Posted: 13 Nov 2019 10:09 AM PST You can go into settings and make a custom difficulty mode with settings like this DAMAGE MODIFIER: 25%_____|500% Boss damage modifier: 25%__|_500% (You get the point as far as the bar goes) But anyway, from a scale of 25%-500% you could change various stats to gain in depth control over the gameHunger deterioration Healing speed Mob health Boss health Spawning rates Various 1-100% percentage modifiers would exist to increase or decrease probability of eventsChance of taming a horse Chance of spiders spawning with potion effects Chance of bonemeal growing something You could even go into the settings of specific mobs and change their likelihood of a specific drop to lower or higher amounts Some yes/no type of questions can be enabled as wellCan zombies break doors Zombies can summon reinforcements Does shifting stop you from falling Does sprint disable left clicking Can you sprint while eating Do you take fire-damage after you step out of the source Can poison kill You can enable your custom difficulty by going to the difficult settings and selecting custom difficulty. How would you access the settings:You would access the settings in difficulty with a menu like this Opening it would give you various settings, like this. Obviously it would look more polished but this is the approximate look and feel of them [link] [comments] |
New Advancement: Family Reunion! Posted: 13 Nov 2019 10:56 AM PST Family Reunion is a challenge advancement that is activated when you, and all zombie variants, are within a single chunk. The list of zombies to get is as follows: • Zombie • Baby Zombie • Zombie Villager • Baby Zombie Villager • Drowned • Baby Drowned • Husk • Baby Husk • Zombie Pigman • Baby Zombie Pigman Any other zombie (chicken jockey, zombie horse, or giant) are ignored for the advancement. The reward for this task would be 300 experience, because it takes quite a bit of preparation, like having access to the nether for example. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Nov 2019 09:07 PM PST Just joined this sub so I'm not sure if this has been suggested yet but what if we had civilizations that spawned in the caves. Kind of like villages but with holes dug out of the cave walls. I put it as mob because what if, like zombie pigmen, they were peaceful until provoked? Like if you steal things from their chest or something they get aggressive. It would also create an awesome opportunity for another throwable weapon like spears! Edit: flair changed to encourage people to suggest their ideas in the comments! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Nov 2019 11:16 AM PST In 1.16 if soulsand is set on fire the fire will be blue. Purple is kind of The End's color, so it would make sense if any colored fire was to be added for it to be purple. This would be a nice atmosphere building detail and would add to the whole "different colors of fire on different blocks" thing. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Nov 2019 08:49 AM PST A leather block is a block that can be dyed in anyway, like leather armor. It would help for pixel arts and be a very useful decoration block. You can combine dyes on it to make darker or lighter colors. Crafted with 9 leather. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Nov 2019 04:35 AM PST Mojang has said that palm trees are coming to the game some time, so I think they should spawn on tropical islands. There would be two types of tropical islands: Small and Large. Small tropical islands would be tiny, made of mostly sand and a bit of grass. A few palm trees would grow on them. Large tropical islands would be much bigger. The perimeter of the island would be mostly sandy beach, and farther inland would be covered in a small forest of jungle trees and palm trees with stone mountains rising up in the center. Very rarely, the top of a tropical mountain will have a deep lava pool at the top, to simulate a volcano. Island templeOn large tropical islands there would be a chance to find a island temple. There would be a small temple with a courtyard decorated with statues. Inside the temple would be a few rooms that are mostly empty. However, In the central room, if a player pulls a hidden lever the floor would open up to reveal a spiral staircase downward. If the player goes down, they will find themselves in a room lit by lava that flows down from the walls and covers the floor. There would be some stone pillars a player would have to parkour (or just build) over to get to a platform in the center with a chest full of diamonds, emeralds, golden apples, and other valuables. I think sound clogging would be a cool idea. Posted: 13 Nov 2019 03:12 AM PST Well, to start off, we have a lot of sound in Minecraft already. I think that the coolest feature is the fact that if you are wearing headphone and look away left from the jukebox, it only plays in the left ear. But, the problem is that if you are far the sound just fades away. Maybe if we had a feature that if you are underwater or buried underground, the sound would be clogged and distorted. Mimic Chests in Minecraft, WATCH OUT!!! Posted: 13 Nov 2019 02:36 PM PST One in five chests that spawn in Dungeons, Strongholds, Mineshafts, and Woodland Mansions may be a Mimic. There will be three types: Normal and Armored. Normal Mimics will be in Strongholds, Dungeons and Mansions stay still until you try to open then, then they attack! They move like slimes, hopping towards you while snapping their jaws to bite you for 8 HP of damage. They are average at HP, they only have 20 HP. Don't worry if your trying to tell if the chest is a Mimic, real chests don't have little teeth poking from under the lid. Armored Mimics act like normal Mimics, but use the Minecart they are in like a helmet, with the same toughness as a full set of diamond armor, so be extra careful when finding one in Mineshafts. Defeating a Mimic would drop all the normal loot of a normal loot chest depending on the location, but also have a chance to drop a Mimic Soul, which can be crafted with a Normal Chest to make a friendly Mimic that won't store your items, but act as a friendly house decor, and also a trap for other players, and Piglins too if Mojang gives them the ability to open chests as a cosmetic feature. Posted: 13 Nov 2019 03:37 PM PST I'm back. Spiders. Five things. Begin. Spiders' eyes reflect their disposition at the moment. Blue for friendly, yellow for hungry (hostile to passive mobs), red for hostile/starved (hostile to players as well). Spiders will autonomously "eat" passive mobs and animals once a day/night, satiating their hunger and making them friendly. They love chickens, but in a pinch they'll go after pigs or even tamed wolves and cats! Protect your animals! Once a day spiders that are not hungry or hostile can be "milked" for poison/potion by right clicking them with a bottle. A fed spider will also once a day spin a cobweb in a 4x1 area around themselves. They will not do this if they already have a web. Two spiders per one cobweb. If a Spider is friendly it will instead have a 1/8 chance of giving your a beneficial potion with no additives (extended length or strength). Spiders can be fed, bred, and lead with cooked meats. Feeding does love mode, but that'll be discussed in the next section. It also instantly satisfies them without needing to sacrifice your animals, and a friendly spider will follow you when holding meat. Spiders lay eggs. They do this autonomously if alone, but if two Spiders are fed they will enter love mode and lay their eggs. They prefer earthy land to lay it on, but stone will work as well. Spider eggs can be collected with Silk Touch but this resets their hatch timer. They hatch after one day night cycle. And one other little detail: Spiders do it in the dark! The light level must be seven or less. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Nov 2019 09:25 AM PST My idea for this was inspired by the well known tale of the pied piper (although I decided it would be better to name this item flute to avoid confusion with the word pipe and make it more recognisable as an instrument). In a similar way to the legend this item's use would be to charm mobs around the player. To play the flute the player would have to hold use on the item while targeting a mob for 2 seconds, during this team not being able to attack or block. After this the mob would become passive towards the player for 2.5 seconds. After this the item would have a cool-down period of 10 seconds. This effect would not work on all mobs though, only ones with a low intelligence, for example wolves, zombies and skeletons would be charmed however mobs like the wither would not. Mobs in a medium tier such as pillagers would be passive for 1 second. During this time the mob would have a particle effect of stars around their head. The flute can be enchanted with 3 enchantments. Only one could be applied on a single flute though as otherwise it may become overpowered.
If used near villagers it would also have an extra perk. It would extend an effected villager's trading times for that day slightly as they are more resistant to overworking. This would use 3 of its durability however. It also has the bonus use of making tameable mobs, such as horses or parrots more likely to be tamed for the duration. [link] [comments] |
Honeycomb blocks only stink to honey blocks and slide against slime Posted: 13 Nov 2019 12:36 PM PST They would essentially be terracotta, but only for slime blocks, they'd be like normal blocks to honey. This would be pretty logical, and also add a new (albeit niche) tool for redstoners to use. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Nov 2019 10:22 PM PST They could be even unique flowers to certain height. There is never enough decorative things in minecraft, and the view would be amazing [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Nov 2019 08:39 AM PST Personally, I think 10 comment karma isn't quite enough, since people will still be incredibly inexperienced. If it was meant that as a means of preventing bot spam, then tell me that and remove this post I guess. I have 2 suggestions, one that should be extremely easy to implement, and one that will be a bit more difficult. The first idea is to simply raise how much comment karma you need. I personally think the number should be fairly high, but I'll say 100 for now. The second idea is a bit more complicated. People cant use other flairs besides the brainstorming flair until they have X post karma. X could be any number, I personally still think 100 (edit: I agree, 100 is way too much), but I'm open to debate. These changes are aimed to help make new users learn what each flair is for, and how detailed a post should be to have a specific flair. To defend the second idea, it seems that many posters are unaware of how the brainstorming flair should function. The second idea is to hopefully prevent new users from also making these mistakes. This is how I think the brainstorming flair functions, please correct me if I'm wrong. The brainstorming flair is for ideas that have a concept, but no fine details. Commenters help the OP develop these fine details, so the OP can make a new post with the same idea, but now with multiple details on how their suggestion would function. [link] [comments] |
Bedrock should do the Legacy Superman pose when using elytra! Posted: 13 Nov 2019 03:30 PM PST Legacy Consoles and older versikn of MC had this neat feature where when pressing the crouch button during elytra flight, players could stick out their hand like Superman would. Nothing serious, but if it was added there then perhaps it should still be a feature. [link] [comments] |
Ever accidentally killed your own pet? Posted: 13 Nov 2019 03:28 PM PST Pets likes wolves should recieve less damage from players that tamed them or perhaps other players. But for the player that tames them, accidentally killing your pet is a sad problem, so perhaps a small damage resistance from "friendly fire" should be a thing. [link] [comments] |
How can my ideas make their way into the game if I have been banned from the feedback site? Posted: 13 Nov 2019 03:23 AM PST Is it still possible for someone's ideas to make its way into the game if somebody is banned from the official feedback site? I know that MC devs aren't allowed to take suggestions from Reddit by European law, which to me is absurd. But if someone is banned permanently from the feedback site, then if the same person creates a new account, that account gets banned as well, similar to Fortnite banning aimbotters and cheaters permanently. I have some truly great ideas on here, like mud that I would love to see ingame, but can't because I got permabanned from the official feedback site. So I'm asking a question on this subreddit if it's still possible to make my ideas go into Minecraft without using the feedback site. [link] [comments] |
New Nether Mobs: Nether Vex and Jaws Posted: 13 Nov 2019 01:05 PM PST Since the Nether is getting reworked, I thought it would be cool to add the mobs the evoker summoned as permanent residents of the Nether. It would really reinforce the idea that the illagers are evil and dabble in black magic, summoning up mobs from the nether to the overworld. Nether Vex - Spawns in groups of 3 or 4 in the air, and are the same size as the player and zombies/other humanoids. They can't pass through walls like their tiny overworld counter parts, but hit much harder. They drop a special items, like their wings, that unlike elytras, slow your fall and therefor can negate fall damage until they break, serving as a parachute, but don't give you omnidirectional mobility, perfect for a midgame kind of armor, and can be repaired with phantom membrane as well. They could also drop other items, like nether quartz. Jaws are the evokers fang nether variant. These instead spawn in a new biome called Treasure Pits: Pits that have high amounts of ore and loot, but spawns jaws randomly through every block in that area, making them dangerous to traverse. Killing them in the short period where they are out in the open would give you their Teeth, which can be used to make throwing knives that can be tipped with potions and stacks of 8.
