This event is a big deal for us, because it marks our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! We're going to make this event special, so we'd love you to join us and play! Project Nebula is a Hermitcraft-style SMP started by /u/Colinator007 and I. We love playing as a community and generally interacting with new people, which is why we started a server. Our community is tight and very welcoming! We are full of personable, interesting people, and I hope you give our server a shot. You'll meet lots of new, friendly people! About Us Colin and I are college students looking to play with new people! We're both engineering students and love to fiddle with redstone and farms; but we also love building beautiful structures and planning a nice base, and just generally hanging out and relaxing with some games. To improve server performance we've been running the latest builds of Paper MC because it has better chunk loading and is generally more stable than Vanilla. Rules The obvious rules with whitelisted servers, such as: Don't be a dick (aka: the Golden Rule ™) No griefing or stealing. Even if it's a small thing, at least notify the person with a sign or DM. PvP is allowed only with consent from BOTH PARTIES. If you keep pestering someone into PvP, that isn't consent; it's peer pressure. No hacked clients or client-side mods that provide an unfair advantage. Things like inventory tweaks, minimaps. and litematica are perfectly acceptable. Ask an admin if you are unsure. No slurs or offensive statements that attack someone's religion, gender, or other beliefs. This includes building hateful monuments as well. Discord and a working microphone are required. We obviously don't expect you to always hop into a voice channel whenever you play, but we value speaking to our players and getting to know them through voice chat! This community leans towards applicants that are 18+. However, this is not a strict rule, and we encourage everyone to apply, no matter their age. We base our whitelist decisions based on maturity rather than age, but simply prefer applicants that are a closer age to ourselves (which means 18 years and up). To put it in perspective, most of us are college students around our 2nd-3rd years. Due to the recent influx in players we've had, we are not accepting players under the age of 16, unless they are referred to us by another member. All of our server members are adults with adult things to do, so no one expects you to be online 24/7, or even every day. Here are some screengrabs of our beautiful server. Every continent is mapped out in our server for players to explore and settle on. The map is approximately 40k blocks wide (rectangular) so there is plenty of land for everyone! If you are anything like me I can imagine lockdown has got you bored and you need something to do! Well my server is a great server to just log on and play endlessly without even realising you've played that long! If you are also a fan of hermitcraft and have always wanted to be apart of a server like that, this is your best option! We have all the same datapacks as Hermitcraft aswell as /sethome, /warp,ect. Basic rules are Dont X-RAY! No other hacks please! Be friendly swearing is allowed just not at other players No stealing from shops (we have a land claim plugin so its impossible to steal from peoples bases I am re-opening this as our server (alike hermitcraft) has seasons! our first one was around a month (that was be the shortest season possible) and there are images attached for the kind of thing people built during that season. We average around 5/10 players online at all times but active hours of the day we can get around 10/15 players online (non afk)! We have admins that cover all time-zones so they can help you out with anything you need! :) We have anti-greif plugins including land claims (just make it so you can't break blocks, you can still enter houses) and all the plugins / datapacks on the server are very well made and easy to understand for everyone! This server is a very high end server with the hardware (specifics are at the bottom of the page) therefore there is minimal to no lag you will experience! We began around the start of March 2020. We ask that you be at least 16, but this is not a deal breaker. We have an active community with vibrantly personalities from across the world. Server information: Developing economy powered by Quests. Quests are regularly being updated to ensure they don't become repetitive. From this economy created by Quests, players have the ability to create there own shops or use admin shops which can be found in spawn or with /shop Grief prevention is on the server which ensures that your builds will be kept safe by the plugin. In addition, we also have more plugins in place to prevent grief and roll back in the case of a grief. The world border is set to 20,000 blocks from spawn (10,000 each way). This will be expanded with more players. There's a discord server (see above) where we actively keep the community informed of any developments, problems or updates to the server. The portal leading to this highway can be found by heading to 0X, 94Y, 0X in the overworld, by spawn. Though travelling down this highway greatly reduces your risk of being griefed, players should still distance themselves from the portals leading to the nether highway once they are back in the overworld if they wish to avoid griefers.
