    Soaked apples

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 01:51 AM PDT

So with enchanted golden apples uncraftable and therefore extremely hard to obtain, what if you could use normal apples, I present soaked apples, if you put a potion in a cauldron and use a golden apple on it, it will become soaked with that potion effect and gain a new name and texture, e.g Apple of regeneration or poisonous apple, I just feel that this would be a cool feature and a good way to combine potions and saturation if your willing to put the time in. Here are some examples.

    Apple of regeneration: https://i.imgur.com/GtVFw27_d.webp?maxwidth=1520&fidelity=grand

    Poisonous apple: https://i.imgur.com/KQvk1Hv_d.webp?maxwidth=1520&fidelity=grand

    Apple of invisibility: https://i.imgur.com/6u3kufR_d.webp?maxwidth=1520&fidelity=grand

These are just 3 examples but I feel this could be a very interesting concept with some maybe even having achievements for eating. Let me know what you think.

There would be an achievement for eating a poisonous apple called 'Snow White '

You could put multiple effects on one apple but the effects would dampen each other out, e.g if you put on strength and speed they would be halved. The max amount of effects thar can be put on at once is 4 and the texture would split into the colours or maybe flick through them like Jeb with the rainbow but the potion colours.

There would be an achievement for eating a honey soaked apple called 'toffee apple!'

If you liked this post I'd really appreciate it if you could check out my YouTube and subscribe, you don't need to but it would mean the world to me: https://youtu.be/0afMSrZXE3g also if I can get 20 more subscribers in the next few days I'll post some videos explaining my ideas I'm depth

Deepslate should be instantminable with a netherite pickaxe

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 01:53 AM PDT

I have been playing both in 1.17 and 1.18experimental1 as of late and noticed that deepslate is very annoying to either gather or remove in any large quantity. I spend hours trying to get enough deepslate for a build in my 1.17 world and after playing the experimental snapshot thought about digging a hole below y0 and very quickly realised that it would take 10-15 times as long as with stone. I think everyones dug a large hole before and even with instantmine its a big task that takes hours sometimes and isnt particularly fun. Especialy gathering alot of it for large builds in survival would be very painfull without a way to instantmine or somehow gather it without mining. I get that deepslate is suppost to be harder to mine than stone and it makes perfect sense but from a gameplay perspective its just annoying. So i suggest that a normal efficiency 5 diamond pickaxe even with haste 2 shouldnt be able to instantmine deepslate since its harder than regular stone but if you spend the extra time to go find the ore of a different dimesion, in this case upgrade it to a netherite pickaxe, you should be able to instant mine deepslate. This would still keep deepslate as a hard material but would help alot especialy with endgame gameplay as it wouldnt make deepslate so annoying to remove. It would also give an extra reason to upgrade to a netherite pickaxe as besides the extra durability and lavaresistance its not actually much faster. Getting the setup to be able to instantmine is already hard and very late game and since beacon range is very limited and also not in any way overpowered. To "nerf" beacons like this and not being able to use them much for what is effectivly going to be 25% of the world seems weird to me.

    Wind on the mountains

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 03:30 AM PDT

When the player is on the high mountains, he occasionally hears the sounds of the wind. The higher you climb the mountains, the louder the wind sounds. And maybe even louder at night. There would be a good atmosphere, I think

give bats a little use in 1.17/1.18

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 12:24 AM PDT

If you were to feed a bat a glowberry it will point you in the direction of the nearest cave system (besides the one it's already in) with its body so if you get stuck at a cave's deadend you can keep going through the caves.

In creative mode, your inventory slots are extended

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 01:15 PM PDT

In case you need more slots to build in Creative mode, it'll simply expands your inventory slot from 36 to 72 (or less if too much) When you change to other gamemodes, the extra space is hidden and reappear when you go back to creative mode.

    Craftable rooted dirt

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 12:54 PM PDT

In 1.17, the rooted dirt block is currently very hard to come by, so what I'm suggesting is a crafting recipe with hanging roots and regular dirt, to make a rooted dirt block

    Boulders and Outcrops

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 08:04 AM PDT

Boulders and Outcrops would be randomly generating appearances in the Minecraft terrain. Boulders would be differently sized stone formations which would randomly occur in random sizes. Outcrops would be boulders which would usually be larger and would have ore veins in them, along with an additional block for distinction and visuals. There are five different types of outcrops being iron, copper, gold, emerald and diamond.

Outcrops and Boulders can be seen on the surface and in caves. Surface ones would occur with boulders being far more dominant than outcrops but in caves, outcrops begin becoming more and more common. Outcrops underground are also more rich with ores and if an outcrop spawns under y0, it will be made with deepslate rather than stone. Copper, gold and emerald outcrops will not spawn under y0 and emerald/gold outcrops won't spawn under y64.

The diamond outcrops are unique as they are the only outcrop which cannot spawn on the surface and can only spawn in the Deep Dark Biome. Their secondary block would be tuff.

Outcrops would come with different ores and different secondary blocks. Secondary blocks are blocks that also occur in the outcrop for details. Copper has granite as the secondary block, gold has terracota, diamond has tuff and emerald has calcite. Iron has no secondary block but could have andesite.

Additionally, boulders spawn everywhere and in all biomes. Iron and copper outcrops spawn in every biome except for some like icespikes and mesa. Emerald outcrops are only in mountains and gold outcrops are only in the mesa biome.

Spiders can't climb any variant of glass

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 02:39 PM PDT

Most IRL Spiders cannot climb a surface as smooth as glass. Basically they have nothing to grip into and thus cannot climb them.

This would work well in basic mob grinders for superflat worlds where you basically rely on fall damage to weaken the mobs. Spiders can no longer brush their feet into walls and negate all fall damage, and no spiders will clutter on a corner of the farm and contribute to the mob cap, preventing other hostiles such as Zombies and Creepers from spawning.

mixing andesite and cobbled deepslate should give tuff

    Posted: 18 Jul 2021 10:47 PM PDT

I mean, you can mix diorite with cobblestone to get andesite, diorite with nether quartz to get granite (or the other way around, don't remember completely) and cobblestone with nether quartz to get diorite (or granite) so, if tuff is the deepslate variant of andesite/diorite/granite, why can't you mix cobbled deepslate with andesite to get it?

(I just picked andesite cause that's my favorite, could be diorite or granite too)

a gamerule to reduce lag from laying items on the ground

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 09:58 AM PDT

    there are 2 example gamerules:

    1. itemDespawnTimer
with this command you can simply control the item despawn time, default is 6000 ticks (5 minutes), you can change it to for example 1000 ticks (50 seconds)

    2. StackingSize + StackingRadius
laying items get merged, stacking size would increase the merging limit (up to 1 stack, 1000 items or just 1), radius would increase the merging range (it might be 1 block, or even 10 blocks)

why? once when i was playing survival, i wanted to destroy the entire hill (to make a flat area), i even set up a beacon with haste, however i had to take breaks because thousands of laying items were causing massive lags and the inventory was filling up stupidly quickly, so i couldn't store items nearby or burn them, the entity counter said there's over 1500 entities in my area, more accumulated entities = more lag

    Add eagles to Minecraft.

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 10:41 AM PDT

Eagles would be a neutral mob spawning only on the highest mountains in 1.18. They would be much bigger than their real life counterparts. They would have nests, too, and would try to kill you if you walked into their territory.

However, by throwing some raw rabbit or salmon at them, you would be able to calm them down. Eventually, you might even be able to tame one as a flying mount, so long as you give it salmon from time to time. They would also need to rest from time to time, but would soon be re-energized.

I think this would be a good addition to the game. Right now, there isn't much of a reason to visit the new mountains in survival mode, and I think a flying mount would change that. It would fit into the mountains theme, as eagles are a common sight in real world mountains.

    Freezing

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 01:15 AM PDT

Freezing can be applied to a sword and cannot be stacked with fire aspect, bane of arthropods or smite. Freezing I will give mobs the freeze effect (from powder snow) for 4 seconds Freezing II will give mobs the freeze effect for 7 seconds The freezing effect also does x2 damage to blazes, magma cubes and striders

    edible honey blocks?

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 03:44 PM PDT

to me, honey blocks look like candy, so I think they would be a good food item. The honey block would restore the same as pumpkin pie, and remove poison like honey, due to it being 9 bottles worth of honey.

    customizable difficulty

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 04:21 PM PDT

something like a check on/off menu when setting your difficulty.

say you want to play peaceful, but you still want to be dependent on food and you want to be able to die of hunger.

or you want to play hard, but don't want zombies being able to break doors. or invisible spiders on speed.

or you play on easy/normal and you want all your villagers to turn into zombie villagers without the need to change your difficulty in the menu just for that.

hardcore mode would remain non customizable.

    Bottles of honey giving effects

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 05:40 AM PDT

I feel that it would be fun to have a chance to get an effect from honey as a reward for obtaining it. I present the sticky effect which you would have a 40% chance of getting sticky I and a 10% chance of getting sticky II. The sticky effect would allow you to slide down walls, with sticky II doing the same but you fall slower, this would last 10-15 seconds.

Another idea is sugar rush where you would get regeneration and swiftness, there is a 50% chance for this (so you'll get either sticky or sugar rush)however once the effects end there is a 25% chance that you will get the effect sugar crash, where you get nausea and slowness for 15 seconds

I really like both ideas and I think they are 'sweet'.

For the sugar rush effect credit to: u/grindenwald for giving me the idea.

For the sugar crash effect credit to: u/Acidic_sap for adding on to the sugar crash idea.

Please send some love their way, anyway thanks for reading.

Make the barrel’s usage as a job block controllable

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 12:42 PM PDT

So, as some of you may know, in the bedrock beta 1.9.0.2, two unused textures for barrels were added: the fish barrel and the empty barrel. The empty barrel was later repurposed as an "open" texture, but the fish texture was removed. My idea is that the barrel's usage as a job site block for villagers can now be controlled, while utilising the fish barrel texture at the same time.

Currently, villagers can take a barrel as their job site block whenever they want. On bedrock this is particularly annoying, as villagers can claim the job without walking right up to the block. This makes it much harder to use them as decoration. To combat this, barrels could only be suitable for usage as a job block when they meet two conditions:

    • They have at least two different types of fish in (raw and cooked are counted as different e.g. raw cod and cooked cod, raw salmon and pufferfish etc)
    • They only have fish in them (empty slots are fine)

When these conditions occur, the barrel will take the texture of the fish barrel and will become suitable for villagers to take it as their job block. Through this system, your house that you decorate with barrels will not be infested with villagers.

Also, you can use the fish barrel texture for decoration by only putting one type of fish in the barrel.

TLDR: Villagers only take the profession of fisherman when specific conditions regarding the items in a barrel are met.

    Bats should be smarter

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 06:26 AM PDT

The current bat AI needs improvements for the cave update and I have two ideas:

1.Bats now seek dark and avoid light:

This stops them from constantly dying in lava.

2.Bats fly outside of caves at night:

Bats are nocturnal and go outside at night (to seek food). Makes sense to add that behavior to Minecraft too to make them more interesting.

Zombified Villages Should Be Able to Generate Underground

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 05:20 AM PDT

In the new experimental snapshot villages can sometimes partly generate in caves. I know this is not an intentional feature, but it would be cool if it was a rare occurrence in the full release.

Perhaps if in the location that a zombified village would normally generate on the surface, if there's a big enough space underground it could generate there. This would make them extremely rare.

I'm not suggesting a completely new type of village or any new structures, since zombified villages already exist. I just think it would be a cool rare feature if they were allowed to spawn underground.

Growing Large Azalea Trees to create a bunch of Rooted Dirt

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 01:53 PM PDT

Okay, kinda dumb, but hear me out.

You know how you can grow Spruce, Jungle, and Dark Oak trees using a 2x2 sapling configuration to grow them larger? (in Dark Oak's case, the only way to grow them)

And when a Spruce Tree is grown in a 2x2 format, it creates one of those Mega Spruce Trees and converts surrounding Dirt and Grass into Podzol?

Well why can't the same apply to Azalea Trees and Rooted Dirt? It would be a more efficient way of creating it rather than one block at a time per sapling.

Growing Azalea Bushes with Bone Meal in a 2x2 configuration would grow a Large Azalea Tree. It would be about 2 or 3 blocks taller than the normal Azalea Tree, and the leaves would spread out all around instead of leaning in one direction. The rate for Flowering Azaleas generating stays the same, as you'll already find more due to more leaves generating

When grown, the Large Azalea Tree would convert the top layer of dirt surrounding it to Rooted Dort in a radius similar to Podzol with Large Spruce.

But if you prefer, it could instead generate the Rooted Dirt in a style similar to the large blobs you find below naturally generated Azalea Trees / Ceiling of Lush Caves near the surface)

    Tether enchantment

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 10:05 AM PDT

Tether is an enchantment that can be applied to bows When a bow is shot the arrow would be on a string, if the arrow hit a mob, it would pull the mob back, however you would still lose an arrow and the arrow would still deal damage

I just wanted an enchantment to pull people with a bow, and I feel like this would really work, the tether could look like a trident string from loyalty.
