After playing Minecraft on and off for the last ~7 years, I've finally decided to start my own Minecraft survival Server. Why? Well, because throughout the years I've joined many servers; some failed, ended up inactivate, some ended abruptly without ever hearing from the server owner again. Maybe you have been through the same roller coaster. I decided I don't want to go through the same cycle again. Stability is important. I want security that I'm playing and investing in a community that isn't just going to disappear. With my own server I have that! I hope that anyone that decides to give this server a try will eventually have that same feeling of security. I have ran several servers in the past, and I know how to run them with the right settings and optimizations so that there is very little lag. I will pre-generate the world out to 5000 blocks, and there will be a world border there as well, to keep everyone somewhat close together. Anyways, like I said: this server isn't just for me. It will be a community effort and thus the community will be a part of making decisions. That's why Discord will be a requirement. Not just for ease of communication, but also for discussing and voting on datapacks, directions we'll take with future Minecraft updates and the likes. We will never, ever use any plugins that "add" things or features to the game. Why? Because I feel like they remove something from the Vanilla experience. Vanilla is about building, playing, and being friends. Mods and plugins remove this and add content, and new things to grind for. If you want plugins and mods, play Hypixel Skyblock or Wynncraft. Vision Whenever I decided to join an SMP server, I always looked for a new server. Why? Because the community is such a big part of this experience... and I don't know about you, but more often then not I had a difficult time trying to fit in with an existing community. I'll make it a continuous effort to make any player feel welcome, no matter if they join the server now or in a couple of months. I hope that others will strive for the same. It's a multiplayer experience after all! I also like to have a "spawn town" where we will be having a little town with each our starters house/base. That will keep us around each other for a little while and hopefully boosts player interactions, resource sharing and maybe even some joined efforts in building houses together etc. And as a bonus it will give us a wonderful spawn. Too often, people build a hole in the ground at spawn, and call it their "Base" so there will be a 500 block world border for 3 days to make sure that spawn is a nice place. I'm also a big advocate for player shops and a playerbase that doesn't shy away from actually using said shops. Diamonds will be the main currency, and you will be able to buy things from other players with such. Another big problem I see with SMPs is that when some members stop playing, they try to replace a closely knit playerbase with hundreds of players, and with that comes plugins and mods. I really don't like servers like that, as there is very little sense of community and there are tons of greifers and hackers. Info As I said previously, The entire point of this server is to allow people to feel part of a small community. Now... I, running a server, I could easily build a shopping district, games district and a range of social areas for players to interact! However, these places would be redundant if our members were not a community. We expect our SMP to be a thriving, creative haven for members to form friendships and enjoy themselves with others, 'with others' is the most important part to take away from this section; If you are willing to interact with new people and form bonds with them over time, that courage is a gigantic first step into joining our SMP. As you can probably guess, we do not want people as members who are anti-social, rude and intolerant on our SMP. There is no room for people with those qualities. Therefore one of our highest expectations, however easiest to follow, is simply to be kind and tolerant to other members. You most likely will interact with people who are very different from you, whether that be because of race, nationality, sex, sexuality, political views, etc... But all we ask is to attempt to be tolerant. understand that others do have feelings and remember the main goal of this concept. If you are aware that you are eventually going to get tired of playing Minecraft in 2020. Please do NOT apply for this SMP. We are attempting to build a community that can withstand the test of time, not a flash in the pan experience that will die out as soon as it was created. I am not going to say 'you should be online for X amount of days a week' because that isn't the point of this server. It is being created for people who want to play this game and build a community with us. If you want to join the server, you gotta be committed to the server. To prove that you have read our expectations completely please type 'I have completed the form' in the 'Do you have any questions for us?' answer box as well as your questions for us. Thank you. We have a system in place to check block/container updates, restore blocks with a bunch of filters, and check who exactly griefed an area. We have several datapacks to accommodate for multiplayer security and Quality of life improvements, but nothing too rash. As far as events goes there are player hosted events. We will implement weekly PvP events once we get an arena up. Everyone will be encouraged to come up with minigames, PvP arenas and other event worthy ideas. | Fellowship SMP: Adventure [Semi-Vanilla] {Whitelist} {Community} {No-Reset} {1.16.4} {Java} Posted: 24 Feb 2021 10:13 PM PST Fellowship: A friendly feeling that exists between people who have a shared interest or are doing something as a group. Fellowship SMP: Adventure is a Vanilla+ (or Semi-Vanilla), No-Reset Server. Essentially, the core aspects of the Survival Vanilla Gameplay remain intact (mine, explore, build) but there's a big focus on creating our own Fellowship Updates between official Mojang Minecraft Updates. These updates can be small or large, ranging from new structures being placed in the world for you to discover, seasonal or themed events for you to participate in, mini-games, 'custom items' and eventually PVE Dungeons for you to conquer. All of these additions are built in creative behind the scenes and then pasted into the world as updates. There's going to be a big focus on story and lore to make sure there's cohesion between updates and in time we hope to create our own Fellowship galaxy of sorts. Here's our Dynmap (view of our world). And here's a Gallery of some in-game screenshots. One of the main aspects of our server is Guilds. In order to share resources and farms with another player, you must reside within the same guild. Guilds are easy to setup and we hope in time once enough get established, we can then have various kinds of Guild Vs Guild events. This is also a WIP and subject to change. Other notable additions to our server include a weekly Global PVP Day (not yet implemented), Trophies and Titles (WIP), Prebuilt Spawn Area with a Town Hall and Museum, Prebuilt Nether Hub and a Custom Item Shop. To clarify, custom items are ever so slightly altered regular items, such as a Silktouch 2 Pickaxe that can mine spawners, or an Unbreakable Elytra. These are all purchasable with diamonds to encourage a healthy economy and there's absolutely no P2W (pay-to-win). There's a lot more to unpack, but hopefully you get the general impression of what type of server this is striving to be. We're currently running on the best machine we could find (costing us $120 USD a month) and we've invested and will be investing a lot of time into making the server the best it can be. Because of this, there's going to be a Monthly Subscription Fee of €2. With that said, your first month on the server is absolutely free to give you time to check it and the community out and see if it's the right server for you. The server is also Strictly 18+ as we're trying to create a mature community free from any drama or conflict. We've currently got 10 members. The Rules - No Hacking, No Griefing, Treat your Fellows with respect. These are all extremely common sense especially given our age requirement but just in case they weren't a given. There's a much more in-depth set of rules and server specifications to read once you're accepted (or prior to during your application) but it's mainly specifics regarding things like the PVP Day/Custom Structures and a list of all of our QOL (quality of life) changes that are tailored to our server. We have large goals, however members are welcome to do/build anything - (we would like to organize public areas such as spawn chunks/endhub/netherhub) - we have a storage-hub which filters most items in the game which everyone is free to use. . We already completed some large-scale projects including a fully decorated & light suppressed guardian farm, storage hub, quad witch farm, terraformed spawn chunk perimeter, iron farm, wither skeleton farm, greenhouse (all tree types + leaf farm), many cool bases etc... Some of our current projects that are underway includes dolphin highway, netherhub, endhub, encoded infinite villager hall... and creating our own archives for tech, trees, world edit functions & more :) . In our survival we use carpet mod for monitoring & enabling a few useful technical features, we use world edit in our cmp & voxel sniper in our spigot cmp. . We are specifically looking for players who can motivate themselves to complete builds & projects be it Decorative or Technical & are keen to work with, learn and engage with other. We do not require members to have a lot of technical or decorative knowledge, as long as you are willing to learn. . Important .
