Minecraft Bi-Weekly Build Challenge #123: Forest House Posted: 09 May 2021 07:01 AM PDT LAST WEEK'S THEME: APOCALYPSEGoldA great and epic take on the apocalypse... or long after. Really love the scale of the build, and how everything ties in. Meaning, even though you built something really big, everything in the surroundings (the land, the ocean, etc) matches the scale of your build and makes sense. Really loved it. Only small complaint is that I found the helicopters and that area didn't feel too apocalyptic. Great build! SilverSpeaking of large environments... whoa. It may not seem like much, but to sculpt out a scene like that requires skill , and also making sure that you have the correct blend of colours and the right place to take the screenshot, that takes time and skill. Good job! BronzeReally like the build here and the street with the different buildings is built very well. I like the variations in colour but how the overall style remained the same. I really liked your idea for the sand scourge, but felt it should have been a little more apparent. I actually had a little trouble at the start, thinking they were about the same pictures. Maybe you should have had some actual trees or custom trees on the side to start, just so it would be more noticeable when they started dying. Regardless, still a really good idea and build! Honourable mentions IntroductionWell that was an apocalypse... maybe let's take it down a notch? Let's venture into the forest, where it's nice to relax and just enjoy being with nature. We'll go to our house in the forest, where we can relax, spend time with outdoors, and enjoy a nice rest when it gets dark. Let's get to building! Inspiration ChallengeForest House Build a forest house. Must be surrounded by trees/nature. It must have a bedroom and main living area (so at least two rooms). Interior and exterior required. Rules
