Weapons with smite should change their enchantment color when near undead

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 07:57 AM PDT

You ever read the hobbit, or lord of the ring? Glamdring, Foehammer, and Sting all are great goblin detectors. Don't you want your magic weapon to be a monster detector? for weapons with smite when near undead, their enchantment aura should change to being red. This would extend to bane of arthropods and it's enemies.

PLEASE let us use ‘tropical fish’ (the item) to breed axolotls, not just ‘tropical fish buckets’

    Posted: 14 Jun 2021 08:39 PM PDT

I've been aiming for the rare blue variant in survival, and I can't tell you how absolutely slow it is to breed them with tropical fish buckets. The fact that they don't stack makes it incredibly tedious to breed them. Mis-clicking causes you to release the fish, which will promptly be killed before you can pick it back up (effectively wasting it).

I've made it to over 1,600 bred so far, and with that, I feel like it would be so much better to just simply let players use tropical fish to breed them. They stack to 64, and can be farmed easier through fishing farms.

    Tinted Glass on Beacons

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 03:30 AM PDT

As of now, you can use all the stained glass on Beacons to change their color but I was wondering what could be a good use if you placed tinted glass on a beacon. And I thought, what if it turned the beacon beam invisible. This could be used for areas where you don't want the beam to be visible but still want the effects. Also, if you're in a PvP oriented server, you could hide the beacons so no one could find your base. For an added effect though, if you look at the beam through a spyglass it will then become visible to you. So looking through the spyglass to find hidden beacons could be used for games, finding hidden bases with beacons, or just simply hiding the beams for aesthetic purposes.

Possible uses for the liquid dripping from crying obsidian

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 11:51 AM PDT

What's the liquid that drips from crying obsidian? Right now, when you put a cauldron underneath it, nothing gets collected. But if it were possible to collect the liquid with a cauldron, what would it be? Here's a few suggestions:

    • Water. Pretty unspectacular in the Overworld, but quite useful in the Nether.
    • Drought of plane shifting. Its simple: Put it in a bottle and when you drink it, you immediately get shifted to the corresponding point in the Nether (or the Overworld, if you are already there), without using a portal. Better not drink it when there's a lava lake at the Nether coordinates. Seriously though, this item would probably be way too overpowered. Especially when used as a splash potion.
    • Essence of the Dragon. When put in a furnace and cooked, the essence gets turned into dragon's breath. That way, you finally get a way to farm it without going to the End.
    • Chorus Drought. Like Chorus fruit, but liquid. And you don't have to go to the End. May be useful as a splash potion.
    • Essence of Time. Drink it and you get teleported to the place where you were 30 seconds ago. Really useful to correct a mistake that wasn't digging straight down. The splash potion clause applies here too, of course.

    Disc Jockey

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 05:47 AM PDT

A hidden advancement called 'Disc Jockey' or similar, given to the player when they play all music discs in a Jukebox. I just feel like it fits, it's relatively challenging unless you make some sort of contraption and it gives you a reason to collect them other than to flex.

    Endagered Species Additions

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 10:48 AM PDT

Every update there is a poll for new additions. I think it'd be pretty cool if Mojang picked a few plants/animals from the endagered species list, and allowed you to donate to their respective conservation efforts, whichever species got the highest donation (through Mojang's affiliation) would be added into the game.

    Craftable Calcite/Tuff

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 08:28 AM PDT

Currently, all other Overworld rock types are craftable. Tuff and Calcite don't follow this, which is why I am proposing two new small recipes:

    Tuff: Cobblestone + Deepslate = Tuff × 2

    Calcite: Cobblestone + Bone Block = Calcite x 2

A small feature, but builders using these blocks would appreciate the change.

    Way to breed fish

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 09:37 AM PDT

Fish are the only food mob that isn't breedable. We can live without it, but with the addition of Axolotyls, which require live Tropical fish to be bred, creating an amphibian army is very hard, as the only way to acquire a live Tropical fish is finding one in the rare Warm Ocean biome. I suggest that Salmon can be bred with seagrass and Cod/Tropical fish/Pufferfish can be bred with Kelp. Another way to make these mobs renewable is to change fishing: when you catch a fish, you reel in a live fish that you can then pick up with a bucket.

Make the new stone types renewable

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 12:58 AM PDT

Currently, of the four new types of stone in 1.17, only one is renewable, Dripstone. I propose that crafting recipes be added to create the new stones.

    Deepslate:

1 deepslate/cobbled deepslate + 2 stone/cobblestone = 2 deepslate/cobbles deepslate. The logic here being that you compress the two stone into one new deepslate.

    Tuff

1 deepslate + 1 quartz = one tuff. This recipe is similar to diorite (1 stone + 1 quartz).

    Alternatively, 1 deepslate + 1 andesite = 2 tuff.

    Calcite

2 deepslate + 1 quartz + 1 amethyst shard = 2 calcite. I figure that if calcite is only found in geodes, then it must be connected to amethyst, and so need it in it's recipe.

I would post this on the feedback site, but that thing hates me and won't let me post anything. Yay

    Tinted Glass panes

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 04:08 AM PDT

I mean.. Why isn't this a thing already?

Not having them just gives less opportunities to use tinted glass and it makes it weirdly inconsistent with the 17 other types of glass already in the game.

    Copper Arrow (read desc)

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 07:16 AM PDT

    Copper Arrow

The copper arrow is a new type of arrow that is very unique compared to the other arrows. This arrow is crafted with 1 arrow and a new item called copper dust. This arrow can only be stacked up to 16.

    Copper Dust

Copper dust is made by putting a copper ingot in a crafting grid. You get 4 copper dust from a single copper ingot. So basically, you get 4 copper arrows from a single copper ingot.

    Copper Arrow Usage

The copper arrow can be fired by a bow or a crossbow. It can also be shot by a dispenser. This arrow deals the same damage as the normal arrow. This arrow is not affected by the Infinity enchantment but it is affected by Piercing and Multishot. The copper arrow requires one more step to be able to use its unique ability and it has something to do with the lightning rod.

    Lightning Rod Charge

When a lightning rod is struck by lightning, it would become charged. It would have a texture overlay similar to that of the charged creeper to indicate that it is charged. The charge on the lightning rod will disappear after a minute.

    Making Electric Charged Copper Arrow

To make use of the copper arrow's unique ability, it must be charged via a charged lightning rod. Just right-click the charged lightning rod with a copper arrow and it will become charged. It can only charge one arrow at a time so if you have many copper arrows, just hold right-click. You can only charge up to 16 copper arrows in a single charged lightning rod. When 16 copper arrows have been charged, the lightning rod will lose its cahrgeWhen a regular copper arrow is shot on a charged lightning rod, that copper arrow will become charged.

    The Copper Arrow's Ability

When a charged copper arrow hits a mob, it will shake and it will not be able to move for 15 seconds as if it's being taxed by a real-life taser. The mob will be unable to attack you. But, if the mob is touching water or rain, the duration of the electric shock will last 5 seconds longer. It also creates a subtle electric sound while being stunned. Sparking particles are also produced by the electrocuted mob. The electric shock from the copper arrow won't damage them but the arrow that hits them will. This arrow cannot convert any mobs into other mobs as the lightning strike does.

    Redstone

The charged copper arrow can also turn on any redstone components! If you hit a piston with a charged copper arrow, the piston will activate. This applies to dispensers, repeaters, doors, trapdoors, etc. If the arrow despawns or picked up by a player, the redstone component will stop being activated.

    Usefulness

This can be useful when transferring a mob. If you want the mob to get into a specific spot but it won't stop moving, you can use the charged copper arrow to stun it for 15 seconds (or longer when touching water).

    Conclusion

I believe that this can be a welcome addition to Minecraft. It gives more uses for copper and it introduces new gameplay. This can fit in with the new combat update that they're going to add to the game. I am sorry for my weird English, yes. Thank you and I hope you like this idea!

Fish should lay eggs in seagrass

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 01:35 AM PDT

Fish should be able to lay eggs in seagrass. This only happens once every 3-5 days to prevent overpopulation, and the fish do so only if there are 20 or more blocks of seagrass in the vicinity. If these requirements are met, and the water is more than 6 blocks deep, schools of fish will start swirling to the bottom of these seagrass fields within a 3 block radius of the seagrass, and start laying eggs on the ground. These eggs later burst open after 4 days, and the same amount of tiny baby fishlings as a school of fish come out. Not all of the fishlings make it though, there is a 50/50 chance that a fishling will be born as a fish item (dead). Protect these eggs from drowned, as they will try to stomp/spear them with their tridents!

    Silverfish & Endermite farming

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 11:39 AM PDT

Firstly, silverfish and endermite can be put inside an empty bucket. A bucketed silverfish/emite will not despawn, but will stay hostile. They can be bred with amethyst shards (since silverfish are so connected to stone and might eat crystals and such).

    Stonehive

The stonehive is a new block crafted from 8 smooth basalt and an amethyst shard. It looks like basalt with small holes. It acts somewhat similar to a beehive.

Endermite and silverfish will bond with the block, changing the properties of the block and itself. The stonehive becomes marked as either a silverfish or endermite stonehive, and although it has space for 3 entities, it will only let in the same mob as its first occupant. Endermite change little, but silverfish lose their ability to see through walls.

If a silverfish with a stonehive home sees a coal block, it goes over to it and "extracts" some coal. This does not effect the block. After spending a while extracting, the silverfish returns to the stone hive to deposit its coal, leaving a gray crack in the stonehive. When the stonehive is fully cracked, right clicking on it with a shovel extracts the coal and the cracks disappear. Endermite do the same but with redstone blocks, leaving red cracks in the stonehive and collecting redstone dust. (This somewhat references the redstone bug)

Shovels would now have dispenser function to harvest the coal and redstone (+all other shovel right click uses like campfire extinguishing and path making)

    Better Calcite

    Posted: 14 Jun 2021 07:47 PM PDT

We could make calcite a fully renewable material by giving it a crafting recipe (2 Bone Blocks + 2 Stone = 4 Calcite) and make it so that it at least have slabs and stairs to make it really useful

The same type of fish can stack to 16 in buckets

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 03:02 AM PDT

So instead of buckets of cod being unstackable, you can right click a bucket of cod on a cod to make a bucket of two cod.

You can craft two buckets of two cod together to make a bucket of water and a bucket of four cod and so on. You can also click the bucket of four cod on a fresh cod and make a bucket of five cod, etc.

The same would go for salmon and the same types of tropical fish.

    "Stocks"

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 07:48 AM PDT

You get the "Stocks" advancement when you Trade with every type of villager.
It's parent advancement is "What a deal!" (successfully trade with a villager).

If you don't quite understand what I mean by every type of villager, it means to trade at least once with a different villager with every type of profession.

I think this advancement would be a good idea because it gives more purpose to trading halls. There's also 15 types of villager jobs, giving this to be quite a challenge.

    Renewability of stone types

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 04:03 PM PDT

    Calcite

Calcite is composed entirely of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). The most suitable block for obtaining calcite is the dripstone block because it also consists of calcium carbonate. My option is the block of dripstone turns into calcite over time when it comes into contact with the budding amethyst.

    Tuff

Since tuff is of volcanic origin, in my opinion the best way to get tuff is to place a stalactite with lava above the water and wait for the lava drops to turn into tuff.

    Deepslate

Since deepslate are formed only at high depths under high pressure, and to justify their dark texture, I suggest getting a regular deepslate when, lava water and bedrock come into contact.

    Quartz

Although quartz can now be renewed with piglins, I think it is a good idea, when lightning bolt strikes the sand, it should form glass, mixed with chiseled blocks of quartz.

    Endstone

Sometimes endermen have to appear with an endstone in their hands.

    Sand

Made from quartz and gravel or obtained by dropping water droplets from stalactites onto sandstone or grinding on a grindstone.

    Gravel

When drops of water fall from a stalactite onto a cobblestone, it will turn into gravel

Also i think it is an interesting idea to use diamonds as fuel because of their chemical properties.

    Dog friendship mechanic

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 11:55 AM PDT

It would be cool if dogs had a friendship/loyalty mechanic where if you have them follow you, feed them, give them bones etc, then they get more health and do more damage. Obviously the more 'loyal' they are (more interactions=more loyalty) the more the damage/health would increase.

To avoid them being OP it could only be by a few hearts, but it would be nice for avid dog lovers to become friends with their companions, and for people who use them in combat (if any of those exist) to get a slightly stronger warrior buddy.

    spider rework

    Posted: 15 Jun 2021 03:02 PM PDT

lately, the developers have been talking a lot about using minecraft to raise awareness for endangered species, by adding these mobs to the game, and also making sure there isn't incentive to kill them. however, this made me start thinking about spiders in the game - why are they monsters? a lot of people are afraid of spiders, and i feel like having them as an almost always hostile monster to fight fuels the idea that spiders are monstrous, when they really aren't. instead of having them spawn randomly in the dark, and always hostile, perhaps instead they could spawn in webs or nests, and defend their nest if the player gets too close or destroys it, or even be neutral mobs that can be bred and give string without killing them, possibly making them farmable? just a few ideas. really, anything that makes them not evil monsters that attack players constantly would be good.
