Please provide us a better superflat world generation gui Posted: 17 Mar 2021 03:00 AM PDT I would like to have more control over superflat worlds i create. Choose blocks from a list instead of trying to remember their id names. Edit: the problem is not only with block ids, i wish we could have multiple biomes and i edit ore spawn chances and... i just want the superflat world screen to have a better gui in which we can customize the superflat worlds as we want. Posted: 17 Mar 2021 11:29 AM PDT I know we've already had an aquatic update, but the fact that beaches in normal worlds are just slim strips of sand, and have little depth, really ticks me off. If you go in an amplified world you will often find beaches that I find not only more realistic, but also much more fun and easy to build on. Credit to u/WujekWotjek for image Another plus side of these beaches would be the significant element of interest it would add to archeology, allowing people to find nautilus shells, buried treasures, and items like spyglasses on beaches. Something like this likely wouldn't be too hard to add in due to it already being in amplified (although, I don't work at Mojang so this is speculation), and since many new terrain changes are coming with 1.17 anyway, it would make sense. Personally, I would also appreciate more depth to gravel/stone beaches, and increased chances of jungles in island chains, but that's just personal preference. Also perhaps tents (like igloos but on beaches)? I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this. [link] [comments] |
Give every armor type a unique look for colorblind accessibility Posted: 17 Mar 2021 08:53 AM PDT For some types of colorblindness, it is hard to tell Iron and Diamond Armor apart, which is why I think they should, much like the ores, get a unique texture. [link] [comments] |
Being able to change the orientation of lily pads Posted: 17 Mar 2021 01:12 PM PDT In 21w11a snapshot you are now about the change the orientation of the small drip leaf depending on where you are facing when you place this but the same should be the case for lily pads. Forever they've been subjected to the direction the world gives it on generation and I feel like if we could control the direction of the lily pad, it would help a lot with decoration. Waterlogged Lightning Rods should treat everything in the body of water as being hit by lightning Posted: 17 Mar 2021 12:31 PM PDT This would be a good way to transform many mobs at once, as well as be a funny feature for when it inevitably kills someone. And if effecting the entire body of water is too much to program/a lag problem, then maybe having it be anything within a a certain radius of the waterlogged rod? [link] [comments] |
Running copper on one side with lava and another water should make it oxidize quickly (instantly?) Posted: 17 Mar 2021 02:02 PM PDT "Realistic" theory: heat and exposure to water would cause oxidation to happen faster. Game-reason: I mean we all want faster oxidizing. The idea of something changing slowly over time is "cool", but some people might also just like the option to have an oxidized-copper color from the start, or nearer to the start. I think the way I described would be automatable, and sensible, and make people happy. I don't think people are going to be running lava and water on the side of copper blocks for aesthetic purposes, so I don't think it'd make any builders mad; and if it did, the waxed versions look identical but are frozen in time, so you can have that. The reason why not just water is, obviously, builders would possibly want to build copper structures in water. What it'd look like https://i.imgur.com/WE0QLxx.png [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Mar 2021 03:30 AM PDT Why cant you dye 8 wool with one dye but can you can dye 8 of many other blocks with one dye? I understand getting dyed isnt hard and this wouldnt really be nesseccary but its just annoying if you want to dye a large quantity of wool and need 8 times the amount of dye you should need. When lightning hits copper, the block and blocks attached to it become electrified Posted: 17 Mar 2021 10:13 AM PDT Copper in real life is known for its conducting of electricity. I think it's very strange that copper in Minecraft has none of these applications besides the lightning rod. I suggest that if lightning strikes a copper block (or lightning rod attached to a copper block), the block and ALL copper blocks attached to it within an 8 block radius become electrified for 10 ticks (0.5 seconds). This works with copper and waxed copper blocks and their variants, but NOT any form of oxidized or semi-oxidized copper. The Electrified Copper block emits electrical particles and is a technical block and not available in the Creative inventory. The electrification will occur with ANY unoxidized copper block that is connected in an unbroken path through copper blocks to the block or rod that was struck (the source), within an 8 block radius of the source. For example, if there is a dirt block 4 blocks away from the source, but is completely surrounded by copper blocks and there is an unbroken connection from these copper blocks to the source, all the copper blocks will become electrified, but not the dirt. If there is no unbroken connection to the source, even if the copper block is within 8 blocks, it will not get electrified. If you or any other mobs are standing on a copper block when it is electrified, you will be dealt 2.5 hearts of damage regardless of difficulty. This would be absolutely incredible for certain farms, turning a lightning storm into an absolute hellstorm of death for any mobs you want to slaughter using a copper floor. Should you yourself succumb to an electric shock from standing on an electrified copper block, the death message will read: "[Player] discovered electricity". If redstone is attached to a copper block that becomes electrified, it emits a signal strength of 15. The electrification will not be able to carry through redstone, so a redstone wire can't be used to bridge gaps. Currently, only lightning can electrify copper. Lightning is the only source of true electricity in Minecraft, and I feel it would be incredibly OP if there was a way to permanently electrify copper. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Mar 2021 12:21 AM PDT I think that in 1.17 or future versions they need to add Mossy Forests! They could be rare but, not so much just not to easy to find. Mossy Forests should be old trees with moss on them and they should be breaking quicker because they have moss and they are also very old! They should:
That's my list... [link] [comments] |
Sunflowers Follow the Sun Across the Sky Posted: 17 Mar 2021 02:32 PM PDT To me this feels like a much-needed change to have sunflowers look. It is very awkward trying to place them in a way that looks good at the moment, but instead of just having them face towards you when you place them, I would suggest that they move throughout the day to follow the sun. Every minute or two, they could change to a different state, raising or lowering their angle to match the sun. At night, they could close and move back over to face the east where the sun would rise. They would of course stay fixed to the sun's position if the daylight cycle gamerule was set to false. [link] [comments] |
Clerics should heal their friends Posted: 17 Mar 2021 02:18 PM PDT Well its a short idea, cleric is supposed to be a villager whic use potions for support its hometown isnt it? What if clerics use splash potions for heal wounded villagers like how witchs do to pillagers? This will show villagers more alive and smart, everyone should do their jobs, farmers collect crops and blacksmiths working with furnaces why not clerics also craft potions and use them? You Should Get Cold When High In The Sky Posted: 17 Mar 2021 10:50 AM PDT With the height limit being extremely increased, and being frozen as a new thing, I think this feature would be nice. So basically when you pass a certain height in the sky you start to freeze. You can avoid this by wearing leather armor. This is more realistic and provides a small challenge for extreme builders. Adding unique music to cave biomes Posted: 17 Mar 2021 12:23 PM PDT Now that caves are much much bigger, varied and interesting, and as a result you will be spending a lot of time exploring them, I think that it is sensible to have unique soundtracks for each cave biome, or at least for the lush and deepslate caves (underdark). In the nether where they added unique music to each biome, it did wonders in creating a suitable atmosphere, resulting in better immersion and giving the biomes and ultimately the nether some character. For example think of a creepy, mysterious music playing in the background as you explore the deepslate caves biome, knowing that the Warden could be near you. Also imagine having aetherial and joyful music playing from time to time as you take in the wonderful and magical scenery of the lush caves. I think it would go a long way in enhancing the game's atmosphere and overall feel and immersion. I understand that this may be something a bit too obvious that they eventually are gonna add, but you never know. [link] [comments] |
There Should be a dedicated tool for breaking glass Posted: 17 Mar 2021 12:20 PM PDT to my knowledge every other block has one so why wouldn't glass? I don't know if this has already been suggested, but I feel like it should've, in which case I'm sorry for posting. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Mar 2021 04:22 PM PDT The chasm is a ravine like sub biome, it has ash like the nether and it has dark volcanic blocks around it. It is a ravine but its shorter and filled with lava to a certain point. I think this might be cool since we can't have volcanoes. How do you like it? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Mar 2021 04:33 AM PDT This magical fruit can be only found in the jungle temple, it will be in a mini garden inside the temple and you can't get the bush it grows on by using silk touche or Scissors so you have to get as much as you need and it grows slow and can be collected like sweet berries and it has a special effect if you feed it to a mob it will trun to a baby and will stay as a baby forever and of course you can't feed mobs that don't have a baby shape. And will also fill hunger to max [link] [comments] |
Make bottles of enchanting drop like 20x more experience. Posted: 17 Mar 2021 11:08 AM PDT Right now they are pretty useless but if they dropped more xp it wouldn't be to op(because they aren't that easy to get) but it would give a good form of portable xp [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Mar 2021 05:29 AM PDT in the end the end pillars are actually called "end spikes". most players don't call them end spikes probably because they aren't very pointy. in fact they are very not pointy. I think just slightly changing the design of the end pillars to look like actual spikes would be a good idea as well as making the main end island feel a little less bland. [link] [comments] |
Clovers! A Saint Patty's Day Suggestion! Posted: 17 Mar 2021 02:33 PM PDT Happy Saint Patty's day! I'm here to make a fun little suggestion for the holiday, clovers! Clovers would be a new plant grown with seeds. When they grow, they have the chance of either one, two, three or five clovers grown together. When you break a clover, you get a clover petal. There are two types of clover petals, the clover petal and the four leaf clover. Clover petals are boring and don't really do anything except being good for breeding rabbits and composting. However, the four leaf clovers are quite a charm. They are very rarely dropped and can be used to make luck potions. Lucky potions give you the luck enchantment. This is useful in several ways. For the time it is active, you are more likely to find better loot and more loot in structures. Also, mobs will drop more items. You even have a higher chance of getting critical hits and eyes of ender not breaking. There are also bad luck potions, crafted with a four leaf clover and warped vine. They will give you, you guessed it, the bad luck effect. When you have this, mobs and chests have less loot. Other positive effects you have stop (except for beacons). You really don't want this effect. Thank you all for reading and I hope you have a great Saint Patty's Day! [link] [comments] |
dying a colored block like (concrete/terracotta/wool) white should reset the color back to white Posted: 17 Mar 2021 11:55 AM PDT either by dying the blocks or maybe using the block and a water bucket in a crafting recipe, it would make those three blocks more useful if you have spare colors and are in need of a different one. it would also make hunting for wool easier. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Mar 2021 07:56 AM PDT Crossbow bolts could be another type of arrow that can be only used in crossbows. They do more damage than normal arrows but take longer to load and degrade durability faster. Crossbows can still use normal arrows, this is just an alternative. [link] [comments] |
Beacons should repel phantoms. Posted: 17 Mar 2021 03:45 PM PDT I personally think idea of the phantom is actually pretty good. However, I (along with many others) think that you shouldn't have to deal with them in late game. They are just annoying. So by having beacons repel them, it gives late game players a rest while still giving beginners a reason to sleep. (Possible addition, campfires also repel them, but only within a small area) [link] [comments] |
Lightning Rods Don't Appear Floating in 3rd Person Posted: 17 Mar 2021 02:26 PM PDT Currently, when held in a player's hand, lightning rods will float in front of it slightly. I propose that instead it is rotated 90 degrees to render inside the players hand, held like a tool or weapon. [link] [comments] |
Armor Stands give off a Comparator pulse Posted: 17 Mar 2021 12:49 PM PDT I just think it would be neat if a comparator could signal when an armor stand is wearing anything. Each piece of armor would increase 25% of the signal strength. It could even open the door for sorting armor from other items, maybe not individual pieces of armor though. [link] [comments] |
