    We're now releasing 1.16.5 Release Candidate 1, which addresses two critical stability issues. If no further critical issues are found, we plan to release 1.16.5 on Friday. We hope to release another Caves & Cliffs snapshot next week.

    Please help us out by testing the new UI and reporting any bugs you find on the Minecraft Issue Tracker.

    Get the Release Candidate

    Snapshots are available for Minecraft Java Edition. To install the snapshot, open up the Minecraft Launcher and enable snapshots in the "Installations" tab.

    Testing versions can corrupt your world, please backup and/or run them in a different folder from your main worlds.

    Edit: Since lots of people are asking about what was fixed: the bug reports are private for security reasons. Both bug fixes relate to server crashes.
