I have been watching streamers on the Dream SMP lately and i am thinking how nice it would be to do something like that! Over the past few years we've been building the Euphoria community, but found it's very hard to find people who enjoy playing on a world for a long time. We're aiming to have seasons that last at least half a year, but preferably longer. So before i get into the details about our server, i'd like you all to know we are looking for long time members, people who like to be part of and interact with our community, and would like to be part of a long lasting minecraft server! ​ ABOUT EUPHORIA After having played together on a few previous servers, Ethan, Connor and myself (Kevin), decided to start our own server in the summer of 2017. We didn't really like the way a lot of other servers were managed, ranging from abusive admins to not wanting to share the world seed, or prohibiting some playstyles. At Euphoria people are free to play minecraft however they like to play it, with a few simple rules in mind or course! We publicly share the seed, so people are able to use 3rd party programs like amidst/mineatlas. We're also not bothered by anyone using some cheeky game mechanics like tnt duping, bedrock breaking, falling entity duping, etc! Over the past few seasons we've had members from all over the world, being able to play with minimal to no lag at all! Besides playing minecraft together, we are trying to build a community where people just like to hang out together in voice chat, and maybe play some other games as well! Quite a few of us really enjoy playing Among Us currently. ​ SEASON 5 Season 5 of Euphoria started about 2,5 weeks ago, and you could be a part of it! Sadly we have experienced quite a few issues with immature and underaged members in the past, so we are only looking for people who are 18 years or older! SERVER SPECS We have purchased a server from CubedHost, hosted in London, UK. Players from all over the world are able to connect and play without or barely ever experiencing any lag! We run PaperMC, mostly for the better performance, but we also have CoreProtect installed! We actually customize some of the settings in Paper, to make sure the game acts as vanilla as possible. CoreProtect tracks every interaction with the world by any player, this way we are able to easily prevent/restore any stealing or griefing! Other than this, we all get to enjoy the full vanilla experience!The seed we are using this season: 7379579498792760505. Feel free to check the seed out in a third party program like amidst, to get a better idea of the world we play on! ​ RULES - No stealing and griefing. - PVP is allowed if both parties agree to it. - Swearing/cursing is allowed, as we are all (young) adults. Things like Optifine, minimap, fullbright and Litematica are perfectly fine to use, as they don't really give you an advantage over other players. If you want to use any other mod that you are unsure of, please ask us! - We do allow the use of camera accounts (a second account in gamemode spectator), whether that is for potential recording/streaming, or just to give yourself a birds eye view of your builds! - Clean up behind you! Please don't leave any floating trees, creeper holes, a bunch of chests or any damaged terrain behind you! - Please keep up to date with our discord. This is the main tool we use to communicate with each other, and it contains a lot of info about everything related to the server! - Notify other players when you borrow or use their items. Put off switches (or have them default to off) on every farm possible, especially farms that drop xp or gather significant numbers of mobs. No alt accounts, exceptions of spec accounts for youtubers/streamers on a case-by-case basis. About the server Not much is explored yet on the map, plenty of unclaimed fortresses etc Well planned shopping district with a couple server buildings already built, and plenty of room for expansion on our huge mushroom island Shopping district (SD) has 3 major mechanics: the bazaar, player shops, and our buy and sell discord channel. The bazaar is essentially a set of rental units for short time sales, player shops are themed and long-term with restocking, and our buy and sell channel is for people to post needs/offers etc Anti-grief plugins and active staff to roll back any griefing damage/theft No pay-to-win mechanics Events, weekly riddles, movie nights and more; run by both players and staff :) Join us for our first season! We are a casual server and some of us are 20+ so we do have jobs and other stuff going on but if you are into having a calm place to hang out then I'm pretty sure you'll like us. Sometimes, we are able to get into some shenanigans but it's not crazy all the time.
