Ravines were a great addition to Minecraft. I kinda wish we got more stuff like it.

Imagine cliffs (a sheer drop, possibly next to an ocean). While Minecraft kinda has cliffs, they're mostly just low slopes made of dirt instead of stone cliffsides.

Or valleys, a mostly flat area surrounded by mountains on all sides.

These would make for beautiful vistas, and fantastic building opportunities.

I envision a cliff could look like the inside of a ravine, but... not underground, I suppose.

The ability to control how often ambient sounds can play (and how rare they are)

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 01:18 PM PST

Ambient cave sounds scare the crap out of me whenever I hear them, but I don't really want to turn them off. So I think that we should be able to make them occur less often (or more often if you're that kind of person). Also, as a bonus, we should be able to control underwater sounds and cave sounds separately.

    Soul Fluid

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 04:20 AM PST

This would be a new liquid that generates in 1.16's soul sand biome(s). It would extinguish you if you were on fire, but also give you Wither for 5 seconds, continuously refreshed until you left. If the source block is placed on soul sand, it spreads as far as water in the overworld. If placed on anything else, it spreads like lava in the overworld. It can be picked up in a bucket. It does push entities like water does. I know that Mojang has stated that they will not add any sort of bodily fluids, but I do not think this counts, as it is something that has no real-life equivalent, and would likely not be generated from the physical body anyway.

New Rideable Animal : the Warg

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 10:39 AM PST

The Warg is a huge wolf, usually leading a pack or wondering alone in the woods. It's a terrifying neutral mob, but it will be very useful if you manage to tame it.

    Spawn and Behavior :

Wargs can spawn naturally in Forests, Taigas, and all their variants, just like wolves. They will either spawn with a pack of wolves following and protecting them, or by themselves, as a lone Warg. Lone Wargs can also spawn in Tundras and Savannas.

Pack Wargs act like wolves, becoming hostile when you hit a wolf in a certain radius around them.

Lone Wargs do not react to wolves being attacked, but will become hostile if a player stand in a 16 blocks radius around them for too long, and they will automatically become hostile if a player gets too close to them. They growl to warn players to get back.

Wargs hunt the same mobs as wolves, but they have the ability to pounce at their target, very much like foxes. Tamed wolves will not attack Wargs in any circumstances.

Wargs have 40 Health (20 hearts), and deal 4, 6, and 8 damage (respectively in Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulty). They move faster than wolves.

    Taming and Riding :

When reaching 10 HP, Wargs will stop attacking and start growling. At this point, you can feed them any Raw meat (Beef, Porkchop, Mutton, Chicken or Rabbit) to make peace and tame them. When tamed, Wargs will wander around the point where you left them.

They will attack any mob that hits you, but not follow your orders. Tamed Wargs deal 4 damage in any difficulty. They cannot be healed through food, but are slowly regenerating as time goes by.

With a saddle, you can ride tamed Wargs. They run at 6 m/s, and sprint at 9 m/s (compared to the player's running speed : 5.6m/s). Sprinting consumes stamina, and Wargs can sprint for a maximum of 10 seconds. Fully recovering their stamina takes 10 seconds without sprinting.

Wargs are only 1 block large and 1 block tall. They can jump 2 blocks high. They are very helpful to travel through dense forests, but are rather slow in moutain areas.

    Drops :

Wargs drop 4 Thick Fur when killed, which can be crafted into a complete set of armor. The Wolf Armor provides as much armor as a complete iron set, but, when wearing the entire set, grants you Speed and Jump Boost as long as you're wearing the armor. It also looks really cool.

Wargs are meant to provide a new daytime challenge, as well as a new transportation method for exploration. What are your thoughts on that ?

Roasting cactus would give roasted cactus, a new food.

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 07:34 AM PST

You could then craft that into green dye. The cactus would restore 2 hunger.

Bushes with medicinal leaves. Can be turned into medical cream which restores health without restoring hunger.

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 10:34 AM PST

I blatantly stole this idea from Dragon Quest Builders.
Having an item that heals you without affecting your hunger bar is incredibly useful, in my opinion.

    Lava Alligators

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 03:14 PM PST

idk I thought this would be kinda cool.

So your in the Nether and you decide to get a bucket of lava. When you approach the lake of liquid fire, suddenly a huge lizard with razor sharp teeth jumps out of the lava! He has red scales all over his body and the tip of has a small, torch like flame on it. You run away and soon enough the alligator slowly slides back into the lava, only the back of the alligator can be seen as it swims away in the distance.

Increase the blast resistance for furnaces and other cobblestone or stone related contraptions

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 05:33 AM PST

I was looking on the wiki and realized that blocks like the furnace, observer, blast furnace, dispensers, etc. have less blast resistance than regular cobblestone. That doesn't seem to make much sense because these blocks are largely made of cobblestone, or in the case of the furnace, 100% cobble. Why not increase the resistance to that of cobblestone, which is 30? This could really help some people that are planning to live in the nether for the upcoming nether update and are worried about ghasts. I'm not saying that all objects that are made from cobble or stone/hard materials have higher blast resistance (like the smoker which has a bunch of wood, or the beacon which has a lot of glass) but for stuff that are made largely of, or completely of tougher things.

    TNT variants based on ingredients.

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 12:27 PM PST

Variations of the normal TNT based on different potion ingredients or different items, crafted by replacing some of the gunpowder in the typical TNT recipe.

For example: Glowstone dust to create flare like TNT, lighting up an area for a limited time.

Blaze-powder and/or fire charges, creating napalm like TNT which coats an area in fire. (On the flip side, maybe a water TNT as well to fight large.)

Supercharged TNT created by using the TNT recipe with TNT blocks instead of sand. With a visual difference, maybe a blue design similar to the way supercharged creepers have blue effects.

    Clouds make shadows

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 05:49 AM PST

A simple calculation for the angle, and size of the the shadow.

It wouldn't be a a super dark shadow, but noticeable enough to add some variation to the landscape.

Toggleable in settings. Wouldn't work if clouds are turned off for obvious reasons.

Baked apples! They three hearts of hunger and can be made with a furnace, smoker or campfire.

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 10:32 AM PST

I like the idea of preparing a food to have it heal or restore slightly more than it already does. And being able to prepare it on a campfire makes it ideal for nomad style exploration.

    Dead Bush overhaul

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 05:56 AM PST

Currebtly dead bushes are kibda useless, only spawn in mesa and deserts and they only drop 1 or 2 sticks when broken without silk. So how about making them slightly more useful of decoration.

You could plant a normal sapling on sand and after a few seconds/minutes it could turn into a dead bush with a similar colouration of the sapling used. The new dead bush would also have a few leaves left on their branches you can remove when you right click it with a shear. Breaking an Oak dead bush with leaves has also an extremly low chance of dropping an apple.

Also with the ability to plant trees in sand I would suggest being able to grow them in sand if there isba water source block in a 7 block radius

Make village farming market actually work

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 05:51 AM PST

Right now the villagers market is never used why don't we change that. For example now villagers will all show up in the market at a certain time and
And they will trade each other seeds, tools, and their daily trades also the a wandering trader will always appear in a special stall and start trading. My favorite part of this is I believe that a new villager typ would come there called the bard. The bards work station is a note block and would go around the town market and play music on a flute making other villagers happy and making them do a dancing animation. The board would also trade note blocks, music discs, and a flute that that makes sounds. Then at night they will all go back to sleep.

    Baby vindicators

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 09:18 AM PST

Why not? With the addition of raids it would be a nice challenge to have small little devils involved in them. And they don't have to be breedable if the nbt tag is "IsBaby" similar to a zombie. It'd be fun to see the evil kiddos in raids or mansions!

    Totem of Pillagery

    Posted: 11 Nov 2019 11:37 PM PST

As it stands right now, once you take down a pillager outpost, pillagers will continue to spawn around the building, which doesn't really make sense. I have an idea that in the middle of the tower is a totem in an item frame called "Totem of Pillagery". This totem can be removed, and when removed, pillagers will no longer spawn in or around the tower. Wherever the totem is, in your hand, in your inventory, in a chest or in an item frame, pillagers will frequently spawn around. This could be used for some creative mob farms and if you want to live in a pillager outpost you can without constantly being bombarded by pillagers by removing the totem. The totem can be burned or destroyed in any way an item in destroyed to stop pillagers from spawning.

    Gold Lanterns

Literally the same as regular lanterns except for they look golden and they use gold nuggets instead on iron nuggets in crafting recipe.

    Crown

    Posted: 12 Nov 2019 06:00 AM PST

The crown would be a new piece of armor that makes you a king of sorts. The crown could be crafted with 5 gold ingots and a diamond. When you put crown on iron golems will follow and protect you and attack enything that you attack or attacks you. And you will get hero of the village when it's on the crown doesn't do much protection. But if villagers when you got iron golems protecting you you got no use for armor

    Broken ender chests

    Posted: 11 Nov 2019 04:58 PM PST

When mined by something not silk touch, an ender chest becomes just 8 obsidian, which is what you used to craft it, minus the eye of ender.

I think that it should instead drop a broken ender chest. Broken ender chests aren't those safes that make it so no other player can ever access your loot. They're the opposite, in fact.

Broken ender chests are shared with everyone on the world, and have twice the storage space. This could be exploited, but only on single player, and to be honest Minecraft is more fun played with a friend or two, I don't think anyone would argue that. In appearance, broken ender chests should be maybe a heavily red or white tinted ender chest?

Anyway, I think this should actually be separate and not dropped from an ender chest, but I cannot think of a way to get it otherwise. Maybe if using fortune 3 it'd have a %15 chance to drop instead of obsidian to make it more fair? Besides that, I can't think of a way to introduce it.

Broken ender chests have a lot of uses normal ender chests don't. Their storage is not unique to individual players, meaning it works as a way to instantly send an item to someone who has the chest. People who are rarely on at the same time can share loot or give back something they borrowed from the other player. Normal ender chests still have their uses, you probably wouldn't want everyone having access to whatever is important enough to put in a chest nobody else can take from but you. So the broken ender chest is for easy "cloud storage" sharing, basically. It has the same universal storage concept, but everyone sees the same thing when opening the broken ender chest. The reason for it having double the storage space is pretty simple too, 27 items for one person is a lot more than 54 for an entire server or realm of players.
