| Hardcore Anarchy [Semi-Vanilla] [Anarchy] {Semi-Hardcore} Posted: 23 Jan 2020 03:22 AM PST Hardcore Anarchy ( www.hardcoreanarchy.net ) is an anarchy minecraft server where when you die, you will be automatically banned for 24 hours. There is an in game currency know as "revive credits" these credits allow you to respawn upon death without being banned, provided you have one. New players start out with 2 revive credits, therefore 3 lives before their next death will be a ban. This is to create a more intense environment (but one without the risk of permadeath) and makes deaths, no matter the manner, more impactful, giving your in-game life more value. There are no gameplay rules, you can play with hacked clients, steal, grief, exploit, and kill. However any attempts to lag, ddos, dox, damage, infiltrate, or take control of server hardware and/or software will be severely punished to the fullest extent of US/German law. We're a small near-vanilla survival server on the latest release. In order to show you what kind of server we are, Here's a small album of some of the builds done by us over the last few months. The server is hosted in Sydney, Australian, though we have members from pretty much all over the globe. The server is very inconsistent with the player count because of this. Sometimes we will go hours with nobody on and sometimes we will have 8 people on for a majority of the night. Server activity will mostly depend on what timezone you come from. The server comes with some game altering data packs. Since then we've had some ups and downs but generally it's been going great. Although the server has been up for some time now we've taken things reasonably slow. We have a great little community going but like with most servers over time, the active player count during times has started to die down a little so I'm looking to do another advertisement to try get some more mature, light-hearted and dedicated players. What does 97% Vanilla/Vanilla+ mean? From the start the goal has been to make the server as fun and enjoyable as possible while sticking to our Vanilla roots. This means adding as much content as possible without taking away from the core Vanilla experience. Of course all of this is hard to define exactly, but basically we want the server to feel like a Vanilla server with some cool extra features, but never a modded server that doesn't resemble Vanilla anymore. We always poll major updates and don't implement them unless the vast majority of players are happy. The current data-packs/plugins are as follows: - AFK Display (player's names will be displayed lighter on the tab list when AFK) - Multiplayer Sleep (only one player has to sleep in a bed to make it day time) - Anti Enderman Grief (prevents Enderman from picking up blocks) - Double Shulker Shells (drops 2 shells instead of 1) - Dragon Drops Elytra (the Ender Dragon will drop Elytra & Dragon Egg on kill) - More Mob Heads (adds a chance to drop heads from mobs on kill) - Player Head Drops (drop your head on death from yourself/another player) - Customizable Armour Stands - Silence Mobs (name a name tag 'silence me', 'Silence Me' or 'silence_me' and then use on Mob) - Coordinates HUD: use /trigger ch_toggle to activate - \*NEW*\** Blaze & Cave's Advancement Datapack (600+ Advancements added + Item/Trophy rewards) Plugins: - Dynmap (online map of our world) - CoreProtect (huge anti grief plugin) Paper JAR Alterations: - Per_Player_Mob_Spawns: True (this is to fix the shared mob-cap on multiplayer) Trophies Another neat aspect of our server is 'trophies'. Essentially they're renamed MHF_Heads or Custom_Heads that are given out for completing various difficult tasks such as completing all achievements, collecting all Mob Heads or for winning competitions such as the recent 2019 Christmas Building Contest. They're all purely cosmetic and offer no in-game advantages, think of them as just an extension of the More Mob Heads Datapack or as collectibles :-) The rules are mostly common sense but are as follows: - No Stealing - No Griefing - No Hacking/Cheating (any intentional abuse will result in a permanent ban) - No Harassment (don't be an asshole) - PVP is allowed but must be consensual - Please go at least 500 blocks away from spawn before setting up your base. Also make sure you don't build too close to anyone else's area - Minimum of 3 hours of playtime a week. This is to keep the active player count healthy and to make sure a player spot isn't being filled by someone who isn't overly interested in playing. Temporary exceptions are of course made for various reasons such as having a busy week or going on holiday etc. There's a few other rules regarding larges machines and restrictions on external mods being used that can be read in full after being accepted to the server :-) General Server Info: Physical Server Location: France (we have people from all over though) 8GB of RAM (hosted by AnvilNode) Currently being run on PaperMC 1.15.1 (latest build) The server will never be reset so if you're looking for a long term server, this may be the server for you. I've written 20+ in the title but I will consider anyone over 18 if your application stands out. The server has 2 very active Owners in different time-zones as well as 2 Admins so if there's ever an issue it should be able to be resolved very quickly (this has been the case so far). Although everyone has their own areas we're focused on building a strong community and already have shops and a little economy going which helps with further player interaction. We're just now starting to see our first big farms be built and big community builds go up so now is still a great time to join if you'd like to get in early-ish. Our overall goal is to make the server as fun as possible while sticking to our vanilla roots. We're looking for friendly people that want to build a hermit-like server and come together to have fun and build things. We're not looking to make it into a massive server, but we would like to build a community of active players that come together and create a fun world! Mainly Vanilla, the server does have some slight tweaks. One person sleeping, just for convenience sake. It is run off of a spigot/bukkit server. We are a few months established, with about 10 people on the server right now, but still looking for another 10-20 people. Once joining the server there are some rules, and things to note: The server is based off of an honor system, and you do have to pull your own weight. The server does run 24/7 Daily backups! We protect your builds and items! We allow farms, and afking, but make sure your farms have an option to be turned off, and have overflow protection, just so that the server runs as smoothly as possible. We have turned on some anti-cheat features built into paper to allow a vanilla feeling pvp experience. You will only be banned if you intentionally disrupt the infrastructure of the server. In the spirit of anarchy, you are allows to play however you want, whenever you want. Moderation will be little to none. Since we are so close to 1.16's release we will be considering re-generating the nether but other than that there will be no map resets. We hope you enjoy, and have fun. January 20th UPDATE: We are now accepting new player applications to become BUILDERS*!* You can get paid to work on server-managed projects, then use the money to get yourself set up on the server easily. Our shops have everything you could ever need, and the Scandic Build Corps is very generous to its loyal and active members. Scandic is a classic style PvP survival server with an emphasis on building. Even under the duress of mob and player attacks, we have always managed to build beautiful spawn areas.
