The application process is quick and painless and our only requirement is that, while we don't ask your age, we do expect a fairly mature attitude. The server is based in the UK, we run the latest PaperMC but have removed some of the paper fixes so that e.g. bedrock breaking, improving villager trading by curing, etc is still allowed together with a few plugins made only to assist with grief prevention and overall community integration. It is a randomly generated survival map with a world border currently at +/- 7500 which will be expanded as needed and also for generating new 1.17 terrain. We do not plan on resetting the map. I am Anderlock and i am a moderator in Settlers of the Barrens. As it says on the title, this is an economy based server! However, I've never come across one with a genuine, functional economy. Servers that make this claim provide no genuine incentive to participate in their economy. For example, why would I bother to buy wheat, iron ore or redstone off another player in Minecraft when I can easily go find some myself. Items with a higher scarcity such as wither skulls or enchanted items make sense to trade but there isn't enough demand. Especially amongst a smaller player base. The server takes this concept of scarcity and applies it across a lot more items making the economy of the server a key and essential aspect. To do this, the server will have a custom map, with players spawning in the centre. The centre is a green and fertile region with plenty of food however there is no precious ores or metals. To get ores and metals such as diamond and gold, one must travel outside of the green and fertile centre into the 'Barrens'. The Barrens are a dangerous and barren land but contain valuable resources. No two types of ores will be able to be found in the same area so a lot of dangerous traveling will have to accompany mining therefore making ores valuable and worth trading. These barons are also filled with costum dangerous mobs with precious drops and unique abilities. Furthermore, scarcity will also be applied to food creating another whole dimension to the economy. This will be executed by preventing players from farming in the barrens (due to the barren and harsh conditions) and food will also expire. The server uses Factions for claiming and raiding purposes however TNT is not allowed. Come join a friendly server in its begginings. The theme of the server is Medieval/Fantasy/Steampunk; however the lore of the server is built around multidimensional portals which opens up the door to new maps/worlds and new themes/styles. The main build world is custom terrain generation using the EpicWorldGenerator. There is a separate small vanilla world that is used for harvesting. There is a vanilla nether world for harvesting and an epic terrain nether for building as well. The End Dimension also has custom terrain. Custom Dungeons (structures and bosses) have been made using the EliteMobs plugin. There is in-game access to the following: 🔹 Decorative Playerheads Database 🔹 Customizable Armor Stands_ 🔹 Custom Titles 🔹 Bank/Item Vault 🔹 and more We have a shared/communal storage system which was based off of series like Kingdomcraft (Pre-Hermitcraft) and the Realm of Vasten. This is encourage cohesive building over economy and plots/claims. Ultimately the server was designed to provide as much as possible in a survival world for builders. There is also a creative server which has a flat plotworld as well as a custom terrain map on which to practice. Longevity: A personal problem for me when playing on servers in the past was not knowing how long it would stay alive. I dreaded waking up one day and having all my hard work disappear because of something out of my control. I aim to put this problem to rest for me and anyone else with similar concerns. The server will not be shut down unless our host physically burns to the ground. In addition to the server remaining alive no matter how many active members it may have, we also will provide WorldEdit schematics of any large builds players make, so they can truly ensure that their work is safe. I'm 14 and been playing minecraft since 2012 and I'm really bored of playing survival by myself. I would like to join a server that: Has active members Does not allow cheats, creative mode Server ok with wars, pranks and minor griefing Server that I can play at any time of the day Server ok with little swearing but not toxic people as it may get or of hand. I don't swat that much myself tbh Server that is active Server with not a lot of people on it like for example like only 5 people. We aim to keep the server going over the next 10 years with no resets. All decisions/recruitment are controlled democratically by the active player base. . We have large goals, however members are welcome to do/build anything - (we would like to organize public areas such as spawn chunks/endhub/netherhub) - we have a storage-hub which filters most items in the game which everyone is free to use. . We already completed some large-scale projects including a fully decorated & light suppressed guardian farm, storage hub, quad witch farm, terraformed spawn chunk perimeter, iron farm, wither skeleton farm, greenhouse (all tree types + leaf farm), many cool bases etc... Some of our current projects that are underway includes dolphin highway, netherhub, endhub, encoded infinite villager hall... and creating our own archives for tech, trees, world edit functions & more :) . In our survival we use carpet mod for monitoring & enabling a few useful technical features, we use world edit in our cmp & voxel sniper in our spigot cmp. . We are specifically looking for players who can motivate themselves to complete builds & projects be it Decorative or Technical & are keen to work with, learn and engage with other. We do not require members to have a lot of technical or decorative knowledge, as long as you are willing to learn. . Important . We have a strict 2 week trial system, (which is to see if you are enthusiastic to start/manage projects & engage with others & have the time free to invest) - Then a 1-2 month new member status which is to see if you are interested in the server long term & have contributed/engaged enough to become full permanent member. do not take this lightly: Do not apply unless you are sure you are ok with the above ^ we do not want to waste your time. If you do not like the idea of contributing hundreds of hours into this server while struggling with tedious technical problems/logic & grinding for days on end, or using a creative world/worldedit to design your decorations + have a bunch of free time to invest, you probably will not pass trial \o/ . If you are a builder/designer (be it casual or not ^ as long as your happy with the above) we want to see screenshots (or past vids possibly from smp etc) of your work in your application .
