Make the compost block drop dirt in addition to bonemeal Posted: 18 Jan 2019 05:18 AM PST It would be a nice way to make dirt renewable and it also makes sense because in real life, the compost can be used as dirt to grow new plants. It also seems kind of weird that out of a full compost block, all you get is a little piece of bonemeal. [link] [comments] |
Ruin Dwelling Villagers - "Collectors" Posted: 18 Jan 2019 10:51 AM PST Occasionally in structures like desert temples or jungle temples, there would be a "collector" who would live in the ruins. Collectors would look very similar to villagers or illagers. They would be neutral mobs, so you could trade with them for weird items (maybe saddles, chainmail, etc), but if you hit them they will attack with magic artifacts. If you are wondering why you would ever hit them, you could kill them and they would drop the rare items as well. The artifacts they use to fight would be borrowed from other things already in the game (as they are collectors). So they could teleport with enderpearls, use potions, use the totem of undying (would not drop), etc. They could possibly have pets, like a parrot if in the jungle temple. This is just an idea. Post any feedback in the comments. [link] [comments] |
Villagers should sleep in their beds or they will get insomnia & cause Phantoms to attack them Posted: 18 Jan 2019 12:32 PM PST I think it makes sense that they would also attack Villagers, if they have insomnia. This would make use of their new beds they have in their houses. Note: They would stay Neutral to the player Also vote on this feedback.minecraft post (my idea is in the comments) [link] [comments] |
The water used to unlit a campfire should evaporate instantly Posted: 18 Jan 2019 11:32 AM PST Water should evaporate instantly when used to unlit a campfire. At the moment, by extinguishing a campfire you risk to destroy other blocks (grass, torches, crops, etc.). Obviously it will still be possible to waterlog an unlit campfire. If you like this idea please vote it on the Feedback Site https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360039105831--19W02B-Campfire-Water-Evaporation[link] [comments] |
What about a Crate that shows what's inside? Exactly like the Composter? (images inside) Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:10 AM PST I like the new Composter very much. More than its utility, I like the fact that shows its level graphically. Imagine now a Crate with the same identical shape as the composter, but a slightly different texture, in order to be able to distinguish the two. Now, imagine that, if I place a red apple inside a Crate, this will show the texture of red apples, at level 1. More apples I put inside the Crate, more levels are shown, exactly like for the Composter. The difference is that I can also take a red apple by right-clicking on it with the empty hand (or I can load/unload objects through an UI that let me transfer whatever I need from my 1-9 toolbar). It can be used to store any material: Fruits (melon, watermelon, apples, cocoa), Flowers (all kind of flowers), Ores (coal, iron, gold, diamonds, emeralds, lapislazuli, red sand), Mushrooms, Vegetables (carrots, potatoes, beetroots, wheat, sugar cane, bamboo), some Stones (cobblestone, gravel, andesite, diorite, granite, rpismarine), Sand (sand, red sand, soul sand), Fishes, Dirt and Slime. If I have a non-empty Crate (whatever level, from 1 to 7), with red apples, for example, I will not be able to put any other object inside, like berries or melons. I need to empty the Crate, before. The Crate can be crafted using any wooden plank, 7 of them, placed in "U" shape. The final Crate could be of the same color of the wood used or have a single special texture. This new object will exponentially increase the look of a market stall, the interior of a shop/lab and the general look of any town, I think! The Crate is not orientable, always face up. Can be piled up with other Crates and it is gravity-dependant, like sand. If broken it returns its content together with the empty crate. Here an image with some examples, where I used the standard textures to compose the Crate and its content: https://imgur.com/a/9xKFLWy I think that the content texture should be created new. add the ability to put the campfire out with a water splash bottle Posted: 18 Jan 2019 01:56 PM PST People want an easier way to put out the campfire without a source block, the splash water bottle is already in the game with the use of putting out fire so why not let it be used to put out campfires? Reconsider the Crafting Table actually being a Table for 1.14 because of Campfires (Explanation) Posted: 18 Jan 2019 11:35 AM PST The Crafting Table should act like a Table. Items should be displayed on it when you exit the GUI, and items don't drop out of it. I know this is suggested before, but let us consider the Campfire. When the Campfire is cooking something , the items are displayed on the Campfire. Why can't Mojang do the same to Crafting Tables? [link] [comments] |
Strays shouldn't burn during Snowfall Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:44 PM PST |
Embers should be there own particles. Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:31 PM PST As it is, magma particles are clunky and do not float up, and are ways to big, a simple yet pleasing new particle should be embers, Those tiny particles would float up and fade redder and darker the higher they go to then turn into ash particles, they would be very small, 2 to 1 pixels. They should also appear on fire but a lot more on campfires to keep the shine on this amazing pleasing new block, although it's texture already makes it amazing, maybe netherrack could make the embers redder and add more of them, and soul sand would turn them immediatly into falling ash particles, it would be an excellent new feature for ambience, glowstone could maybe also turn them yellower and lighter, just small suggestions, campfires would feel a lot nicer with proper ember particles. Tempest--An End Mob that Tries to Knock Players Into the Void Posted: 18 Jan 2019 11:42 AM PST TempestThe Tempest is an End Mob that tries to knock players into the Void. It spawns on End's Outer Islands. It will not spawn at low altitudes. The higher you are, the more will likely it will spawn. It can commonly be found near End Ships. Attack Moves Charge: The Tempest will charge at players dealing knockback on them. The Tempest usually does this when players are near the void. Spin: The Tempest will become vertical and spin. The spinning will create a powerful funnel of wind. The wind call pull entities and fling them around. The wind cannot pick up or destroy blocks. The wind also obstructs vision making it hard to see. The more armor you have, the less distance you'll flung out. The same applies to heavier armor. You will have to attack the Tempest to make it stop spinning. Summon: The Tempest will summon purple lightning for a short amount of time. Purple Lightning sets entities on fire and spawns endermites at that spot. Drag: The Tempest will use their long tentacles to grab you, and carry you into the void. The Tempest will die as well, so the Tempest will use this move as a "last resort" or at low health. You can avoid this by hitting its tentacles before grabbing you or right clicking shift to get off. Uses The Tempest only drops experience upon death, but the wind it creates can be used to your advantage. You can use a bottle to collect the wind, and get Wind in a Bottle. Wind in a BottleIt can be used to create a Splash Wind. (Splash Potion that contains Wind). Throwing it will create a wind funnel that does the same thing as the Tempest's wind funnel. You can brew it with feathers to increase the time. ------------- What do you think? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jan 2019 08:47 AM PST The same way you right click to put a chicken on to cook, right click with a sponge. Pops out when dry. [link] [comments] |
New Structure: The Illager Lighthouse Posted: 18 Jan 2019 09:52 AM PST This structure would spawn near oceans and on islands. It would be a tall structure made of stained clay, wood, and red concrete with lanterns decorating the place. Inside would be about 3 to 4 floors, each with chests and illagers spawning nearby. There would also be a secret basement hidden under the ground, much like the Igloo. Under the lighthouse, there would be a small dock with a ship or two (think an undamaged shipwreck) inside. Inside the ships, there would be little cells holding a villager or two. There would be quite a few illagers in there as well. In one of the ships, there is a chance you can find a treasure map, as well as a map that locates the nearest village or woodland mansion. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jan 2019 03:48 PM PST This is an old suggestion of mine from the MC Forums. Seeing as I'll never be using that place ever again, I thought I'd repost here. I have seen a number of suggestions that involve trying to make redstone delays more compact, so as not to need a large amount of space for a long delay. Here's my take on a device that's simple and would aid with compact long delays. The extended repeater appears similar to the regular repeater, only it is quartz-colored with stone-gray borders. It has four states, but instead of 1-4, it instead goes from 5-20 in 5-tick increments. This is because a normal repeater goes from 1-4. Combining any regular repeater with an extended repeater would allow you to get the precise number of ticks you want from 1 to 24 in only two blocks of space. For example, say you want a delay of 17 redstone ticks. You place a normal repeater with an increment of two, and an extended repeater with an increment of fifteen. This delays the signal for seventeen total redstone ticks. Normally, this could only be accomplished with five redstone repeaters. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jan 2019 03:38 PM PST Everyone agrees that the current "get 1 bonemeal" isn't so great, but most just think to rebalance the composter by having it give more bonemeal/dirt blocks, or by changing how it is filled, or both. What if instead of any of this, the player could plant a crop in a filled box, and the crop would grow at a quicker rate than in wet farmland? In this case, we obtain a farming block that has to be invested in because of the (outrageous) costs of filling it with various wastes, but will become a permanent fixture for farming as long as it isn't moved (which would empty it out). I don't know how this would work with water--whether it could become damp to make crops grow quicker or not--but it was a thought. This could also work for other plants, like the new berry bushes and bamboo, sugarcane, and whatever else. Alternatively, the crops could grow at the same rate, but give a higher yield, such as 2 wheat instead of just 1. As far as obtaining renewable bonemeal from something other than skeletons (and dumb fish mobs), there are better ways than through this composting mechanic, in my opinion. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:26 PM PST The void has an ominous and mysterious feeling, but the bedrock ceiling is a kind of plain and has a lazy, unfinished feel to it. So here are some possible changes (but the build limit needs to go lower first): BedrockBedrock should have less contrast (less spotty) so it is more realistic and looks a bit better. CeilingThe ceiling should be more rough with upside-down hills and spikes. Void MonsterThere's always been talk about a creature living in the bottom of the void; after all even players in creative get killed by something. Now, I am not saying there should be a new boss, but there should be occasional deep groans when you are at a very low heights and occasional shadows moving around when you look down. New Mob?Possibly there could be goblins hanging from the ceiling above the void. They could even jump down from the ceiling to attack players at the cost of their death. Please post any further suggestions or comments. [link] [comments] |
Give farmland a "fertilization" property similar to the wetness property Posted: 18 Jan 2019 02:15 PM PST A nearby composter can increase that fertilization value which in turn makes crops go faster in a certain area, while being slowly used up in return. The expense/reward ratio right now is absolutely dreadful. An approach like this would make it actually worth it to put stuff in it. [link] [comments] |
You bounce a little bit if you happen to fall on a slime Posted: 17 Jan 2019 05:36 PM PST Biggest slime would be 7~8 blocks, second biggest 5~6 block third biggest 2~4 blocks and smallest slime 0~1 blocks [link] [comments] |
Compost should drop something else. Posted: 18 Jan 2019 01:01 PM PST Hello, I have seen people suggest that the compost should make, well, compost. Because it dropping bone meal is kinda weird. But I think it should be more than just compost, I think the compost should be better in some way than bone meal... Maybe grows something faster, or makes the plant drop more, or something. Because I for one don't use bone meal a lot, I just let my plants grow on their own. Like right now I have been on the world for a while, and I just made a 21x21 farm for each crop, and after a while I get like 6 or more stacks of the crop (except wheat because it only drops one per plant) So I don't know what they could add, but I just don't see many people using bone meal a lot in vanilla minecraft. Stronghold should use Jigsaw block Posted: 17 Jan 2019 10:20 PM PST |
Posted: 17 Jan 2019 06:29 PM PST It makes sense, but also, the Native Americans used fish as compost so it could be a cool idea for Minecraft to have it as well [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2019 10:52 PM PST Cactus •Cactus is hard IRL so it should be slightly fragile than a wood but still hard. •It should have its own sound: breaking, placing and a player hurt by cactus. Bell •A new placing and breaking sound. Campfire •Extinguishable using all types of water bottles. •Can set entities on fire. Crafting table •If you craft something, it should play a sound like other utility blocks. Furnace/Smoker/Blast Furnace •The fire texture should be animated. •Smoker creates a smoke (Campfire smoke) that can go up to 6 blocks. •Standing on top of a blast furnace while its smelting will hurt you, similar to how magma block works. Dispenser •Can launch fireworks depending on the direction it faces Composer •Can turn rotten flesh, raw/cooked food (including fish) and poisonous potato into a fertilizer. •Gives you fertilizer instead of bonemeal. Noteblock •UI for the note tones. Textures •Armor texture is as unique as horse armor texture. •Terracotta could use more contrast cuz its too smooth right now. •Greener emerald like how emerald block looks. •Bedrock could use less contrast. •Tall grass matches the color palette of small grass. •Tool's textures look similar to sword's color palette. Posted: 18 Jan 2019 12:57 PM PST When one of the water logable things that can give off a red stone signal activates under water there should be a large burst of redstone particals and would deal three hearts of damage to anyome within 10 blocks. Thus will not happen again until it is turned off and back on again or if it removed from the water and then moved back in. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 17 Jan 2019 07:15 PM PST Currently you can take books out of a lectern in survival mode, but not in adventure mode. A tag for map makers to allow players to take it out in adventure mode would be nice. [link] [comments] |
