Posted: 18 Aug 2021 11:38 PM PDT The Lost Trader is a rare variant of the Wandering Trader, found underground. Their robes are tattered, torn, dirty and singed from their time lost in the deep. Their trades vary wildly: a mix of classic trades from their time adventuring the surface, and items found underground such as stones, hostile mob drops, basic tools, and rarely, ores. They lack the llamas and Invisibility potions that accompany them on the surface, having died and been used up long ago, and instead choosing to run away from any danger. They will attempt to follow the player back to the surface, sticking close, but will run the direction the player came if they continue to head down into the belly of the earth. Upon death, They can drop a variety of items: 0-2 leads, 0-1 Emeralds, 0-1 Glow Berries. Overall, I believe this to be an interesting addition to the new caves. In a land of unfamiliar, hostile terrain, the Lost Trader offers a sense of familiarity, friendliness, and potentially even a helping hand in a time of need. EDIT: Quite a few people in the comments have mentioned a reward for if you lead the Trader back to the surface. Can't believe that didn't occur to me! Thinking on it, the Trader would drop some Emeralds, and maybe one or two of the more rarer items found in underground loot chests (enchanted books, golden apples, etc) before running off into the wilderness. Posted: 19 Aug 2021 12:25 PM PDT Would be pink and just as easy to find as lapis, and would have the same qualities as all the other ores (blocks) (I'm awful with names so I didn't name it yet) Put already enchanted gear on the enchanting table and add the new ore where the lapis would normally go. This would allow you to upgrade one of your enchantments, for example unbreaking 1 would become un breaking 2 or 3 (higher levels need more of the ore and more xp) This would make the enchanting table more than a 5 to 10 use table and would make enchanting with the table useful again instead of just using books! Amethyst Shards and Enchanting Table Posted: 18 Aug 2021 11:00 PM PDT Currently, Amethyst Shards only have 2 uses, So I thought of another one that would make it unique! Introducing : GeneralWhen you interact with a Enchanting Table, You are greeted with the default one, so my suggestion is, add a 3rd box near the lapis box and the item to be enchanted box, It would have a amethyst shard shape, When you place a Amethyst Shard, A Enchantable Item and Lapis, The Enchanting Table Text would have a purple glow, When you hover your mouse around it or seeing what enchantment there is, There will be a description below the Enchanting name saying What that Enchantment Does, When you enchant an item with lapis and amethyst shard, The Amethyst shard would be used and will disappear. Why?Some new players don't know what some enchantments do, Like "What does Smite do" or "What does Riptide do" so now, this new system helps new players know what enchantments do! The Amethyst Shard would be some sort of magical translator for unknown languages, thus, being able to translate enchanting table text. [link] [comments] |
Mushroom Caves & The Shroom Glutton Posted: 19 Aug 2021 05:08 AM PDT Mushroom CavesMushroom caves would be very large, sometimes with giant shrooms that act as platforms above the water. This specific cave biome would generate under the mushroom islands. Not many special ores would be found here. It would mostly be iron and coal. Geodes can also generate down here. It isn't a safe haven like the islands though! Regular mobs like bats or mooshrooms can spawn here but can there are also shroom gluttons. Shroom GluttonBased off of the skin (with the same name) from the biome settlers skin packs, The shroom glutton is a thick, brown/ red and white mob with a larger body with smaller limb size to that of the player. Lore: The glutton was originally a zombie that was stranded on the mushroom islands, forced to feed on mushrooms that infected it until they took over its feeble mind. As a fungus-controlled puppet, the shroom glutton became smarter than the usual zombie. It hunts mooshrooms when hungry, similar to a piglin. It also flees underground or to the nearest giant mushroom when the sun rises. Gluttons attack the player by inflicting them with the fungus, with acts like a poison (doesn't completely kill them). The player has to be careful when attacking, because the glutton may also release spores when hit. There is a short delay before the spores are released. Upon death, they drop mushrooms of either kind. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2021 08:10 AM PDT ah wolfs, they kill sheep and skeletons and u can tame them with bones and they live in packs, once tamed they can sit or stand if there sitting they wont move and if there standing they follow u and if u get to far away they teleport. this is a pretty good description of the Minecraft wolf, so i decided to turn these basic mobs into actual good bois. wild wolfs the wolfs of the wild would be changed quite a bit, packs would now sleep during day or night depending on the biome, in forests, plains and taiga there nocturnal and in snowy taiga and snowy plains there diurnal, they live in there den, a small cave that can fit the pack, speaking of packs there are changes to them pack changes the wolf packs would now have a structure, the two alphas are at the top then all the beats which number around 6-8 and the pups of which there are about 3 on average, the hunting strats are different to, for sheep its just a all in attack, but the wolfs have new prey to, for polar bears they sneak up and then circle the bear before charging it, and for zombies they do two things 1 if its one zombie then they attack it like the sheep if its a horde then its like the polar bear, the packs would also travel a lot, op to 1500 blocks per minecraft day, hunting for food these new wolfs would travel across forests, plains and taiga snowy taiga and snowy plains, the wolfs tho would also return to the den in the night or day depending on biome, now in and around the den would be an area which the pups could play a little ( more on that later ) the adults could sleep, play with the pups or plan when to hunt, as hunts dont happen everyday but typically once every 2 days, not all hunts are successful tho. overall tho that pretty much covers these changes, packs now are more organized more lively and a bit more rare, one wolf pack on average will spawn for every second biome in which they can spawn, and yes /locate works on dens, they are structures that spawn with the wolfs and also they can be small to medium stone holes or huge lush caves that the wolfs can rest in and play with the axolotls. the coat of these new wolfs the new wolfs would be 2 blocks long 1 block wide and 1 block tall, they would have a coat similar to this, the white one would only spawn in the snowy biomes and the other 3 would spawn everywhere else here is the reddit post there from so all credit goes to the maker of these fantastic wolf textures https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/j0px29/custom_wolf_models_i_made/ there is the link to the og post, the only difference is that these wolfs wouldn't have the bumps and dents in the coat that these ones do they would be as flat as the original wolfs and everything else is the same. now, that is for the adults, the pups would look like the pups of the original wolfs and if u tame them before they grow up when they do grow up u get the og dogs and if u tame the new wolfs when there adults they would keep there coat. also one more thing they wont kill u unless provoked but they kill spiders for string and skelis for bones so your safer by wolfs. tamed wolfs tamed wolfs would be changed to so lets see what they get play ( this also apply to wild wolf ) the play of these animals is where the dogs stand out from the crowd, but first lets talk about how the wolfs play cus they play to just a little different , the wolf would play fight a bit but only the pups under adult supervision, they would also play tug of war with string they get from spiders that come on there territory, they also love to race each other and play a bit of tag, they play tag by doing this, one wolf gets a stick and the other wolfs run, if the wolf with the stick trochees another wolf with the stick then they are on and the wolf with the stick drops the stick and the other wolf picks it up, now dogs also play tug of war and tag and race each other like the wolfs but they also play fetch and play hide and go seek if they can, fetch is simple u fire an stick with a crossbow and they fetch it, hide and go seek is where the wolfs try to hide from u and if u get close enough then they come, although they mostly hide behind blocks and u can use a goat horn to bring them back anytime and they come, the stay option dogs now can stay in a place without teleporting to u but they can move, u can get a dog to stay by getting a lead and combing it with a bone to get a dog fence, dog fences are leads that are red and also can be placed on fences, if you place a fence around an area and put dog fence on top then they the dogs can be tolled to sit, but there must be no way the dogs can escape to activate stay and yes fence gates works to, now if you make dog fence you can do this, lets say you have a fenced of area where you want your dogs to stay, then just put on fence on each corner and attach a dog fence to each and u have an area where they can sit small stuff 1 wolfs and dogs actually eat the food they get and also need to drink water every 2 Minecraft days, so dens are often by ponds, so build your good bois a little area where they can drink from 2 wolfs and dogs also play in the water a bit, and by play i mean run around, and 3 its possible to know when your dogs want to play they just bend down with there tail in the air and u know they wana play something. ok thank u for reading this and please post feedback as there may be stuff that could make it better that just flew over my head or stuff that doesn't need to be here. Posted: 18 Aug 2021 09:12 PM PDT So what if biomes had mini biomes inside of them. Like what if the desert had a village sized biome called an oasis, swamps could have algae swamps, etc). [link] [comments] |
Several new bird mobs (part 2) Posted: 19 Aug 2021 06:06 AM PDT Owl Owls would be neutral mobs that would spawn in a dark forest. During the day, owls would sleep until someone disturbed them (breaks a block under them or attacks). At night, owls are actively looking for food, which they serve as forest birds and rabbits. Also at night, owl eyes have a glowing effect, like the eyes of spiders or endermen. If the player attacks an owl, then it will attack them, in the normal state, owls try to avoid the player, flying away from him. The owl could also be tamed by feeding it raw chicken or raw rabbit. A tamed owl would sit on the player's shoulder and attack the mobs that the player attacks. [link] [comments] |
Several new bird mobs (part 3) Posted: 19 Aug 2021 07:02 AM PDT Penguin Penguins would be the new passive mobs that spawn on glaciers. The penguins would not be in the least afraid of the player until he attacks them. They would also lay eggs, like turtles, but there is always only one penguin egg per block, the egg can be picked up by clicking on it. Another feature of penguins is that they are able to live under water, they would go down there in search of food for themselves and their children. The penguin hunt proceeds as follows: the penguin lowers itself under the water and attacks the nearest fish, after which it eats the object dropped from it, then, if the penguin has a cub, he catches another fish and takes the object to the surface in his beak, where he feeds the cub. The penguin can also be tamed, if you steal an egg and grow it away from parents, the tamed penguin will always follow the player. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2021 06:48 AM PDT The end cloak is a new armour which is unique to end cities. This armour peice goes on your Chestplate slot but covers all of your body in a cloak with a hood It would be completely black in an enderman texture and have 2 purples eyes. It would also be very rare appearing in about 5% of end city chests and 10% of End ship chests. It's main use is that ender man will not get mad at you and will be completely passive making you able to look at then and punch then freely. It's other uses would be gliding down to a slow descent (slow falling not elytra) and being able to eat chorus fruit without consequence. It's disadvantage is that it will take away a chunk if your armour and will lose durability when being hit. It also takes rapid damage in water. It can be repaired with ender pearls or mending and only accepts mending and unbreaking for enchantments [link] [comments] |
Bring back the old glass sound Posted: 19 Aug 2021 07:59 AM PDT The old sound for placing down glass was unique and sounded like something dense like glass was being placed. The current sound of it sounding like stone just doesnt fit, and sounds rather hollow. This would also keep up with the theme of mojang giving new sounds to blocks that previously had generic ones [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2021 12:34 PM PDT The Nether now in days is a realy cool place if you like a hell-like terrain, but there are two biomes wich are just not that good: The Soul Sand Valley and The Basalt Deltas so I decided to add a litle bit of spice to The Soul Sand Valley. The Lost Soul is a mob wich lookes like a tipical Minecraft soul. It comes in two varriants: passive, and hostile. The passive one will wonder around and it will not atack anything. It will have 2-5 health and will be as fast as a blaze. It will drop 0-2 Soul Sand and 0-2 Soul Soil. It will scare away Piglins and Hoglins as well. The hostile one will have 4-8 health and atacks meale like a zombie. It will deal 2-5 damage. It will have the same drops and will also scare Piglins and Hoglins. Iron and Snow golems atack them. That's it. [link] [comments] |
Axolotls with different bucket colors. Posted: 18 Aug 2021 08:00 PM PDT So, when you scoop up an axolotl with a bucket, no matter the color of the axolotl, you will always get a Lucy axolotl on the buckets texture. I want it so that if you scoop up a gold axolotl for instance, the axolotl on the bucket texture will be gold. Also when you scoop up an axolotl with a nametag, the buckets name is always going to be the axolotls name, it'd be better if were just Bucket of [Name] [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2021 03:02 PM PDT So as you all must know, in every single one of dream's manhunts, the hunters have a compass that tracks dream. So a command to give you that kind of compass could be /give @p compass {track player [player username]} It would be very useful for people who want to do manhunt with their friends [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2021 06:57 AM PDT My friend and I own a realm and we noticed that in the settings for the realms there is a lot missing from when you edit a solo world like for example the Simulation Distance sooo a fix for that? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Aug 2021 01:28 PM PDT ok so i did a wolf overhaul and posted it here and then i was like, wait what about foxes, so now where here, so yeah, um fox time the fox den ok so as we hopefully should all know foxes' live in dens, so yeah what do they look like, well they have a little entrance in which the foxes enter, this entrance is a 1 block hole that leads to a tunnel that goes 5 blocks down and 5 blocks across before entering the main den area, then there is the sleeping area, which is small hole able to allow anywhere up to 10 foxes so there is always more than enough area for all the foxes to sleep in, then there is the food storage area, where chicken and rabbit is stored for later use, the food is dropped and can not despawn, luckily the food chamber can only hold 5 items max and there is also only 1 per den. unluckily there can be up to 5 fox dens per biome luckily again the foxes eat 1 piece of food every night, 2 if the food chamber is full. new habitats apart from there old home of the three taiga variants they also have a cupule new homes, the forest, the dark oak forest, in which you can see one roaming around during the day thanks to the dense canopy, the mountain meadow, mountain grove the artic variant only spawns here, and the flower forests, in which all foxes spawn with flowers on there head head the flowers can be any 1 block tall flower or sun flowers. play foxes now like to play, they race each other and will happily steal any chicken that you drop, then they run away, they also love to play with any wool you leave for them as well they think its a ball and so if one grabs the wool the others chase the fox and try to get the wool for them selves. small stuff 1 foxes can now swim a bit. 2 foxes often sleep together and may even hug each other with there tails 3 foxes now play with other mobs, they race and play tug of war with the wolf pup as even tho wolfs hunt foxes the pups dont really care they just wana play and so when the adults are not looking they do play with the foxes for a small bit and then the foxes return to there home ( if the adult wolfs haven't driven them of already. they also swim with the axolotls if they live by a lush cave. ok so pls give a little feedback if you think there's something i missed or that doesn't need to be here and because I'm a shameless self promoter here is the link to the wolf overhaul, https://www.reddit.com/r/minecraftsuggestions/comments/p7gpcc/wolf_overhaul/ now, bye ill be back with another one of these stupidly long suggestions tomorrow [link] [comments] |
The Forest Woodbeast, mini-boss of the mutated biomes, scaring off settlers Posted: 19 Aug 2021 06:59 AM PDT The Forest Woodbeast is a large, monstrosity made from wood and vines making up its body, with two large arms, four vines for legs and a massive sentient eye. It spawns in forests and has a similar size to The Warden. When fought, this mini-boss is able to knock foes far back. It does 3 - 5 hearts of damage at most (depending on your difficulty). It can also raise sharp roots by slamming the ground. The woodbeast has no connection to The Warden lore-wise, despite the similar designs. Whatever you do, DO NOT look at the EYE in the woodbeast's chest. By staring at the eye for a few seconds, the player will become subject to blindness. The forest woodbeast may use this to attack more frequently in your battle. Upon death, it drops vines and wood, but may also drop the eye, which is like an artifact found in the upcoming archaeology. It can be placed similar to a conduit [link] [comments] |
Undead Vikings and Viking Helmets! Posted: 18 Aug 2021 09:50 PM PDT Undead Vikings spawn in any snowy biome, like strays, instead of zombies. Their AI is the same, but spawn with a Stone Axe at the same rate normal zombies spawn with Iron Shovels, they also can spawn with an Iron Axe at the same rate that normal zombies spawn with an Iron Sword. They can also spawn equipped with an Viking Helmet, which gives the same protection as an Iron Helmet, but has Horns on it. The helmet cannot be crafted, but can be repaired by using either Iron Ingost (repairs as much as an ingot would do in an Iron Helmet) or with a Goat Horn (Always Repairs Half of the Max Durability). The helmet, apart from looking cool, also gives more armour toughness than a normal Iron Helmet, and reduces the chance of getting rammed by a Goat. PD: I now historically Vikings didn't had horns in their helmets, but that is the common way of picturing one. I also know that Terraria also has an Undead Viking, but the only resemblance is the name, those are skeletons without any special drop, that spawn underground and doesn't use any weapons, so there is no similarity. The Endergaunt, banished and broken beyond repair Posted: 19 Aug 2021 11:05 AM PDT LoreLong ago, the enderlings wanted to escape The End without dying. They ran experiments for months (or how long a month is equivalent to in The End, may be centuries, hours or an eternity) until their sorcerers learnt how to use magic, similar to the illagers. When they teleported endermen and they didn't return, the enderlings believed that they had basically got away with MURDERING and decided to banish them. But not before TEARING their legs off. PremiseEndergaunts are hovering enderlings with lime eyes, wearing green robes with purple stains and an emerald necklace. They also wear a cape similar to the banners found within End Cities. They spawn after the defeat of The Enderdragon, implying that the dragon keeps endergaunts at bay. Endergaunts are aggressive towards players and endermen, attacking them with magic attacks like shulker bullets. The endergaunt also has a shockwave attack that levitates players and teleport them 15 blocks away. It isn't VERY dangerous since it operates similarly to chorus fruit. Upon death, they can drop a End City Banner or an emerald, along with xp and an ender pearl. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Aug 2021 08:54 PM PDT My idea is for a new squid variant, which is invisible. The squid itself is visible, but it is silent and it is very transparent, as well as having water camouflage. It would spawn in the same conditions as glow squids. It will give invisible ink sacs, which can be used for a variety of things. One of the uses would be to add it to a potion of invisibility, which would remove the particle effects. You could also craft an invisible item frame, which works the same way as the one you can get with commands. Another use would be to dye leather armor, which would make it invisible. This gives leather armor use in the means of having some armor while invisible, as well as possibly making another player think youre weaker than you are. One use im not too sure about would be using a fermented spider eye on the improved invisibility potion or the invisibility ink sac/a regular ink sac on a night vision potion to create a visibility potion. It would make the armor visible, the item frames visible, and invisible people slightly visible, but mostly transparent. It would also make the squid itself fully opaque. Another cool easter egg with the potion could be the ability to dye signs invisible, and the text could only be read with the potion effect. Thanks for reading :) [link] [comments] |
[Realms] Corrupted chunk recovery Posted: 19 Aug 2021 09:23 AM PDT I have seen several people on reddit complain that it is difficult or impossible to recover corrupt chunks and have to roll back the entire world. Especially since you are paying them money you should be able to have them recover chunks from backups for you. [link] [comments] |
