Hookshot Crossbow enchantment - used & dropped by the Leader Pillager

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 06:42 AM PDT

Hookshot is a new treasure enchantment for the Crossbow only found equipped on Pillager Leaders (and dropped by them.)

When you shoot an arrow, it has a rope attached to it and it pulls enemies closer to you and has a chance to stun them for 0.5 seconds.

This would make Pillager leaders more different and challenging, since they can now pull you to them and stun you, if you're trying to hide from them in a safe spot

Upon death, witches have a low chance of exploding causing a lingering affect of a random negative potion. This is telegraphed by a slowed down witch laugh and the creeper explosion effect, and a sizzle sound.

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 07:13 AM PDT

This would add a bit of light-hearted goofiness to the Witches, as well as making them deadlier!

The explosion will not break blocks, and deals 6 damage (3 hearts)

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 01:24 PM PDT

When it snows, let snow slowly pile up, instead of only one layer. Like in real life, you could walk on snow, and you'd have to plow sometimes.

When it doesn't snow, it slowly melts to keep a balance. Thus, the entire forest will now be smothered in snow.

Will add more difficulty but also more life to snowy biomes!

(Side-suggestion: Normal taigas will snow as well as snowy taigas, but much much much less snow will pile up and will still melt.)

    Hero Medallion

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 09:17 AM PDT

In the latest bedrock beta, the Hero of the Village effect is received by completing a raid. But what if the effect could be received as per the player's convenience?

Instead of getting the effect, you would get the Hero Medallion on completing a raid. You can right-click it to consume it and get the Hero of the Village effect as per your convenience.

    Creepers & Potion effects

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 01:15 PM PDT

this idea has several variations to the concept, but all are equally useful and terrifying.

    1. If a creeper is effected with a potion effect, when they explode they leave behind a lingering potion effect, increasing in strength and duration in normal and hard mode.
    2. If #1 is true, in hard mode when a afflicted creeper detonates, they may rarely leave behind "Potion powder," a gunpowder-like item that can be used in a potion stand to directly transform an awkward potion into a random splash potion, biased towards negative effects. this would be an exclusive way to make potions of nausea, levitation, and blindness (forget if blindness is already craftable or not)
    3. Creepers may spawn with a potion already on them, such as speed or jump boost, to make them more of a threat against better geared and experienced players.

This is all for now, feel free to add more suggestions or additions to the list in the comments

Gloomstone: weakened version of glowstone (with concept images)

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 11:52 AM PDT

    Introduction

Glowstone is a brittle rock found in the Nether dimension with luminous characteristics. What causes its glow?
We can´t be sure, but it must be some kind of radioactivity or chemical reaction, releasing energy as light.
This, however, cannot last forever and, after hundreds of thousands of years, its glow has diminished greatly.
At this point the stone is no longer called glowstone, but has a more appropriate name of gloomstone.

    Appearance

Gloomstone has a texture similar to glowstone but reddish-black instead of yellow.

    Generation

Gloomstone is generated in the Nether in a similar configuration to glowstone, but rarer and possibly only at certain y-levels.

    Properties

    • Transparent block;
    • Blast resistance slightly higher than glowstone;
    • Emits a light level of 7 (open to discussion);
    • Drops 0-1 glowstone dust (gloomstone dust if you have a good idea for what it could be used for);
    • The rest is the same as glowstone.

    Mob Variants (Nether)

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 05:41 AM PDT

HellSpawn ( zombie ): these creatures will be passive until attacked the hellspawn will chase after you they will turn the ground beneath them to magma blocks they'll have twice the health of a normal zombie and will call on the help of pigmen

Stalkers ( creeper ): stalkers have a massive range of vision. once they see you they will slowly stalk you until they reach you and explode now stalkers don't deal damage with the explosion it simply does tons of knock back

Lava Titan ( spider ): these massive spiders exist near lava and once disturbed they will launch out at you and set you on fire. they wont have much health but will be quick and deal plenty of damage

    Hookshot item

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 01:57 PM PDT

This item uses arrows to pull entities to you from a distance. The arrow itself doesn't do damage, but tipped arrows will still give its effect. This can be used tactically for many situations. Maybe you can use an arrow with invisibility to pull your friend out of danger. Maybe you can use a poison arrow to pull enemies and finish them off somehow. Or maybe something dumb like creeper fishing :p The projectile protection enchantment will reduce the pulling power of hook shots being used on you.

    More food, and food buffs!

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 03:48 PM PDT

So, we already have golden apples, why not apply this to new and existing foods at a smaller scale? Add foods like corn, eggplant, onions, and then have them give small buffs/nerfs when consumed. This would cause the want to find more things to grow, while also adding a dynamic to what you eat. Things like eating corn will increase bow damage, but decrease melee damage by X% for X amount of time.

Adding a Ambience and Decoration flair

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 12:52 AM PDT

A rather common situation that occurs on this sub-reddit happens when someone creates an idea that doesn't affect the base game. Either because the idea itself is aimed at being an ambience feature or focused on being a deco element it all most all ways brings the comment "but what does this bring to the game".

Just to help reduce what people expect from certain ideas and help explain some ideas focus at a glance these would help a lot.

    Villagers spawn with names.

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 07:58 AM PDT

A nice easy way to identify villagers other than appearance. This will also help give the villagers even more personality!

Three ways I can imagine this.

First, one pool of about 500 pre-generated names for every village biome type, each pool based off of names in real world locations, like Egypt-inspired names for desert villages.

Alternatively, villages spawn with one of many name pools that are based on various languages, both real and fictional. I prefer this take, honestly.

Second, random name generation. I don't know how it works, but World of Warcraft has it for character creation, and I enjoyed some of the names I got.

Third, Villagers spawn with names of randomly chosen players. If this is done, it should probably include an option to choose between this and either the first or second options for name generation, as well as a player setting to state whether or not a player allows their name to appear with villagers.

Ender Amethyst Ore and CRAZY USES (You won't believe no. 6!)

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 10:13 AM PDT

I think amethyst ore should be added to the underside of islands in the end. Amethyst is a purple variant of quartz.

While nether quartz is the game's light detector, I believe ender amethyst should represent the night and space. As nether quartz and amethyst represents opposite themes, they could be used together in interesting ways. Below is a list of crazy ideas to illustrate this concept:

    • Protective Charm: In real life amethyst is kept as a protective charm. In Minecraft it could be used to craft a charm that when held makes Phantoms neutral to you.

    • Motion Detector: They could be crafted with nether quartz, redstone and cobble to make a motion detector (like a long range observer for mobs.)

    • Pocket Dimension: Amethyst Blocks could be placed in a ring on the floor and an ender eye could be thrown above it to fly in and create a portal to a pocket dimension. The pocket dimension is simply an ender island (without amethyst ore) with a linked portal in the center made of bedrock. Aside from the occasional enderman there is nothing else here. It is just for building a secret base. It looks like the end minus from the creepy music.

    • Regeneration Crystal: A regeneration crystal is made from a diamond block with amethyst above and below. Mobs in a 6 block radius are healed for 1 heart every second. Conversely this means undead take 1 heart damage each second.

    • Redstone Router: Made with nether quartz, amethyst, redstone and smooth stone, the router is a component that allows two redstone lines to cross the same block without interference. Right clicking the component or powering the block it sits on will cycle between the redstone lines crossing over without interference, or the redstone lines turning left, or only turning right.

    • Attractor: Crafted with an amethyst block, surrounded by alternating nether quartz and redstone dust, the attractor becomes a sort of electro magnet or gravity well. Items and mobs will be pulled towards a powered attractor within a 4 block radius. The force is less than gravity so it will not pull things off the ground unless more than one attractor is used in the same area. This can be used to create rail guns for launching mobs or TNT, for creating more fatal fall traps or creating floaty houses.

This was a design for the monthly theme: Ores. This ore has been discussed before in these posts:

Crazy ideas aside, leave an upvote if you support ender amethyst. Leave a comment if you think I'm mental.

Zombies should have a chance to leave a severed portion of themselves to continue attacking you after they are killed by you

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 01:28 PM PDT

Zombies are pretty boring mobs so maybe this feature can make their fights just a little more dynamic; it would be cool if after you kill a zombie a limb or two will spawn and continue attacking you, this might be creepy and a little funny

The idea is that Zombies will have a small chance of respawning as of these

Hopping head: When the zombie is killed it will have a chance if spawning as a head, the head will hop after the player and when it's close enough it will leap n to the player and bite down, it will be attached to the player model and will continuous small amounts of damage until you either, jump and it falls off, or if you or another player hit it off by clicking on it

The crawler: this zombie will will respawn with no legs, it will slowy crawl after you and if it catches you, it will grab onto your legs and make you walk really slow, it will also bite you multiple times until you hit it and make it let go

The walker: This is when a zombie spawns back with only its legs, it won't make any noise since it doesn't have a mouth, and will walk after you slightly faster than a normal zombie since there is less weight, when it catches up to you it will kick you and do tons of knock back but not to much damage

So what do you guys think of this suggestion? Did I manage to make zombie fights potentially more fun? If there is anything u can do to fix the formatting or quality of this post please tell me

I gave each severed zombie a unique attack because I wanted to differentiate it from the slime since it also splits into different parts

I hope this post wasn't to long

    Purpur ore

    Posted: 10 Mar 2019 10:06 PM PDT

In a newer update I believe they should update the end with a new ore

It is in essence the material to make purpur everything and I also feel it should have more recipes such as

Purpur beetroot: So this might seem like a weird suggestion but foods like the carrot apple and watermelon even if used solely for brewing all have gotten a better varient and I think this should be expanded into beetroot

The effects: Would be 20 second of invisibility and would heal 2 hunger oposed to 1/2 hunger

And here is a neat use that would in courage people to get it purpur ore could repair any tool or weapon or armour for double the xp cost

Example I have a diamond sword that you can only repair with another diamond sword or some diamonds but you for some reason don't have diamonds but you have purpur yoh could use that instead for a added fee of xp

Ik that this is very similar to the post about getting endrite but if you read the posts we have different features

Cacti don’t delete items nearby, but it gives the item an NBT tag to deal a half heart whenever in the main hand or off hand.

    Posted: 11 Mar 2019 06:56 AM PDT

I dunno, you should call this NBT tag "thorns" or "pricks" or something.

I was going to post this to r/shittymcsuggestions, but now I feel more confident about this outside of satire, and I feel like it could be a proper game mechanic.

For the love of god, add “Repairing Tridents with Prismarine/Guardian-Related Items” to the FPS List!

    Posted: 10 Mar 2019 07:54 PM PDT

Now if you've seen my posts and are like "But... Tom... this goes against how you want Tridents Improved." I know. I honestly think that the Trident is just lackluster and needs ways for it to be improved, and part of the reason it had such a low durability and so little ways to improve it is because it's meant to be an option. With that said,

This whole thing needs to be put into the FPS List. I've seen it way too many times and honestly the Trident should be repaired with some new ore or something.

    Enchantment Ideas #3: Triple Shot

    Posted: 10 Mar 2019 08:34 PM PDT

This would be a Bow Enchantment That has 1 Level and can only be found via Treasure. Basically, when you shoot an arrow, it shoots two more behind it, sorta like a gun. However, this would conflict with Infinity and Punch.

I believe this should be added because for the longest time, the Bow has had the same exact Enchantments for years! It would be nice to see a brand new one for a change.

What do you think? Should it be added? Questions or concerns? Let me know in the comments down below!
