SoftSlayer has been around for 9 years now, with a pretty dedicated community that still plays a bunch of games together (obviously including Minecraft). Our server is small and pretty simple, it's a mostly vanilla atmosphere with a few things added like /home and /warps. Everyone is friendly and helpful with most things needed. PvP is disabled (we have a custom PvP arena to scratch your PvP itch), griefing is not allowed (mods will rollback if you get griefed) and you can lock your chests. We currently run the server on version 1.16.4 and the difficulty is set to Hard. We try to keep the vanilla experience with some tweaks to enhance this experience. It's called Melon Colony and it's all about having fun. All we do is play Minecraft, we don't have any ethnicity boundaries, or time zone boundaries - It is accessible to everyone who owns Java. With that being said, it must be made clear that we would rather have people aged 14+ and mature on the server, (However, we have made exceptions for some; stereo typically speaking, any younger and you can find a lot of immaturity) You should be confident in your builds as we are looking for semi-good builders - this does not mean you can't join if you are not confident, it just means we would rather you were. About the server itself: - We have a shopping area that mainly uses diamonds as currency (how generic) -We don't look up to Hermitcraft, but many of us watch it so don't expect any Hermitcraft fan idolizing like you see a lot around here. -We use quality of life data packs like: one person sleeping, Armour stand book, heads and others I can't think of. -We are quite early on in the world as we have just killed the dragon. -I made a community gold/levels farm that you can go to get levels. -I don't own the server, I just help out occasionally -We don't support irrational behavior such as: bullying, racism or any other form of profanity. IvorySMP is about a month old semi-vanilla server aimed to create long lasting relationships, a long lasting server, and grow our player base with dedicated players. Most small servers struggle to keep their players active with small player base while most larger servers struggle to create a close knit community. I couldn't find a server that suited them so we ended up making one! My daughter is 13 has autism/tourettes and adhd and my son is 8. We needed one where it didn't matter that my daughter sometimes swears and can be impulsive. I have got separate areas for the older and younger ones and different text and voice chats but the area's and age groups can mix easily. There are very little rules.
