In the meantime, we have installed a plugin called ViaVersion which allows 1.15 clients to connect to our server. Though the 1.15 blocks are not obtainable, connecting with the 1.15 client allows for the performance boosts you'd get from the new release, like boosted FPS (on some computers) and easier takeoffs with elytra, despite playing on a 1.14.4 server. We hope you still consider applying! Project Nebula is a Hermitcraft-style SMP started by /u/Colinator007 and I. We love playing as a community and generally interacting with new people, which is why we started a server. Our community is tight, and very welcoming! ban land is a young server (roughly 6-7 months old) with a very simple premise: no rules no map resets no world border (up to the maximum Minecraft supports; which is ~30 million meters in any direction) extra/harder mechanics to make it interesting
There is a no spawn protection - rather, the remnants of a spawn platform. Players spawn within a set distance from 0, 0 on the X and Z coordinates randomly - 0, 0 is effectively the world center. After you join you can find others or venture out on your own.
WARNING: Because there are no rules, that means there is no moderation. As a result, there is no filtered chat and no censorship. Keep in mind you may see VERY unpleasant messages in chat or in game while on this server. If that does not sit well with you, please do not connect.
Q: Why should I play on ban.land and not another anarchy/chaos server? A: We are here to stay - permanently. This server will by funded out of pocket by administration ad infinitum. Builds will stand the test of time. History will not be erased. Rollbacks and/or downtime will be (hopefully) non-existent. Beyond the normal Minecraft gameplay, there are mechanics and plans to add spice to gameplay on ban land. The earnable title system on the server is the first small addition.
Q: Are there actually no rules? A: A more in-depth explanation would be that there are no rules within the gameplay space. This means that you may do as you wish within the game as long as it does not affect the outside world. In short, as long as you don't crash the server intentionally, harass players/staff outside of the server, or anything similar, you will never be banned. Hacking is definitively permitted. While there will be no punishment for doing so, hacking will be restricted with anticheat(s) as the administration sees fit to permit a level playing field. Exploits that become out of hand will be dealt with promptly, and mechanics may be patched as we go. Glitches like duping, getting on the roof of the Nether, and similar are also allowed. They will be treated the same as any other hack and may be patched or dealt with if they become an issue. Machines that cause lag are not disallowed in any way, but they may be disabled or removed by staff if necessary. Keep in mind that this is only if absolutely required - that is, the machine(s) or blocks are preventing you or others from connecting to/playing on the server. For things like large builds or things players may want to preserve, we will work with you to allow preservation/world exports before removal.
Q: Okay cool, but I am concerned about the longevity of this server. Are map resets truly never happening? How do I know you will be online in a year? A: We will continue to fund and support the server indefinitely until it is no longer feasible. If a situation were to occur where we can no longer operate it, we would give a long prior notice to the community. In the case of map resets - no, they are never happening. There may be points where the "original" map is temporarily replaced or put offline (Mojang changing game storage formats, bugs, fixes, corruptions, repairs), however it will always be the intention for the original map to remain. Regular backups will occur for the map as required.

We've spent literally hours looking for a decent server, but every server that we joined/found so far has a deal breaker or 2, either explosions don't affect environments, it's set on easy, has a million custom items, uses some weird land claims, one man sleep or is simply dead. What we're looking for is a simple survival server that has Mcmmo and Towny, is preferably set on Hard, a decent economy and has stuff like creeper explosions enabled with a server population of above 5, preferably 10-20 and a relatively fresh map. Me and my friends are fairly competitive, we enjoy grinding out stuff and of course building. Playing as a hermit is an extra challenge compared to other Survival servers, it is almost like, multiplayer RLcraft: Punch a tree? No, you need to get sticks from leaves, and make planks from sticks. Make stone tools? You need to get flint or bone to make primitive tools instead. Oh major buff recently: Stone will make wooden-equivalent tools now! OK I've got a primitive tool, why isn't this stone breaking? Primitive tools are junk, you need to hit it 1-10 times until it randomly breaks. Iron/Bronze/Steel/Diamond are better. Found some iron, why can't I smelt it? Uhh I could explain how to make Factories, but you'd probably better join a nation or trade some logs at this point. OK fine, let's make a boat and sail to a nation! No, you can't make a boat without several factories, but you can use /ott for a one-time teleport to join a group :) Benefits of a nation: Factories can make things quicker and cheaper than normal, and the basic ones aren't very expensive. A small group of players can afford the intermediate ones too. The guy who logged on to quickly gear up and go raiding can't do that; your new friends with an iron sword and leather armor can take him out. Easier to build and protect a secure vault, where PrisonPearl can store captured prisoners. Or if you get captured, being in a nation can help negotiate your release or free you in a war. We have gone through many changes, from Romecraft to Nations, it's all the same family. Dashrealms is a cooperative survival world, much like towny, but in a free-form way. Players are free to join any nation they see fit, or start their own in the vast unexplored wilderness. Trade with others, wage war or be a master of politics. Build an empire the likes of which the world has never seen. We're looking for fun, dedicated Minecraft players. Our server is owned and operated by adults on a personal server tower, but all ages are welcome.
