You should be able to enchant horse armour with the Frost Walker Posted: 22 Jan 2021 01:00 AM PST Isn't it SUCH a pain when your horse is stuck in the water, not even trying to get out? That could all be undone if you simply enchant your horse's armour and then you'll be able to cross that nasty river no problem. It would be such a time saver and would be oh so handy. We need to get rid of the current moderation system on Minecraft. Posted: 22 Jan 2021 10:42 AM PST --very long read ahead.-- people, i think it's time we band together and take a stand against these unfair and ridiculous moderation policies. when they were introduced, it was met with severe backlash from the community, yet mojang remained silent. we have had enough. the system has been in effect for two months, and it has already failed miserably. people are getting banned left and right, and there are so many issues with the entire thing. first of all, the bans are permanent, and cannot be removed or negotiated. the whole concept of permanent bans on things like minecraft where you pay money for the product and save up lots of progress is just stupid. people change. any moderator on minecraft can just decide to ban you forever and you can't play multiplayer (unless you're on xbox, then you can't play at all) without notice, which bring us to our second issue. when an account is banned, no reason for the ban is given. no. reason. what in the nether, mojang?!?! this is beyond stupid. if someone is banned for no reason, the user can't improve as a person and it gives moderators the ability to just ban people whenever they feel like it. this is the message users receive upon being banned. third of all, the grounds for getting banned are extremely vague. mojang claims that the bans are only given out "to the worst offenders", however, like stated before, innocent people are getting banned all the time for no reason. the grounds for getting banned include hate speech, sexual content and soliciting improper content, real life threats, exposing the personal information of others, posting links to malicious software, impersonating staff, cheating/exploits, and general commercial spamming. what?? this is so vague! there are so many issues with this! what counts as hate speech? what counts as impersonating staff? which staff? mojang staff? server staff? where does it become too sexual? what is "improper content"? what counts as commercial, or spamming? the fourth issue is that the concept of universal bans makes no sense. if someone did something bad enough that mojang claims they would ban someone for, wouldn't/shouldn't they already be banned from xbox live or playstation network? minecraft is a game, not a social platform. fifth is that they apply everywhere. you might be saying to yourself "well duh, you already stated that", but bear with me here. different servers have different rules. something that would be considered fine on one server could warrant moderator action on another. the system does not take context into account. sixth and finally is that we don't know how the game is being moderated. do they have player reports? do moderators monitor servers posing as regular players? do players' chat logs get saved and manually reviewed or reviewed by a bot, if so that would raise serious privacy concerns. the only reason mojang is doing this is because when something bad happens on the game, news media goes crazy and gives the game bad press. since mojang only really cares about money, they hurt their playerbase to five themselves a good look. what should we do? i don't know yet. personally, i will be taking a break from minecraft until mojang decides to listen to their players, and i encourage you to do the same. if this post blows up, we could have like a week or two of not playing out of protest for the horrible moderation to really put a message out there. i will probably make a follow-up post if this post takes off either on my profile, another subreddit, or this subreddit (if i don't get banned). another good idea would to send mojang a message whether it be directly contacting them, not making purchases, or taking a break from the game entirely, like me. either way, spread the word! copy/paste to your friends, spread awareness, sign petitions, do whatever you can! what should mojang do? first of all, get rid of the current system until you have a new and better one in place to prevent further damage. bans should not last until the sun explodes, maybe a few months at most. if it's enough to warrant a permanent ban from minecraft, it's enough to warrant a ban from xbox live/playstation network. bans should have a reason attached. if you don't know what you did wrong, how can you become better as a person? not having a reason for bans also allows moderators to ban people for no reason. hold moderators accountable for their actions. if a moderator takes action falsely against users multiple times, hold them accountable! their actions have consequences, just like regular players! bans should be able to be appealed. unfair bans are unfortunately very common, and if someone does anything slightly wrong, they have pretty much their entire minecraft access revoked. people should be able to disagree and speak their opinion. bans should not be universal. a good idea for this is have it so realm and sever owners could opt into a program which has it so players are only banned from realms and servers that are opted in. this ties into what was previously mentioned about how different servers have different rules. minecraft should be about what you want your adventure to look like, not what mojang wants it to look like. put yourself in the players' shoes. imagine you said something slightly offensive on a private realm with you and your friend. you get banned from minecraft. in the best case, you can't access multiplayer anymore and you lose all of your maps, progress in servers, and the ability to play minecraft with other people. do you realize how devastating that is to some people? bottom line: mojang, fix your system. people, protest the current moderation system. also congratulations if you made it this far. tl;dr the current moderation system in minecraft is awful and needs serious reform. send mojang a message whether it be contacting them directly, not making purchases, or taking a break from the game entirely. Glow Squid should not have a shadow Posted: 22 Jan 2021 12:16 AM PST Every mob have this round circle of shadow under them. But why this squid does? Yes, technically he is not a light source, but in fact he is. Even if his light is not an in-game feature, logic says that he can not have a shadow. [link] [comments]
There should be signs coastal coastal erosion Posted: 22 Jan 2021 08:32 AM PST I think there should be signs of erosion on costal areas. Of course the land wouldn't actually be eroded by the sea and wouldn't affect any blocks you place there. I would like to see this mainly show. But it would also add a slight bit of realism to the game without going over board Edit: What I mean about coastal erosion is adding natural arch ways, costal pillars etc The top of the cliff coming out further than the bottom, this would make it look like the bottom of the cliff is being worn away by the sea [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jan 2021 05:13 AM PST At least in my worlds, most raids have at least one wave that spawns underground and nobody can find it. This problem could be quite easily solved by ensuring that all raiders must spawn at y levels greater than 60. I'm mainly speaking for the Bedrock community here, since we don't have the luxury of using bells to make glowy raiders. [link] [comments]
Villagers should be attracted to blocks of emerald Posted: 22 Jan 2021 09:09 AM PST I just think this is a good idea so villagers have more character and have a little greed aspect, it just sounds funny to take villagers instead of putting them in a boat [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jan 2021 06:25 AM PST You should be able to put a lantern on top of an iron bar. It is much more aesthetically pleasing to look at than say a fence post or a wall. (it would make for a great street lamp) [link] [comments]
Iron Golems offer you poppies if you have Hero of the Village, which you can then take. Posted: 22 Jan 2021 01:20 PM PST This could happen randomly, or the first time you approach it only. The Iron Golem is thanking you for helping to protect the village it calls home. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jan 2021 01:43 PM PST I know this has been mentioned a lot, but I want to make the bat better. No not like taming bats (there is already a Pet Bat mod), night vision ears or anything. Just something that will gain a little more popularity by the fans, excluding decoration for dark, gloomy builds or a convenient lamp on the ceiling. A. Bats eat bugs. Not spiders, they're too big. Cave Spiders, Silverfish, Endermites and babees are its preffered prey. This will come in handy for clearing out a Stronghold for Cracked Stone Bricks or venturing into a Mineshaft. B. They can be bred. Their only compatible food is Spider Eyes or Fermented Spider Eyes if you're outrageously rich, because again, bats eat bugs. This would also release the baby bat, something I would love in game. C. They can be put on leads. This can give you a new form of arsenal against those pesky insects! Tell me what you think in the comments below! [link] [comments]
Crying obsidian in the end crystal towers while the dragon is dead. Posted: 21 Jan 2021 11:38 PM PST After the dragon dies crying obsidian will spawn in the end crystal towers. If the dragon is respawned the towers will go back to normal obsidian until it dies. The whole tower wont be made of crying obsidian but only a portion like 25% or so. I think this would be a cool touch, doesnt add much, maybe a renewable source for crying obsidian. [link] [comments]
Netherite armor should have built in fire protection instead of knock back resistance Posted: 22 Jan 2021 07:04 AM PST Netherite can't burn, so it's already proven that it's fireproof. It just makes more sense than "armor toughness". Probably a 30% to 40% fire damage reduction would be fair. [link] [comments]

Add a fun way to see where mobs can spawn without add-onns. Posted: 22 Jan 2021 01:53 PM PST A huge problem of leaving places unlit because an abundance of light sources looks rough, and its a pain to use the F3 interface to check every spot. An easy plain method. Add an add on to the F3+ (any key) to show a grid on the floor, but I think thats kind of lame. A fun method and I think a good way to potentially use the amethyst crystals in the upcoming update, is add Spectacles. A fun name might be like Seeing Spectacles (Taken from Spiderwick where this idea is stemmed from, idk about copyright) It would take maybe 4 crystals and some iron or gold? Up for suggestions for crafting recipe. I think this would be a fun and also very useful way to have a mob spawning detection system. You could equip them in your helmet spot as too not have to use it in your hand, like the telescope. PS I checked the FPS list and didn't see any ideas like this, but Im prone to missing things, so let me know if it was. Thanks!! [link] [comments]

Goggles and night vision goggles! Posted: 22 Jan 2021 08:53 AM PST Goggles (made with copper and glass) will allow you to see under water(as if you are just on land). Night vision goggles are made by surrounding a normal goggle with 8 glow ink sacs. Also lava goggles which help you see better in lava (at the same level as goggle-less water). I doubt any of this would be particularly OP because seeing under water doesn't change much and night vision in coutneracted by the fact mob spawns still occur. Lava goggles aren't as OP as water goggles so you still need help to see. Lava goggles should be made with 1 netherite [link] [comments]
all animals should sleep and sit Posted: 22 Jan 2021 01:50 PM PST remember foxes? They have a unique IA that they can rest and sleep on. all animals should sleep when night and rest from time to time [link] [comments]
"Reeling" enchantment for Fishing Rods that pull entities further. Posted: 22 Jan 2021 02:44 PM PST This would be mostly used in PVP to pull your opponents closer to you, but could also be used to transport entities without leads. This would not generate on found fishing rods, only being from enchantment tables, and randomly found books. It goes up to level 2, each one pulling enemies further. It'd leave a particle trail behind pulled entities. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jan 2021 01:50 AM PST Maybe a new mob too, the baby ghast, but this post is mainly for the ghast nest. Structure: A large white bulb hanging off the ceiling with a side torn open. Ghasts spawn inside but quickly leave the structure. Baby ghast: A smaller, passive version of the ghast that never flies high up. If attacked, it will run away from the player. Drops nothing. Snowgolem won't melt and die when they're dipped in powersnow Posted: 22 Jan 2021 08:28 AM PST I wanted snowgolems in hot places without needing to have them be splashed with fire res [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jan 2021 01:24 AM PST Now, before I start, I want to say that part of this will be on the FPS list in a way, but im including it anyway as a part of the post as a whole. I hope that is OK. So this morning I saw a post by u/SirBlimp about wolves taking mutton from sheep. This got me thinking and I commented about my ideas, and someone said I should post it. So here I am. What I suggest is a big overhaul to wolves. Currently with wolves (and other pets), idk about everyone else, but mine stay in my house sat in the same spot permanently. I want to make them useful. I suggest an overhaul of their AI to make them much more likely to survive. They run away below a certain HP for example. Also, they won't run into lava pits anymore. Additionally, id like to suggest a new wolf varient with the caves and cliffs update: the mountain wolf. Current wolves are small and live in various forest biomes. I suggest a larger, more aggressive mountain wolf found semi-rarely in extreme hills biomes. This wolf would do more damage (maybe 1.5x or even 2x that of the standard wolf). Also, it would be harder to tame, needing meat or perhaps even a system similar to foxes where you breed them and tame the pup. As for size, it would maybe be 2x the size of a normal wolf with a more aggressive look when fighting and a happier look when with the player. Similar system to bees becoming angry. This wolf would have a problem though, something to make the standard wolf more desirable: the mountain wolf can be naughty. It will sometimes kill nearby sheep, even when tamed, it may occasionally attack the player if the player doesn't feed it (yes, a pet that needs caring for) etc etc. Feel free to expand on this in the comments On the fps list it says pet armour, however i disagree with this. I suggest a system sort of like stat training for wolves. I'm not sure how this would work, but all I can think of is that you can give your wolf more hp, attack, speed, or resistance. Perhaps similar to the forgotten horse breeding system? Let me know what you think! I understand a lot of this is similar to the FPS list, however this is my own spin on it and I think it would fit well into the caves and cliffs update with the mountains. [link] [comments]
