We are Playhouse SMP and always looking for like-minded people to play Minecraft with us. We are a vanilla survival java server for adults. Are you looking for a friendly and tight community? This is it! We all have things to do in our lives, be it kids, work, or studies. We simply cannot devote every minute of the day to Minecraft, even if we wanted to sometimes. A while ago, a group of players who met through different servers, noticed we are all looking for a place to hang out and play, but never really found it. So we decided to create it ourselves. As we were all in our 30s, we noticed we have less time to play than our younger counterparts and we need a steady place where we can play at our own pace. We were tired of servers shutting down, resetting maps just when we were getting started, leaving us to have to start over again. Because of this, we decided to create our own server. A steady server which is still there, even when you are unable to play for a week or even longer. A server where you know the other players because they don't change every day. After we founded the server, we thought it would be fun to include other like-minded people. And so we did. We have been growing steadily since we started in August 2020. Right now, we have a player-base of about 50 active players from all over the world: about 35% European based, 50% USA, and 15% from Asia, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. There is always someone playing because of this diverse population. The majority of our players is between 25 and 50 years old. A rough estimate would suggest 30% of us are 30+ and 50% is between 20 and 30 years old. Usually, you will find around 5 others online, with peaks going between 10 and 15 on the weekends, and the daily activity is at around 20-30 unique players. Rather than have everybody fend for themselves, we tend to help each other. We build big communal farms for everybody to share, like iron, slime, wool, enderman for exp, etc. We have a couple of communal projects going on, like a community trading hall and some farms. Everybody who wants and has time can help by either supplying resources needed or building. It's a real group effort. Besides all the group projects, many of us have built our own bases, but even here we can see the community coming back. Some of us are good at building farms, some can do redstone, some can decorate really well. We all tend to help each other everywhere we can because, in the end, Minecraft is most fun when being shared with others. Having farms of our own also allows us to trade with each other. There is a huge shopping district, with shops selling pretty much anything. Our server is on a dedicated host, which provides us with excellent performance and stability. Season 2 has started recently, we have been playing on the current map for about a month. Some of us have grouped up and started our own community village west of spawn, for those who don't want mega bases and would rather live closer to others. There is plenty of space available, so you're welcome to find a place for yourself as well. The area around spawn is the shopping district, directly linked to our nether hub. We develop all these projects as a group, and everyone can pitch in as much as they'd like. Our fourth season has so far been a big hit among our community and after the huge rush of people at the start of it we now feel we're in a place to once again accept in more new people :D So who are we and what can we offer? Each season we try to have some kind of quirk to keep it a bit different from the last one, and this season we have The Four Tribes. The world has been divided into four territories where you're only allowed to make your base and farms within your tribe's land. These tribes are each represented by a minecraft mob; Bee, Fox, Goat and Axolotl! Throughout the season we'll be having a special game going called The Tribe Games where you can earn your tribe points! You earn them mainly by participating and hosting events for the community but more ways may be added as time goes on. The tribe with the most points by the end of the season gets a minor perk in the following season :D Other than this quirk we're a fairly normal vanilla focused SMP. The plug-ins we use are minimal and never takes away from the "vanilla feel". We don't make use of teleports so to travel over the map we have a nice nether hub system set up with ice roads. At the center of the map we also have our Spawn island. This is neutral land where no bases or farms are allowed. Instead here you'll find our Shopping district and Mini-game district. Everyone are free to open up their own shop or game! We mainly use a diamond based economy that is trust based although staff does have ways to keep an eye on things to make sure no one goes ahead and steals or griefs (if found guilty of these offenses you risk getting permanently banned). If you've been thinking about giving anarchy a try but weren't sure how to get into it then Sweet Anarchy is a great place to start. We have more than one working dupe and you can use the client of your choice with VERY LITTLE anti-cheat on the server. You've heard stories about fly and speed hacks, baritone and kill aura: come to a server where you can play around and experience those hacks. (Here's TAF's video on how to get started on Anarchy if you need tips!) We have a small but active community that peaks ~40 players and usually quiets down during U.S. evenings / EU night time... or now when everyone is vacationing away from home. If you login and no one is online that means you can escape spawn and build a starter base without worrying about getting killed. SaberMC is a BASED server where a small, tightly-knit community of fellow players can get together and work on builds, kill each other, play a few games, and sometimes even beat each other senseless with overpowered knock back sticks (one of my favorite items to reward after events). Not only that, but our world is filled with a couple hundred explorable dungeons, all sorts of different types, which are custom generated from special popular mod styles! Make money by powering up your fishing skills with the Pyrofishing Pro toolset and getting some Jobs, or even open up a few protected shops or farms of your own and place warps! We like to have weekly building events, and spontaneous PvP/Spleef tourneys, and more event types are on the way. We own our own dedicated hardware (Ryzen 5800X, 64GB RAM, NVMe) and we don't ask for (or even accept) donations. DekoCraft SMP - season 2 (1.17.1 w/ increased world-height)DekoCraft SMP is a Fabric 1.17.1 server that you can connect to with vanilla Java or Bedrock clients. Yes, you read that right. Java and Bedrock friends can play together on DekoCraft SMP! Our SMP server features some fantastic builders and a decently developed shopping district with a lot of room for expansion. Check out the website for a gallery of some builds this season. DekoCraft Creative (1.17.1)Our creative server has WorldEdit and we use it to test, coordinate, and plan out builds. We keep this server in parity with our SMP server. You don't need a modded client to connect to the Creative server either. DekoCraft AfterDark (Fabric 1.16.5)AfterDark is our modded server. It is the second iteration of a modded server and recently re-launched with a fresh world. We learned a lot from our first version and it shows in how well the gameplay is balanced this time around. We recently launched a wiki and you are welcome to check out our AfterDark section. It's a good overview and lists all of the mods, but the gist is this: We focused on mods that add new content. Blocks, items, weapons, armor, food, biomes, enchantments. We don't do a lot that fundamentally changes gameplay though. Our mantra is that it should still feel like Minecraft and we think we've succeeded. Unlike our SMP server we are focusing less on individual economy and more on collaborative building in themed areas. For instance, world spawn is a modern city-scape zone while a few members are making a tiki-village to the SouthWest. DekoCraft Create (Forge 1.16.5)DekoCraft Create revolves around the amazing Create mod for those people who just love automation. Create is our newest server and has a small but dedicated community. About UsWe're just a bunch of people spread across the world that share a love of Minecraft. We range from 17 to 41 and everyone is super nice and very respectful of one-another.
