Semi-Vanilla is basically vanilla with some optimization mods to reduce lag and on runs on Fabric to keep vanilla gameplay. However, the semi-vanilla also respawns shulkers in End Cities to keep people from having to go out 30k blocks and them all being hoarded by one person. We also have BlueMap! Modded is modded in a way to be my idea of Vanilla+. We use the mod Oh The Biome's You'll go to introduce 80+ unique biomes and 40+ trees. Along with some other mods that I will list below. This allows for a more adventurous experience and more block types for people who like to be creative. The creative server is modded with the same mods as the modded server since it contains both vanilla and modded blocks. It's a flat world and that's pretty much it. You can use this server to test out whatever builds you want! Modded is Fabric 1.16.5 Creative is Fabric 1.16.5 Semi-Vanilla is Fabric 1.17.1 The servers are backed up every 4 hours to Minesave, restart once a day, and have block logging. We currently use https://dedicatedmc.io/ as our host and rent a dedicated server in Germany. I am not affiliated with them at all and do not represent them in any way. We currently experience zero server lag. Some players experience ping or internet lag due to their own connection or routing. So as long as a player has a good connection to the server then they should be fine. The server has actually been up for a very long time but only to friends and now we're trying to find new people that are age 21+, laid back, silly, and love Minecraft. Since everyone is an adult I do expect people to be able to handle most of their own problems but I will step in if needed. We also have a Discord server for everyone to chat and hang out. It connects to the modded and vanilla server so people can chat with players online from the Discord. About the Server Owner: I am a 30 year old male from the United States with a rare kidney disease and Minecraft makes me happy. However, recently I decided I want more friends to play with. So I'm trying to find new players! I also pay for the server myself and there are no "donation" incentives or cosmetics. The game is just the game. I also find poop funny and it reminds me not to be so serious all the time. We run a ~80 mods modpack that's vanilla themed and are a growing group of people working together to build a minecraft community like that of the early 2010's. | Sharks & Turtles [SMP] {1.17.1} {Economy}{Whitelist} Posted: 15 Sep 2021 03:25 PM PDT Sharks & TurtlesSharks & Turtles is full of players just looking to have some fun in a chill environment. Many of us so far take our inspiration from the Hermitcraft server and hope to build a community like theirs. We also just began Season 2 of our server today which means it's a brand new world. If you want the opportunity to start fresh with us then be sure to apply soon as some of our players work very quickly. We have players who are very new to the game as well as others who have built as many Redstone contraptions as you can imagine. Although the title says Semi-vanilla, in truth, it is mostly vanilla. The following are the only data packs that are included in the server so far. INCLUDED DATAPACKS All recipes are unlocked from the beginning of the game. Players who are AFK will have their names greyed out in the player list. Only 1 player must sleep to pass the night, as the server grows we may change this to require half the server or a set number to sleep. Coordinates HUD, this pulls up a small HUD that displays your coordinates so you don't have to have so much text covering your screen to see where you are. Anti Enderman Griefing, enderman cannot pick up blocks. This is primarily so they don't break large redstone contraptions. All shulkers will drop 2 shulker shells. The Ender Dragon will drop an egg and elytra each time it is killed. Silent mobs, adds the ability to silence mobs with name tags. Name a name tag "Silence me", "silence me", or "silence_me" and attach it to a mob to silence that mob. Player head drops, when one player kills another it will drop that player's head and the item will display who killed them. Elytra can be combined with a chest plate. Leaves decay quickly. We recently added mini blocks, elytra on chestplates, armor stand statues through popular vote. The server also has a dynmap. We do also accept suggestions for new small tweaks to improve the game for all and will hold polls to decide whether or not to change rules/data packs. We want the feel of the server to stay vanilla though so we will NOT be adding anything game-changing. We suffer the same experiences as other servers out there with people coming and going but are trying to establish a very active player base. We currently have about 20 active players (Active as in they play every week not every day), not everyone is on all the time but we want to start holding more community events. We have players from the US, Finland, Korea, Germany, and more. The goal of the server is just to have a place where you can make new friends and have fun playing some Minecraft together. You can go off and do mostly your own thing, or you can help build a large shopping district or mini-games for others to enjoy. If you're tired of server hopping and just want to be a part of something that's still growing then Sharks & Turtles is the server for you. Limit the use of hoppers or use hoppers efficiently to reduce server lag. Respect the rules of the shopping and gaming districts. Specific rules will be posted in their respective text channels and pinned to the top. For many Minecraft is a game of adventure. For this reason, the world seed shall not be distributed. However, if any player spends a considerable amount of time searching for something very specific (like a slime chunk or mesa biome) without any success, we may give them coordinates to those to help them out. We just don't want people abusing the seed and raiding all the villages etc. Use the relevant text channels provided in the discord server. Some people don't want to hear about pets or food and will mute those channels. By posting in the correct channels, you help reduce spam messages to the members of our community.
