| The Void [smp] {14+} {1.17.1} {Whitelist} Posted: 19 Jul 2021 09:20 AM PDT For these of you who never heard of The Void, It all began when a fellow minecrafter by the name of MWaters18 wanted to make a server for people to play and named it something like SurvivalSMP. I took part in that server and I enjoyed every second of it. Sadly after months the server had died (R.I.P original server) but then 2 years later(or 1 year and a few months ago today) We were in quarantine and for 2 months I had nothing to do. So I decided to open a new one and invite the guys from the old server + friends and some redditors that have contacted me after my post about this new server. The server became known as The Void and we grew up to 60+ unique players, not everyone played that much and some were just guys that wanted to check it out but even if we remove these guys there are like 45 others left playing day after day building, farming and doing what they love in this game. after 6 months of playing the server had died too it was amazing. Let me tell you some high points! Our community comes first. We have a group of people that are super friendly, willing to help new players, and are just fun to hang around and play games with. We just wiped 2 weeks ago and completely restarted our world, while taking a step back and going more for the vanilla side of things than plugins that change things. We have events where we all get in discord, have fun, and mess around while doing various things in Minecraft. New this week! Shops are out! A few shops have been popping up in our honor-based shop system! If you wish to corner a market and get out in the economy, this server may be for you! We let people set their own prices with in game items (Generally diamonds) and sell whatever they wish! Supplies, mats, services, you name it! Every 2 weeks (minimum) we will be having server wide events just to keep involvement. This past week was our Fairgrounds event! (There will be plenty more of those!) What do we have planned? In servers past we had a custom map teleportation plugin. (It's a very small, slightly easier way to get around the map, but won't be a big part of our server, nor will it be necessary to use it in any way). We plan to add that in later, once we build spawn out a bit more, but for now, they won't be implemented. We'll be doing at least monthly events, but we plan on doing events every two weeks currently. We do have a discord verification for our greylist.
