Stop equating redstone with electricity Posted: 05 Aug 2021 05:03 AM PDT I see posts giving copper uses related to redstone and thats great, more uses to a currently decorative item Although the reasoning makes no sense. Reasons such as 'this adds realism cuz electricity' no it doesnt, as redstone isnt electricity Just cuz theyre called circuits doesnt mean they are electric. Redstone is magic so realism doesnt make much sense Again, im not saying copper uses in redstone is a bad idea, but just keep in mind that redstone isnt electricity [link] [comments] |
Powered rails should be made from copper instead of gold Posted: 04 Aug 2021 08:21 PM PDT copper is pretty useless right now, doing this will give it another purpose. copper is also conductive in real life so this would add realism to the game [link] [comments] |
rabbits shouldn't die by fall damage Posted: 05 Aug 2021 12:26 PM PDT cats already can't so why not rabbits? they jump. and they die so easily it's worse transporting them than villagers. since they are a jumping mob, they shouldn't keep jumping to their doom. this will extend to the jump boost potion and beacon effect. not complete fall damage, but the damage should be lower if you have the effect. let's face it, no one even uses jump boost. could be more fun if it was buffed a bit. If a player heals an iron golem to full HP, the iron golem will reward them by giving them a poppy. Posted: 05 Aug 2021 01:20 PM PDT Exactly what the title says. Since iron golems already distribute poppies to baby villagers, I think it would be interesting if they gave them to players too. [link] [comments] |
Gamerule for keeping experience after death Posted: 05 Aug 2021 11:51 AM PDT This suggestion is simple. For new players, keep inventory is a great gamerule to make the game feel less punishing. However, since multiplayer is an important part of minecraft, older players and newer players might not agree on the difficulty of the world in question. For example: I play with my sister. She likes keep inventory on, but I feel like it removes consequences of dying. So why not add another option? Solution: /gamerule ExpierienceRetainedPercentage <0-100> Default value: 0. 100 = You keep all your levels upon death. This allows for people who want to play as safe as possible, and servers might want the ability to store xp without needing some laggy plugin or datapack. 1-99 = Upon respawning, you will retain the percentage specified of your experience. This could be useful for players who want to have some challenge but don't want to be back to zero levels after their 300 levels were erased by a creeper while they were afk. Want to keep half of your xp? A quarter? The choice would be yours. 0 = When you die, you lose all experience, regardless of whether keepinventory is true or false. This allows newer players to enjoy the game, and since most new players don't worry about learning enchanting for a while, this would most likely not bother them. This separation of xp and inventory would, however, enable veterans to enjoy some aspect of consequences while playing with less skilled players. I think it would benefit the game, and is a nice QOL idea. Let me know your thoughts on adding this. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Aug 2021 09:30 AM PDT Ok we need to fix these things, we need to make it so after too long from outside of water they will go back in and they won't leave a certain radius of the water, we need this cause if the tank isn't big or block off from the surface they will hop out of the water and stay out until they die. Creeper explosion cooldown for fall damage Posted: 05 Aug 2021 07:52 AM PDT I'm sure if you've played Minecraft in Java version, you've tried Hardcore Mode and I'm also sure if you've played Hardcore Mode at least... i don't know, 10 times, you've already died for something I call ninja creeper, well I don't know if it's a glitch, or a bug or if it might just be a mechanic to get us mad, but the ninja creeper is basically when the creeper drops anywhere near you and it explodes instantly don't even have specific time for it to charge the your explosion animation, and explode, for that I imagine the creeper should have a cooldown when falling from a high place or taking falling damage so we can simply have time to defend ourselves with our shield, Q: What would be the cooldown time? A: 1 sec, is more than enough It may feel like I'm just complaining or I'm just crying because I LoSt mY mAp iN My HaRdCOrE MoDE, but believe me, that's a lot, and I say, A LOT, more normal than you guys think, well, this is my idea [link] [comments] |
Villagers afraid of Ominous Banners Posted: 04 Aug 2021 10:01 PM PDT Basically if a villager saw a banner while walking, it would path find at least 2 blocks away from the banner. Since villager children don't know to be scared of pillagers, they would freely go and not get deterred by the banners. [link] [comments] |
Rain should increase the speed of copper oxidation. Posted: 05 Aug 2021 08:50 AM PDT I have done some research and at least what my tiny brain thinks is correct is that rain can possibly speed up the oxidizing speed of copper. Or I am completely wrong who knows. (also i'm not sure what flair to use for this so I'm just using this one.) [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Aug 2021 01:37 PM PDT Copper was recently added to minecraft in 1.17. So why not add a new item that is crafted with copper. The dog whistle! [link] [comments] |
Totems refill your hunger bar as well Posted: 04 Aug 2021 10:49 PM PDT If the pillagers or whoever made these can warp life surely they can refill your hunger [link] [comments] |
Make rooted dirt slower to mine Posted: 05 Aug 2021 12:03 PM PDT I've dug holes before and roots are the fucking worst so I think if they made it slower to mine with a shovel then normal dirt then it would be nice to have some more realism. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Aug 2021 10:29 AM PDT Seashells are considered a common item while a heart of the sea is considered a rare item. Both have the only purpose of being crafted into a conduit with 8 seashells and one heart of the sea, yet seashells are a pain to find compared to hearts of the sea (except if you have a drowned farm). In all my survival worlds where i actually explored, I found dozens of hearts for only 10-15 seashells, which is ridiculous when you compare their rarity. Even if you can buy or fish nautilus shells, they are still very uncommon. IMO there should be more ways to get seashells, an obvious one being a small percentage of chance to get one when digging sand. Eventually there could be one in fishermen's barrels and in treasure chests, or a small drop chance with ancient guardians. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Aug 2021 12:18 PM PDT so i just watched a video of a witch falling into powdered snow and just creating an infinite loop, so my idea is that it drinks a levetation potion and flies out of the snow [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Aug 2021 11:12 AM PDT Just a small change that would improve the game. There should be a throwable variant of spawn eggs. [link] [comments] |
New Crop - Grapes (DON’T SCROLL AWAY-) Posted: 04 Aug 2021 10:17 PM PDT Alright, so Grapes. How can grapes be grown and found? Grapes can be gotten from tall oak trees. These trees have a 20% chance of being vine trees. Vine trees are tall ok trees with vines on them that have grapes. Removing the grapes makes the vine a normal vine and gives 2-4 grape seeds. Now, the growing part. Grapes can be grown using a Trellis. The Trellis can be crafted using 2 sticks in the middle left and right alongside planks in the middle and top and bottom left and right. Trellis occupy 2 spaces of blocks up and 1 in other directions. Right clicking the bottom of a Trellis with grapes will cause the grapes to grow at the speed of cocoa beans. Harvesting the grape vine on the trellis gives you 1-3 grape seeds and 3-5 grapes. What are the uses of grapes? Grapes heal up 1 hunger / meat pop alongside very slight saturation. Grapes can be left in the sun using an item frame. After 2 minutes, they turn into Dried Raisins. These restore 3 hunger points and give slightly more saturation than a cooked porkchop. The grapes can also be placed in a crafting table with a water bottle and a jar (made using 5 glass in a boat shape) to get an empty bottle back and a jar of grape jam which, when eaten, heal up 3.5 meat pops, give as much saturation as steak and give the resistance effect for 30 seconds (due to grapes being able to revitalize skin) Extra Facts:

Posted: 05 Aug 2021 03:53 PM PDT The Idea: A new block that allows the player to display items. This block could either be a display case that the item sits inside, or a pedestal the item hovers above (I'm not sure which would be better honestly). Items placed on/in the display block would hover and rotate as they do when dropped on the ground. The Reason: Minecraft has a lot of unique and storied items. Some are obtained by overcoming challenges in the game, while others gain their value in sentiment through the player's own experiences. As you progress in a Minecraft world you might acquire a good number of items that you consider trophies or mementos. But so far there has been only one way to proudly showcase these items. While Item frames are nice and have received a recent upgrade. I think the game would benefit from a more dynamic option of display. The Implementation: I imagine the display block as a mid to late game item. I don't think it should necessarily be difficult to craft, but it should require something from either the Nether or the End in its recipe. I've already made a post about this on the Minecraft Feedback site, but recently heard about this subreddit and thought it might be good to present the idea here as well. Here is a link to suggestion on Feedback if you are interested: Display Block [link] [comments] |
Posted: 04 Aug 2021 10:08 PM PDT Basically EVERYONE, yes i mean everyone knows that don't dig and fall in the middle tile and you'll be ok, so to make desert pyramids harder to raid, the pressure plate should generate on random tiles so that you can't just blindly dig a random hole except the middle one and jump in [link] [comments] |
How to make the Jungle Temples better in Minecraft Posted: 05 Aug 2021 04:25 AM PDT Jungle Temples are getting old now and need to be fixed, here are my ideas to fix this. Jungle Temples: A rare structure that generates in the Jungle Biome, It is made up of five sections each containing a different challenge for the player to complete. The sections are 7*6*6 blocks (except for the last room which is 8*8*8) and are made out of mossy stone and other stone variants and the rooms are decorated with vines and cobwebs lit up with candles, the rooms are connected by mechanical doors using pistons. Someone give me an anti mining idea for this because I don"t know what to do. Room 1: A room with 4 levers where you must enter a code to get to the next room, it also on the floor has chiseled stone bricks in a seemingly random pattern. Room 2: A room with stone pressure plates on every part of the floor and has dispensers on the side that will shoot poison arrows at you if you mess up, you have to jump and move across the floor in the correct pattern that which corresponds with the room one pattern and then open the door to the next room. Room 3: A combat room containing 3 of a new skeleton variant called Lost that works exactly like skeletons except shoots poison arrows. Room 4: A parkour room with lava below that will be quite easy leading to the opened door of the next room. Room 5: A room with a trapped double chest that if you open closes the door behind you and floods the room with lava, the double chest also has two observers behind it that do the exact same thing if you break the chest. This means you have to destroy the observers behind the chest and then destroy the chest to get the loot. Lost: A variant of skeleton that spawns in the jungle Biome and shoots poison arrows at you, to convert a skeleton into one you need to put a skeleton in a cauldron full of poison potion. Posted: 05 Aug 2021 10:26 AM PDT So new gamerule, leaves decaying speed. It would be pretty useful. I know that you can speed decaying with tick speed but It is kinda annoying while you also want the copper to be normalny oxidizing. And I know there're datapacks for this but players sleeping percentage was added so why don't add this too? [link] [comments] |
Bubbleweed/berry- Water Breathing Naturally Posted: 05 Aug 2021 11:08 AM PDT The idea of this is simple, a rare seaweed varient found in the ocean that gives you a small water breathing effect. There are a few ways to go about this, but I think the plant shouldn't be that good, as water breathing potions already have their place. Version 1 - Bubbleweed The plant would grow in lower areas of the ocean and give a small 1 min or 30 sec water breathing effect. The plant would emit small amounts of bubbles to show it's location like soul sand (to a lesser degree) By walking into the plant underwater, it would give the player the water breathing effect or just refill the player's breath. After this, it could return to normal seaweed OR recharge after a time limit. Version 2 - Bubbleberry This would be a rare seaweed that produces a berry that when harvested gives a berry with the same stats as sweet berries. When surrounded by lapis (or maybe gold) gives it would give around 1 min- 1min30sec water breathing effect. They can't be planted or moved from their original location or taken out of water. It might also be too strong of an idea, so potential other ways to balance it out would be helpful. [link] [comments] |
Blast protection armor shouldn't be destroyed by explosions. Posted: 05 Aug 2021 10:56 AM PDT It could vary by chance and by how powerful the enchant is, e.g. lvl 1 should be 25% and so on. [link] [comments] |
the end should be a dimension of chaos Posted: 04 Aug 2021 06:57 PM PDT The end is not a normal place. A twisted landscape of concentric rings of shattered islands surround the main island, populated by clams that make you float and 3 meter tall humanoids that speak a garbled language; this is no normal place to visit. The end is a dimension where weirdness reigns supreme. Strange things like visual changes, greyscale biomes, colour invert biomes or liquid that flows upward. fields of thin imposing pyramids of endstone. Things that you would never expect to see in the overworld or nether exist in the end, giving it a unique feel rather than just having purple trees or whatever. What are some ideas you have for a chaos themed end dimension [link] [comments] |
