Make or join towns and nations, start wars, alliances, trade, etc. They're pretty common nowdays, you've probably seen a post about a server similar to this one before. Minecraft is a game about freedom and letting your imagination take control, but most servers rely on taking that freedom and creativity away for the sake of roleplay or very strict rules that often don't make much sense. Staff are hard to reach or contact, might abuse their power without anyone knowing and the whole thing seems like a copy-paste of something you've seen before. Everything feels soulless, rooted and unchanging, and new players have it the worst. But we're here because we're different. While most civilisation servers are really hard to get started with, have a lot of complicated rules, lots of plugins and very established lore and history, we at VanillaPlusCivs aim to be on the more simple side of things. Main Features: Alternative War System: Most servers that deal with towny and towny wars use that complicated thing with war flags, fence posts, town blocks and the whole thing. Here, we're different, and here's how: Three Lives War System: In a war, you have three lives. You die, you lose one. Lose all three, and you're temp-banned from the server for 20 minutes and you're out of the war. No Teleporting: No /home commands, no /fly and no fast travel shenanigans. Here we walk, sail or ride horses and minecarts. Distance and transport infrastructure are key elements of pretty much everything here, and heavily impacts all aspects of the server's experience. Unofficial Claims: Unofficial Claims are claims made by nations on what area they desire to control. Starting a town or a nation in these areas can lead to the nation knocking on your door demanding you join them, move out or get invaded. Warmongering and War Rules: Imagine waking up to find your town was brutally griefed or completely destroyed by another nation. That's no fun. Wiki Cataloguing: The history of this server is written as stuff happens. Events will most likely have a wiki page in less than 3 days, and towns and nations can create wiki pages describing how they are run, what their goals are, and other stuff they might find interesting to share. Nothing big goes unforgotten here. Unique Trade-Economy System: Trade is kind of a weird thing in these servers. Most nations want self-sufficiency, and can get that as soon as they have at least one of each crop. Player Feedback and Staff: Player Feedback is what rules around here, staff work only on keeping everything working nicely and dealing with rule breakers. Our staff are also fellow players who play on the server frequently and do not abuse or cheat. Our rules are universal: no one's exempt from them. Free to Play, Free to Win: Our ranks are given by playtime, and Donator and Supporter ranks don't have anything you can't get by just playing. No /vanish or /fly or /tp commands, donations only serve to keep the server running and not to give any unfair advantages to other players. This server is almost 4 years old, and has transitioned from the original 1.10 to 1.16.5! We average 40 players daily, with highs of 70-80 players in US afternoon, but we have American, European, and even Australian players. We sometimes say "Semi-Anarchy" because with the exception of hacking, cheating, and harassment, the admins let you do whatever you want. But don't let that fool you, the players have formed powerful governments and nations which strictly enforce their justice! This is an 18+ server (with limited exceptions) with a requirement to make, or plan to make some form of online content (Twitch/Youtube/etc...). | The World of Nyrad [SMP] [Roleplay] {Bedrock} {Nation Building} {God} {1.17} {Regular Events} Posted: 26 Jun 2021 11:56 AM PDT The World of Nyrad is a (sorta) roleplay SMP for people who enjoy things like making towns, joining towns, war, etc. There is a god on the server known as Nyrad (his gamertag is EndingCascadeee), who watches over the realm and keeps things in check. There is a decent amount of lore on the server which dates back to about a year ago, when the server started. We are looking for players who want to create towns and cities and help expand the Community of Nyrad! We have pretty simple rules, which are in the discord server if you wish to join! You can join and be a king of your own kingdom and rise to the top, or you can create cults and cause chaos if you wanted. So far there is only 2 kingdoms, which are known as Tevinter (the town of Nyrad), and Denerim, the town of a user known as Decrepit Portal. There is also dungeons which happen regularly and a bi weekly purge that is timezone friendly (to most people). You can also do things like make offerings or pray to the god Nyrad, and he may just reward you for your work! Just today we held an election for king of Tevinter, which was won by a user named dimitrodonne327. The bi weekly purge is also happening right now! if you join you just might be able to snag some of that juicy juicy loot! Well, that is all. I will put some of the lore if you are interested and you will be able to read the rest in the discord server! The First Age - Way back since the beginning of time, there was a land known as Nydacus. It was ruled by the king known as Nyrad and his heir known as Daryn. (that's nyrad backwards if you didnt notice :o). The land was as large as the entire known universe today. It was inhabited by titans, beings so large a simple flick of the thumb could collapse an entire galaxy. One day, as Nyrad sat on the throne of Nyrad, a titan known as cno came in. He accused Nyrad of being unjust and unfair to his people. Nyrad dismissed cnoic, and then chaos began. Cno started a rebellion against Nyrad, with many many titans joining his side. The titans managed to destroy Nyrad's entire kingdom, which was named Loridia. Soon, almost every titan was rising against Nyrad, trying to grab at some of his unlimited power.
