Minecraft Bi-Weekly Build Challenge #93: Market Posted: 15 Mar 2020 07:32 AM PDT LAST WEEK'S THEME: TREEHOUSEGoldThis build had it all: A great exterior, interior, just enough details and a fantastic landscape around it. Starting with the tree, I loved how simple it was but how it was still really well built. It wasn't elaborate or anything. A couple branches and a slightly varied canopy was all that it needed to look unique. As for the house, I loved how it didn't go too far off the trunk and stayed with the colour palette. That's what I feel these builds should usually do, blend in with the tree to not make it too out of place. Awesome build! SilverWell I never expected a build to be on its side this week but I really like how original this was. Not only that, but every part of the build was very well built. There were some great small details scattered in the build, like the dirt still being connected to the roots at the bottom, which helped elevate the build. It's small things like this, which people may miss at first that truly make a build good. Because, if you do happen to notice it, it makes the build that much better. Great build! BronzeThis build was a little crazy, with pieces going everywhere, and unlike first place where I mentioned the house blends with the build, this one stands right out in the middle. However, because the tree is so wild, this house doesn't seem out of place, because there's branches everywhere! I also found you included enough wood in your build to offset the other colours present, so it was a pretty charming home. The tree was still a little crazy though, with many skinny branches. Good job! Honourable mentions IntroductionLet's do some shopping! I personally always love markets on servers and how they evolve. Whether it's actual shops or small little boutiques, the variation of the builds based on what they're selling make me love wandering through them (and buying more stuff!). So let's build our own small market and hopefully sell some stuff! Happy building! Inspiration ChallengeMarket Construct a market. It should be a small pavilion or road with at least three shops on it. A small stall will count as one of these shops (so no pressure to build 3 large buildings). Each shop must be somewhat themed around what it sells. Rules
