Posted: 16 Jan 2021 03:40 AM PST This advancement could be used when putting 2 snow blocks on top of each other and a carved pumpkin, when you do this, you get a snow golem. I think it would be cool (pun intended) that they would add this advancement cuz the player is supposed to be building a snowman and it turns out to be alive. thanks for reading my small idea :) P.S It could also be called, [Mom, the snowman just walked!] [link] [comments]

Posted: 16 Jan 2021 06:12 AM PST To simplify put it, this would make it so that you can dye elytra into different colors, and even make special pattern when combine with other items. Patterns: Since you can imagen the base dye colors ill just list the unique ones. Phantom Wings-Combine blue dye with a phantom membrane to make the elytra appear as their wings. They would also make those particles from their wings when you fly. You can also make the "Red Phantom" wings by using red dye instead of blue. Dragon Wings: To make dragon wing elytra you will need black dye and a dragons head. When worn they would appear as the ender dragons wings and would flap when flying. It would also increase the elytra's durability by 50%. Vex Wings: To make vex wings you will need soul sand and grey dye. When worn they would appear as the wings on the vex. When you are invisible you would be able to pass through one block walls with the wings on. Wither Wings: To make wither wings you will need a wither skull, a bone, black dye and soul sand. When worn they would appear as black bone wings with soul fire in between the wings fingers. When flying they would also make the soul speed particles. Chicken Wings: These would appear as the wings on the chicken, same size as they are on the chicken, they would also give you slow falling at the cost of durability. [link] [comments]
The vines on Iron Golems should show their age Posted: 16 Jan 2021 12:59 PM PST Alright, I know what I'm about to say is somewhat minimal and would make almost no difference in the grand scheme of Minecraft, but its just something that would make me very happy. As you know, part of the current Iron Golem texture is that they have vines growing on them, which is something I really like, it helps show that they've been with their villagers for a very long time. However, what I don't like is that no matter what, all iron golems have exactly the same amount of vines. Even if you yourself create them, they'll have vines growing on them immediately, which doesn't really make sense. I propose that iron golems should have 4-6 stages of vine growth. Stage 0 would obviously have no vines, while stage 6 would be almost entirely covered in them. If an Iron Golem were to spawn naturally in a village, I think it would spawn at a random stage of vine development, however, if you create an Iron Golem yourself, it will always start with its vines at stage 0. As for how fast they would age, I'm thinking at around the same speed as copper ages. That's all I have to say, thank you for reading! [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jan 2021 01:22 PM PST I think sandstone is a nice block, yet it's very limited to two colours- beige and orange. These colours are very light and won't work in many builds/themes. Soul sand is a nice, dark brown and I think it would look good in sandstone. Maybe Soul Speed could work on this block too. [link] [comments]
Faster Eating When You Have Hunger Posted: 16 Jan 2021 12:50 PM PST It would be a small yet big change, if a player were to eat rotten flesh in a battle they would get hunger, disadvantage right? Wrong , the player would be able to eat other foods and chug potions at a faster rate. Please tell me what you think. [link] [comments]
Wooden Crates, the Storage method of the engineer Posted: 16 Jan 2021 03:22 PM PST I know, I know, we have shulker boxes. "We don't need crates". My goal here is to change that mindset. Crates would be a storage/decor block similar to a shulker box, aside from a few key things.
Crate Crafting Recipe
Crates can be made of any type of wood. Crates would be useful in many ways, to many types of players. The builder, for decorating docks and warehouses. The redstone engineer, for an interesting way to transport items. The miner, for those long expeditions in mineshafts. Any other Ideas are welcome. [link] [comments]
Some boss-music for both the Ender-dragon and the wither. Posted: 16 Jan 2021 05:30 AM PST Perhaps the Enderdragon theme could be an intense version of Sweden, feeling like a climactic end. I have no idea for the Wither though. I'd like something that sounds "corrupted" though. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jan 2021 07:31 AM PST Today I was sailing on my boat in search of the desert, because I needed sand in large quantities, and certainly the inventory alone would not be enough. So I'm wondering, why not add a crate to the boats? I mean, why does the mine cart have one and not ships too? In my opinion it would also add a nice aesthetic touch. sorry for my bad English [link] [comments]
Punching a cactus without tools hurts you Posted: 16 Jan 2021 07:37 AM PST If you aren't using any tools and you punch a cactus, it hurts you. the damage is the same as if you rubbed up against it but just at a slower rate. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jan 2021 01:22 PM PST The Crafting Table is one of the oldest blocks in the game, it has gotten through multiple name and texture changes but one thing seems to never change. The underside. The underside of a crafting table is a boring, ugly wooden plank and does not fit with the current texture at all. Please change this, I know it's minor but it really bugs me. Posted: 16 Jan 2021 10:58 AM PST As we all know, curses in this game are more of a joke than anything else. We currently only have two, and it's easy to forget that they exist, because they don't do much other than slightly annoy the player. I suggest buffing and adding curses and making a way to remove them, so we can really integrate them into our games. How to gets curses I think the way you can curse items should be tweaked a little bit. It's fairly uncommon; you can get them on a enchanting table, End city loot, or by fishing. I suggest that the items can also be cursed when you get killed by a witch. The witch picks up one item, contemplates over it, and then curses it. I think this can be another way to grind XP, if you remove the curse. You can also find cursed items in witch huts. But what curses would you get in the first place? A list includes: Vanishing: Disappears when you die, but also use up more durability when used. Binding: Now has more durability than normal. If you have an empty armor slot and you pick a Binding piece of armor, that piece of armor automatically goes into that armor slot. New curses: Conductivity: Only on armor, this curse increases the chance of you getting struck by lightning. Leeching: This curse can be placed on any equipment(tools and armor). When used, it gives you the hunger effect, and also repairs itself. When paired with Vanishing, it loses durability faster than it regains it. Milk buckets do not effect the hunger status Speed: Randomly gives you Speed IIII, and uncrouches you. Only on boots. Gravity: You can't sprint or jump, only on boots. You also sink when you try to swim. However, you can still fall off ledges. You fly slower and dive more frequently when flying on elytras, and you ride slower on animals. It doesn't effect boats and mine carts. Disappearing: You can only have this item(any equipment) in your inventory for 10 in-game days, then it disappears. There is a timer telling you how much time you have left. The timer doesn't go down if it is in a chest or armor stand. How to remove curses Now that we have infuriated most of the Minecraft community and made others cry in a corner, we should have a way to remove the curses. A very popular idea is to have a maxed cleric able to un-curse items, and that's a great idea. It costs maybe 32 emeralds and remove all the enchantments(beneficial or otherwise), and gives you one level's worth of XP. They do not repair the item. The prices does drop or rise based on Hero of the Village, hurting the cleric, or curing them from being a zombie Advancements/achievements: <A Shocking Experience>: Get struck by lightning while wearing armor with Curse of Conductivity <20,000 Leagues>: Get dragged down to Y-25 or below with Curse of Gravity <Double The Results>: Have both Mending and Curse of Leeching on an object <Bewitched>: Wear a pair of boots cursed with every curse in the game <Good As New>: Have a maxed cleric remove curses from an item [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jan 2021 08:40 AM PST Title. I found out that you can attain Chorus Flowers in vanilla survival with silk touch, so I thought a Chorus Flower in a Flower Pot would look nice. Instead of soil in the base, the texture would change to End Stone; if the base wasn't covered like cactus in a Flower Pot. It would be like the Dead Bush sprite, spreading out into a little Chorus Plant. It was just a curious little Idea I had that I think would match a lot of builds well. [link] [comments]
minecraft.net should keep the amount of copies sold count Posted: 16 Jan 2021 12:17 PM PST A very little suggestion, but back when the old website still existed, it had a copies sold count, which was cool. I would want it to be on the current website. Maybe more things too to make it more fun. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jan 2021 09:41 AM PST Dungeons are a fun little thing to find in Minecraft, they're simple and feel rewarding to kill some foes in and take some loot. Although, they were the first structure to add into Minecraft and don't have much to offer. Pretty much everyone has pondered the idea of revamping these little rooms but honestly I'd be sad to loose such a simple yet effective little thing, rather, I think we can have a new structure: A dungeon complex! A dungeon complex would pretty much just be a larger, more intricate dungeon, with more chests and all naturally spawning overworld spawner blocks. These larger, rarer, yet faithful dungeons could be randomly assorted into spawner rooms, labyrinths, and loot jackpot rooms, and can help bring back some dungeon crawler feels to mining. Posted: 16 Jan 2021 08:21 AM PST Craftable iron golems aren't very useful. Sure, they are nice when fighting a raid, but are very expensive and tend to wander off or get stuck and die. And, if you ever mistakenly punch one, you have to kill it. I propose a few simple changes to make them more useful. Originally, I thought of using them like dogs. They would follow you around and fight mobs and players for you. But that seems a little to powerful and not in the theme of a golem. The goal of the golem is to protect a village, or kill mobs. So the changes to the golem make them more useful, but still a protector. First, a crafted golem will never attack you. You also can't deal it damage with a weapon or fist, and your pets won't attack it either. This stops the very annoying misclick that causes golems to aggro you. Next, when a golem is spawned normally, it will follow you. However, it cannot teleport like a dog. But, right clicking it with a lodestone compass will cause it to go the the lodestone that the compass is linked to. It will then wander a thirty block area around the lodestone, and attack any mobs that get in the area. If you are attacked by another player in that thirty block area, the golem will attack and try to slay that player. This makes the golem more useful, but not overpowered. It also adds another use for the lodestone, which is currently fairly underpowered. [link] [comments]
if you throw an ender eye within 10-15 blocks of an empty portal frame, it fills in the frame Posted: 16 Jan 2021 03:46 PM PST weve all been in that scenario where we only have just enough ender eyes to fill in the portal, and then ya accidentally misclick. well thjs fixes that, by allowing it to be filled in from the air. this would make sense seeing as how the eyes are attracted to the stronghold [link] [comments]
Should a construction update be the next update? Posted: 16 Jan 2021 08:20 AM PST What if Mojang added an update to Minecraft that added different variants to every block type? For example, slab/stair, colored, chiseled, and brick versions of every type of construction block. What if they also added vertical slabs, or even quarter blocks, which were an eighth of the normal block size, for more detail? They could also add completely new blocks, from natural materials found in the earth. I know this stuff is something you'd find in mods, but it would just become so much more easy and accessible if it was added to the base game. So what does everyone else think? Posted: 16 Jan 2021 09:23 AM PST If you click on a cauldron with a honey bottle, then the cauldron will start to fill up with honey. This has a few uses...

Posted: 15 Jan 2021 09:31 PM PST I have some ideas for changing how your elytra looks and also changing how it works. These are made by surrounding an elytra with a certain item in crafting grid. Phantom elytra: Looks like phantom wings and made with membrane. Makes you fly slowly but you can stay in the air for a lot longer and do fast dives like the phantom mob. Made with phantom membranes. Feathered elytra: Made with feathers. Looks like white bird wings and will give make you fall slowly and you glide better. Rocket boosts are not as powerful though. Dragon elytra: Looks like dragon/ender dragon wings and could be made from a new item called dragon scales dropped from a new dragon or the ender dragon. Gives armor but only provides chainmail level protection to keep it balanced. Rocket elytra: looks like jetpack and made with fire charge or rockets. not good at basic flying and gliding but rocket boosts are a lot more powerful. Bat elytra: made from possible new bat drop, looks like bat wings, makes you go super fast but you have less control like minecraft bats. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 Jan 2021 04:44 AM PST Yes, I know the title sounds a bit cringy, but I think it might genuinely be a good idea. In a certain type of cave, you should be able to look up and see a horde of bats sleeping on the ceiling, and if you break too many blocks or make too much noise they will collectively fly towards you, I am aware that this is similar to the skulk sensor, but It will finally give a use to the bat, I propose that when they fly towards you, you will get a host of negative effects, like blindness and poison, and perhaps some others, I firmly believe that this will add a lot of fear and surprise to the caves and I personally think it would be a good idea for the future of the game. Unique Enchantments for Crossbows: Sniping Posted: 16 Jan 2021 12:46 AM PST This is a unique enchant for crossbows that'll be the "Power" enchant for them, but instead of a boring damage increase; the damage will increase the farther the target is, here are some rough details about them:
Crossbows always have felt underpowered for most players even with max firework arrows so hopefully, this can have some use in both PvP and Survival. [link] [comments] |
