This Sunday, September 13, we are participating in a Hunger Games Anniversary Event with the Dominion SMP server!! In April we reached out to Dominion and invited them to celebrate our 1 year anniversary with us. Now it's time to celebrate their anniversary with them! Additionally, 1.16.3 was released yesterday! We will be updating to 1.16.3 in the new few days once we can do some testing to ensure the update is stable! We're hoping to acquire a few members who are eager to start a fresh new community together on a brand new world. We will be starting the server on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 8:00am EST with a world that has been pre-generated from (-10000, -10000) to (10000, 10000), giving players an enormous amount of space to build in. In honor of a large inspiration for the server, we are using the "Shadow Seed" of Hermitcraft Season 7. (See Xisumavoid's video for an explanation) We are looking for all types of players, from veteran redstoners to megalithic builders to brand new players, and everything in between! Community is a huge part of this server and we will be hosting a number of community events and contests throughout the long lifespan of the server. Participation is optional, but highly encouraged! Members are encouraged to build next to one another in what we call Settlements. Start a small town, or a sprawling city, or maybe just a tiny beach oasis! Of course, this is not required and members are free to build as they please. If you choose to start a settlement, pick a location, come up with a name for it, describe the general theme of the settlement, and then it will be added to the website! We aim to be a long-term close community with no intention of resetting the map. The world we are on currently is a few months old, but there is still plenty to do! We want players that will continue to be active, so if you plan on just hopping on for five minutes then leaving, please do not apply. On XMC, we run a server platform called Fabric. Fabric could be compared to something like paper, but without any of the game-breaking changes. We run Lithium for enhanced performance while maintaining the vanilla feature-set. XMC also runs Carpet, and a few datapacks. All of those can be found at https://xmcnet.work/features XMC takes daily downloadable cloud backups. You can request a download at any time. Part of our application process is hopping into VC and playing some games. Those can be on Minecraft itself or any other game. If you do not have a microphone or just do not enjoy talking to people, we can provide an alternate way. We also have a select group of active members that judge the applications. This allows the server to pick people that they think are properly fit for the server. As for our rules, we do have a few basic ones.
