Posted: 13 Jan 2021 01:20 PM PST I think it would be a fitting friend for disc-11 as another scary disk. It starts out as a beautiful but unsettling song and near the climax you hear a warden and what sounds like it smashing the record (and whoever was making it) only for the song to abruptly end. Obviously it wouldn't be directly said that they were killed but it would strongly imply it [link] [comments] |
If a charged creeper blows up the Ender Dragon, it will drop a Dragon's head Posted: 12 Jan 2021 11:12 PM PST I posted this on r/shittymcsuggestions but a lot of people told me to post it here. To be honest I have no idea how you could kill the Dragon with a charged creeper, but if you would it would drop a Dragon's Head. [link] [comments] |
Horses have zebra skins in savannahs Posted: 13 Jan 2021 04:36 AM PST It would make savannah biome more interesting, and if they do this, it wouldn't be first time for Mojang to make a biome specific skin for a mob. What do you think, would then horses and zebras in Minecraft be one single mob or 2 different species? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 01:06 PM PST In Minecraft, the lily pad is just a leaf on the water. In real life, it has a stem and roots. I'm not complaining about Minecraft not being realistic enough but it would be cool if lily pads had a non colliding stem that dangles below it about two or three blocks. If a pad isn't possible, maybe a pad stem block would work. This would have the benefit of giving the lily pad stem a customizable length for more shallow or deeper waters. It would also be nice if lily pads had variants. Stuff like blooming pads, pad clusters, and maybe even large leaves that span over multiple blocks. Control over a pad's orientation would also be nice. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 09:03 AM PST I really like building with stone bricks. But there is not really a fitting tree stem, nor a fitting pillar. Basalt is way too dark for stonebricks. So a piller version of stone bricks would look kinda neat. [link] [comments] |
Change "Wood" blocks to "Bark Blocks" Posted: 13 Jan 2021 07:17 AM PST I find it annoying how the block with the wood texture on all sides is just called "Wood". I feel like if it was changed to "Bark Block" (e.g. Oak Bark Block, Birch Bark Block, etc), because the bark texture is on all sides, would make more sense. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 07:20 AM PST So I was thinking that if a creeper is killed by a piglin it has a chance of dropping the pig step music disk. this is inspired by the game mechanic of a skeleton killing a creeper producing a music disk. I think that if a creeper is killed by a piglin it can drop every music disk+pigstep. tell me if you have any suggestions to improve this. [link] [comments] |
Let lanterns attach to sideways chains Posted: 13 Jan 2021 03:41 PM PST When you try to place lanterns under sideways chains, it works, but the lantern just floats there. The lantern does not connect to the chain, which is disappointing because I wanted to make a string of lights —————————————————— Link to feedback site: [link] [comments] |

Posted: 13 Jan 2021 03:43 PM PST Rainbows are meteorological events which can rarely proceed rain. They have a slightly greater chance of spawning after a thunderstorm. Not only are rainbows beautiful, but they are also functional. One end of the rainbow will point in the direction of a random, pre-generated structure containing loot. Villages and other common structures are excluded. These structures can be ruined portals, woodland mansions, ocean monuments... Rainbows are fleeting and only stay in the sky for a maximum of 90 seconds, and a minimum of 30. Get your bearings quickly, and prepare for a voyage! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 10:32 AM PST Fishing is an element of minecraft that I think has so much potential that hasn't been used. I think bait is something that would make fishing more appealing and helpful overall. So, first off, what would bait do? Bait could increase chances of catching a fish over junk or treasure and would act like temporary luck of the sea. Regular bait could be made by craft any seed and a fish, which would produce five bait. You could also create specialized bait for certain fish, like using honey comb for pufferfish bait or sweet berries for tropical fish bait. I think it has potential as a feature, and feel free to suggest alternate crafting recipes in the comments! [link] [comments] |
Combining Glowstone Dust and Sweet Berries should make the new Glow Berries from 1.17 Posted: 13 Jan 2021 02:57 AM PST This would add a lot more use to the Sweet berries added in 1.14, while also adding in more uses for Glowstone dust. [link] [comments] |
The Warped Barrens and the Chorus Forest: End Biomes Posted: 13 Jan 2021 07:50 AM PST The idea behind these biomes is that the End used to have a lot of life in it, and the reason why it's barren now is because the of the ender dragons reign of terror over the islands. The Warped Barrens is basically what the current outer end islands are now, but with a few notable changes.
This biome has been "warped" by the ender dragons toxic breath, but there are some places that managed to survive her reign of terror. The Chorus Forest is a more lush biome that contains the original Endermen and chorus trees, who were not warped by the ender dragons breath. This biome is much less common than the warped barrens, being made up of smaller and more broken up islands compared to the massive ones that compose the warped barrens. The original Endermen are a tall white people with red eyes that pride themselves in building and mining. They would spawn naturally in this biome, but they wouldn't spawn here exclusively since they would also spawn in stronghold like structures in every other biome. They are capable of building and dismantling, one block at a time, certain structures that are important to their self preservation. They are extremely fearful of the ender dragon and their warped counterparts and will flee from them. They are neutral to the player unless provoked. If you make eye contact with them, they will trust you, and then you can trade with them using the original ender pearl, which is red and I imagine could be mined as an ore or hunted for as a drop from a particular mob. The original chorus trees are a bright green and extremely thick and tall with many branches. We would get a new wood set from this tree, but the "leaves" of this tree would also have many unique properties. The "leaves" or this tree would have some of the properties of a slime block, and the original chorus fruit would hang from them. I'm not sure what the original chorus fruit would do, but it would certainly give better hunger and saturation than the warped chorus fruit. [link] [comments] |
new red stone component the grinder /shredder Posted: 13 Jan 2021 12:51 PM PST this devices is created by combining a hopper and shears and would automatically beak down things that could be broken down by putting them in crafting table, for example flowers would instantly be converted into dye, bones would instantly be broken down into bone meal, I feel like this could be useful for certain farms. Killing an animal with a bow should increase the meat drop rate Posted: 13 Jan 2021 04:20 AM PST This would add a bit to the immersion, as you would go hunting with a bow, instead of a sword (no one hunts with a sword irl) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 07:02 AM PST There should be some more challenging mobs in the game. Let's be honest, the ender dragon or wither is really not that tough. There should be a boss somewhere where there is not much content. The endless expanses of the terrifying lava lakes of the Nether! My suggestion is to have a huge lava Kraken. It would make you sweat even more while holding shift above lava, however, it would be very tough to defeat, and like the ender dragon and wither could destroy blocks. Drinking fire res, would make you immune to some of its attacks which could include lava breath, fireball? Maybe you could collect its flames in a bottle. Everlasting Flame in a bottle? It could be added to some potions to make them last until the player next dies, however, the effect of the potion would be dialled back significantly, such as instead of +40% speed it would be more 10%. After killing it, it would drop a Lava core, it would be similar to the conduit, and provide lava immunity to those around it, when built into a multiblock with some blocks but it could also provide infinite fuel to furnaces in a 5x5 area? The heart could also pulse and interact with the new skulk sensors. Not sure how this would work exactly, its just an idea, and that is what this subreddit is all about. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 01:22 PM PST The only two enchant-able combat items without a netherite variant are the bow and crossbow. A netherite bow/crossbow variant shouldn't do more damage. Instead, it should be lava resistant and more durable. I believe this is highly necessary because if you die in lava, your bow will burn while your other tools will remain. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 03:22 PM PST The weather effects of mc in its current form are quite bland, do almost nothing. So why don't we change that... Netherfall - Crimson Forest, Nether Waste, Soul Sand Valley, Basalt Delta Netherfall is similar to Overworld rain, but with lava. Every 10 seconds you will take 1 heart of damage, regardless of armour. This can be nullified by placing a stone-type block above your head (it falls through all other block types) Meteor Shower - All Overworld and End biomes You watch a meteor shower. It's that simple. These however will be rare and only take place at night. Eclipse - All Overworld biomes The Moon eclipses the Sun, causing night levels of darkness. This causes mobs to spawn, but this is a shorter weather effect. Sand/Dust Storm - Desert, Mesa, Savannah Obscures your vision (so basically the blindness effect) and deals half a heart every 15 seconds. This damage is reduced by armour. Unstable gravity - End, Warped Forest Periodically changes gravity. This includes the strength of gravity too. Frostbite - Snow Plains, Ice Spikes, Snowy Mountain, Snowy Taiga Basically Netherfall and Sand Storm, but you also have slowness. Wearing armour will nullify all effects. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 03:10 PM PST The idea: This would be a dangerous cave type for one main reason. It is almost completely made of gravel except for the ores and stuff. This means that if you are not careful then you could cause a cave in where the ceiling collapses. Also there is a 50% chance that a cave or ravine will generate below the cave so if you are not careful about what you do then the floor will collapse and you will fall. This challenges the player in a way that is not very common. This will make you be more cautious when mining in these caves. Some possible edits: This could also change the generation of gravel so it is not everywhere in your world and being annoying. Also to encourage people going in then maybe a block called ancient gravel could generate here. It will have a small texture difference to gravel and could be brushable like with the new archaeology in 1.17. aLso this is the best source of gravel. Please give feedback for what to improve or change. [link] [comments] |
Landing on a sheep inflicts a percentage of the fall damage to the sheep Posted: 13 Jan 2021 09:06 AM PST I think it'd be interesting if sheep could "break your fall" in a unique way should you land on them. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 08:15 AM PST Title. Make baby Villagers look cute and actually look like children instead of just midget adult Villagers. Why?
Yes, they should still look silly, but also cute. [link] [comments] |
A higher chance of getting tresure items when fishing near a sunken ship. Posted: 13 Jan 2021 04:41 AM PST If you find a sunken ship and do some fishing around it then there is a higher chance of getting enchanted books, fishing rods, saddles and other loots. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Jan 2021 10:24 AM PST Cheese can be made by smelting milk in a furnace, making Uncooked Cheese, and smelting it again will make Aged Cheese, and smelting it again will make it Cheese Wheel, you can place it down on the table, it has 7 bites and it restores 7 hunger points when you eat the entire thing and putting it on a crafting table will make 7 slices of cheese and eating one slice gives 1 hunger shank, and it will give you the advancement "Cheese Time!" and it is a goal and smelting it will give you "A Milky Situation" and eating an entire wheel on the ground will give you the challenge "I prefer this now!" and it can be combined with honey making Sticky Cheese and will give the goal "This does not stick in the wall". Cheese wheels stack up to 16, and cheese slices stack up to 64. Also crafting it with 7 cheese slices will make a cheese wheel. (note: Minecraft is NOT A medieval game, not as OP as rabbit stew, and most people post this, so don't accuse this for downvotes) [link] [comments] |
