randomly spawn within 150 blocks of any shores and they will just swim about until spotting a player (They have a sight range of 100) Once one spawns in a chunk the chances of another spawning go down significantly. Health and Appearance- The Serpent will have 150 health or 75 hearts. It's body will look like the neck portion of the Ender Dragon with medium sized dorsal fins that are lava colored. The body being 10 blocks long and about 1.5 blocks wide at the widest point. With a head similar to the ender dragons head but with a Lava colored eyes, netherrack colored skin and two large horns that are also lava colored. Attacks- Fire breath- This attack would be similar to the Ender Dragon's breath attack but would be narrower and travel 30 blocks following the target player. Doing 3 damage every second, lasting from 3 to 6 seconds depending on whether the player moves out of range or not. It also sets the ground on fire. Roar- This roar has a radius of 100 blocks and will only push the player around 2 blocks backward. Along with this it will also attract any mob within the range and make all zombie pigman hostile. Fireball- This attack would be similar to a ghast's attack doing the same damage with a smaller explosion radius Lunge- If the player is within 10 blocks the serpent will lunge at the player doing 6 damage on easy 10 on normal and 14 on hard, along with causing severe knockback. Behavior- Upon spotting a player the serpent will approach the shore, firing fireballs in 3 second intervals until it is within 5 blocks of the shore, at that point the serpent will alternate between it's fire breath and lunge. After taking at least 50 damage it will roar and retreat back about 35 blocks from the shore and go back and forth firing fireballs in 3 second intervals again for 15 seconds, never coming closer than 10 blocks from a shore. It will then approach the shore again and the damage counter will start again, repeating this process until it is defeated or the player(s) are no longer in range. Drops- The Nether Serpent will always drop 1 serpent scale which will float in the air for two seconds and then go to the player who killed it. It could be used to craft a new weapon the Scale Spear or just spear. It will be crafted with two blaze rods in the middle a bottom left and the scale on the top right. The spear will have a durability of 1000, and work exactly like a trident. It will come with Fire Aspect III, and be able to mine ice and snow insanely fast. If you have the spear in your hand and you are walking through snow it will melt snow within 2 blocks of you. (Possibly taking a couple seconds for showier snow) It can have the enchanments sharpness, mending, unbreaking and looting. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Oct 2019 05:06 PM PDT The is the actual block texture The Chorus Block would be a block made with 9 chorus fruit that could be crafted back into 9 chorus fruit. It would be a way to store chorus fruit, and a nice looking block. There's not much too it, but the texture looks nice. [link] [comments] |
