| Townscraft [SMP] {Towns} {Whitelist} {Community-focused} {Active small Community} Posted: 18 Sep 2021 08:51 AM PDT Server History (reading optional): In April 2020 the server's founder, Historio, left the vanilla towny server he had been playing on due to corruption in its staff team. However, he still liked the idea of a town-based SMP without mechanics like towny plugins, warps, and TPA. So he decided to make one himself, and so on April 17th Townscraft was launched to the public. The server would prosper as a young and growing SMP for 3 months, until July came around. This was the roughest period in the server's history and many left the server, never to return. In the fallout of it however a new generation of players joined during August. These players would rebuild Townscraft's community from the ground up with what remained of the original playerbase. One of these few survivors, Kimberrrr, would become the new owner of the server following Historio's resignation. It has been almost a year since then and Townscraft has blossomed into a small and dedicated community that has built many impressive towns, megabuilds, maparts, and more. Server Description: Townscraft is a whitelisted vanilla SMP server with a towny twist that launched in April 2020. As the name implies, the server has an emphasis on towns. Each town contains houses, shops and farms. You can join an already existing town, create new towns with three or more members, or choose to be a nomad, but it's strongly advised to live towny to get the best experience. All types of players are welcome, as long as you don't plan on breaking the rules. We don't care if you are a builder, redstoner, veteran or noob, there will always be a town that accepts you. There are no major gameplay altering plugins like /warp or /tpa. The three exceptions are one person sleep, the ender dragon being unable to destroy blocks, and fire spread off. We are still running the same world that was generated on April 17th, 2020 and will continue to until this winter when we will reset the world and update to 1.18. This may seem discouraging to join the server, but don't worry, there's plenty of events to be had, projects to plan, and friends to be made until then! We have a kindhearted and welcoming community, and many are willing to help new players out. Staff can be identified by having a star at the end of their name. Jr. Mods and Mods have light blue and blue stars, admins have purple stars, and the owner has a red star. The server has core protect, so if something is stolen or griefed, the culprit can be identified and the action can be rolled back in just a few minutes. It is dynamic yet hasn't lost its peaceful atmosphere. It is a great place to start your adventure on the server! Redwood continues to grow, it is very welcoming, easy to build in, and has a very inviting mayor, who is happy to have you over! Leader: ASaltedProfessor The Twin Kingdoms of Rivia and Mahakam, inspired by games like The Witcher and Dark Souls, are the economic powerhouse of the Northern Towns. Despite having complex, dark-fantasy building styles (urban medieval for Rivia and Dwarven for Mahakam), the Twin Kingdoms have thrived and have acquired an extensive history over the course of their year-old existence. Rivia Leaders: RinKiwa, ASikke. Mahakam Leaders: Aleckay, Xareck Fortuna is the Dark Souls of digging chunks. People also know Fortuna as Bigger Diggus and Big Dig or Local Stone Supplier. Fall damage accounts for 92% of the deaths in Fortuna, the other 8% is by slime. Fortuna is home to some of the most ambitious projects. Currently, a tower based on Dark Souls and Bloodborne architecture is in the works in the center of the hole. Leader: ASikke Arcadia is an underground fortress set in a crystal cave underneath the jungle. The only entrance will be behind a waterfall only accessible by a treacherous cliff side walk or elytra. Leader: Sentenetal Pandora is a town of which the architectural style resembles a mix of industrial and rustic buildings. The town itself is inhabited by a close group of friends from Estonia, so sadly we are not taking in actual members. Even so, it is possible for you to buy property, to show dominance and fortune over the other players. Some people in the server disagree with our ways, as somehow we have managed to make a few enemies, but we do not care for the opinions of the lower class. Our primary goal is for people to take in the beauty of our town and spend a lot of money during their stay. For the latter, we have different shops for all kinds of needs and most importantly the newest addition to our town - The Casino. The casino has a fully functional roulette - and a poker table. Additionally, you can try your luck in the lottery. Leaders: All of Estonia Elysium is an enchanted forest populated with wizard towers and mushroom houses. It was created when TheAsianMate ventured off to create a fairly large tree called the Tree of Paradise. The tree was finished in 9 days and the town quickly opened after its completion. The town is made up of little districts with specific themes, such as a crystal forest. Leaders: TheAsianMate, RinKiwa Honey Valley is a quaint canal city nestled in the valley of two mountains in a birch forest biome. Its build theme is best characterized as "quirky Norway," with colorful, densely packed rowhouses lining a central canal. Landmarks include a windmill, tulip fields, an art gallery, large spruce trees, and the iconic canals along which many residents live. Though appearing wholesome, HV has many less wholesome secrets. The server currently has a few plugins that does not affect the gameplay at all, just for security purposes. However I want to create a community for people that enjoy playing Minecraft and meeting new people. We have recently wiped our map as of 30 July 2021, this opens up a lot of opportunities to help out with new spawn / server projects that have been planned. Following all this opens up a very unique world gen with some amp terrain, large biomes and normal gen. This is Season 2 for Digital Terrain. We originally started with a 1.15 world in March 2020. Our current world has been live since June 25, 2021. We're looking to grow our community with some great people and to have a stronger, more connected, community by the time 1.18 comes out. We aim to have a Hermitcraft experience where everyone can work together, have fun, pull pranks, make diamonds, and make amazing builds with each other. We have an active community in-game and an active Discord out of the game. With Discord hooks and Dynmap, you can interact with the server while not actually playing. If you join you'll notice that players have set up a few provisions for new players to make it to the location of their choosing to set up base and get started. You'll have basic iron tools, food, a bed, and a few other things to get started. Or if you're feeling hardcore go at it empty-handed! We do plan to update to 1.18 when it comes out and is stable. We recently added a new feature which is the proximity chat (the same type that Hermitcraft uses). About Admins/Mods We have two Admins, Panda_Brah and faeppuccino. Panda_Brah has been running the server since its inception. As a software engineer and avid system administrator, the server runs smoothly with few hiccups, 24/7 uptime, and quick maintenance. faeppuccino started on the server within the first month of its inception and has been in charge of a number of community projects throughout the seasons. Panda & fae are also players on the server, participating in server events, and helping people out when they can. Our mods, dadsamuggle, FalconRx, and McEmbla have been with us for over a year and each and some since near the beginning. All are extremely active and very helpful to new players. At least compared to the typical Minecraft crowd, with the majority of us being in our 20's and 30's, but some even older (a few between 18 and 21 though). The youngest of us have old souls. The oldest of us are young at heart. And we run a Minecraft server that is very community based. We have a very well developed "home base" with people also developing their own remote HQ's. Plugins are largely vanilla, but additions do include single player sleep and MCMMO. We'd love it if you'd come join us. Right now, we have about 100 users, but about 20 that are very active. As I type this message at nearly 8 PM EST, we have 10 users currently online and I would say we are at about 10-12 on a typical Friday night. We try to be a tight-knit crowd, playing a lot of other games together as well (one of the more active ones is Sea of Thieves)...and weekly game nights on Tuesday nights for games like Cards Against Humanity and other similar "party" games (online). The server has some people (but not an overwhelming amount) on at all hours of the day, with users in Europe, Asia, and North America.
