Now you're here waking up on a deserted island. Not sure what to do, you look around to scavenge for some supplies. Hopefully you will be able to make it in the new and unknown world. As you follow the path of blood and trodden down grass you come upon an unfamiliar looking stone circle. This is where you will decide your fate and decide what nation you will be a part of. There seem to be four nations you can choose from all different from each other. You wonder what is in store for you in your new life. As a member of this new nation you must contribute and help defend your new home. Each nation is run differently, some look to war and raid as much as possible while others look to keep at peace. What will your nation decide? Breakdown Players need to join one of the four major nations. The Nations are run by a server admin, each nation may have their own set of rules for their nation that players must follow. However the nation laws can not go against server rules. These nations will be able to go to war with each other and make trade agreements amongst each other. These nations will have a predetermined area to build (as we expand we can make the nations and map bigger). Nations will need to set up their own area within their land for a player market area and/or minigames. Wars amongst the nations are bound to happen. Each nation needs to have a fortress that will be attacked during war. These fortresses will be the main area for war. Within the fortress your nation must hold at least 50% of its wealth (Nation Wealth refers to the taxes a nation collects from its citizens whether this be Diamonds or building materials). This wealth is able to be taken by an opposing nation. This is an incentive to go to war. Each nation is run differently based on the admins of that nation. SoftSlayer has been around for about 9 years now, with a pretty dedicated community that still plays a bunch of games together (obviously including Minecraft). Our server is small and pretty simple, it's a mostly vanilla atmosphere with a few things added like /home and /warps. Everyone is friendly and helpful with most things needed. I am going to add a plugin to make individual mob caps so that farms will actually work. The hardcore part is that if you die twice you are banned for 20 hours. Since it is fairly new, it might be down for a few minutes when nobodies online so i can adjust or install plugins. There is no griefing, cheating, or stealing. This is NOT an anarchy server. Get a paper and pencil to find out of the dungeon again. Speak to NPCs to get to other islands, get tips, find secrets, dungeons, quests, trading-opportunties etc. Besides that we try to build up a mature community that likes to get immersed in the world we built. The whole world is around 25.000 x 25.000. It's completely hand-built in a span of around 2 1/2 years now.
