| Posted: 02 Nov 2021 09:04 AM PDT Welcome, Neighbors! WHY HOMESTEADCRAFT? HomesteadCraft is an RPG-inspired adult MC server with a vanilla-feel; think vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. In order to create a server with that old-school RPG feel, we use a few plugins, including: McMMO- A skill-leveling, perk-unlocking masterpiece! Such skills include Acrobatics, Archery, Unarmed, Excavation, Herbalism, Alchemy and many more. Acuteloot- Adds literally BILLIONS of unique named items. With billions of names, over 15 different special effects (check out the arrow-riding enderbow or the timewalker boots!), different particle effects and a rarity system, the combinations are practically limitless. Find AcuteLoot items in naturally-spawned chests or get lucky when enchanting to roll the dice! You'll probably notice the health bars floating above mobs now, too. There's also damage counters when you hit them. Outside of the RPG-inspired plugins, we also use a claims plugin. Since this is a grief-free server (see rules below), you can imagine this one helps prevent a LOT of things. With an easy-to-use GUI, you can set permissions to control who may or may not build, open chests, place lava, break blocks or even set an enter/exit message to display to visitors inside each of your claimed areas. We currently have a world border of 7k in each direction from spawn, making sure you'll always have a place to build or explore, with future expansions planned for each major update. A THRIVING COMMUNITY With an admin team that strives to assure constant 20TPS, and a friendly and helpful mod team, we try to build a close-knit community of friends from all over the world who just want to hangout with other adults and play some Minecraft. We have an active Discord community (with integration between game chat and Discord that lets you see what's going on in either), where you can set up trades, talk to everyone else or share screenshots of your builds. There's even a dedicated meme channel! As with the server, our Discord server is for adults only. Both are 18+ because we're not interested in dealing with kid-related drama. About us: Sector17 is a community-based 18+ SMP server. Our community has dedicated hardware; an i7 10700k with 32gbs of DDR4 RAM and an M.2 SSD. We've been up since late June of 2020 and are currently in our third season. Overall we pride ourselves in our community. We try and focus a lot on building a trusted and fun community that requires little admin interference. It's a great place to come and grow with the amazing people we have building and helping each other. Playstyle and Features: To maintain an authentic, multi-player experience while still feeling like vanilla, we use only a few vanilla tweaks data packs such as mob heads and multi-player sleep. We also have a shopping and gaming district similar to Hermitcraft and frequently set up events and community projects for everyone to participate in, sometimes with unique prizes. Special Events: Our first charity event was a fantastic success, with over $200 raised for the Innocence Project. During season two, our community stepped up to the plate, raising over $1200 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Our most recent event was raising money for the server. Collectively we were able to raise just under $900 to upgrade our aging equipment fully. So, looking for trees you die, but certain ranks take longer to get the more you die, so maybe you decide not to die. Then literally 50 skeletons with amazing aim shoot at you and you die anyway. The server is a vanilla hermitcraft styled SMP that runs 24/7, on PC Java 1.17.1 We are a server that has been going for almost a year, and we are looking for new members to add to our server! The world has been running for 2 weeks, and this is a fresh world we are doing, while we wait for 1.18 to release. Once 1.18 is out we will start a 100% fresh SMP.
