A Scoop of Vanilla is a friendly Minecraft orientated gaming community and has been in operation for over 5 years. We just started our 8th map on August 29th 2018. This is a long-term map with no reset planned for at least a year. Here is a community made photo album of their first week on this map! While Minecraft is our main love, many in the community also play many other games together such as Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, League of Legends and PUBG. I play it in my downtime to relax but I've gotten really bored of playing on single player. I used to love watching people play on the Mindcrack server and have just recently started watching Hermitcraft so I guess I'm looking for something with that vibe! I'm looking for an active server, vanilla is preferred but it can have some command block things like hermitcraft and even /home and /spawn are okay! Being friendly and inclusive is super important to me being part of the LGBTQ+ community! Also being a student and working part time I have a lot of commitments already and this is meant to be a fun hobby to enjoy during my downtime so I need to be able to just log in and play when it suits me so if your server has a rule where I need to log in once a week or anything like that I'm afraid it won't work out! What this means to us is you have the freedom to play and build wherever and as large as you want. We try to be as open as possible with how we run the server and configure the server to have the best performance while keeping everything players build working. We never reset the world, and we make constant backups of the server files just in case. The way we keep it fresh is by changing the world spawn point every year so new players can find new areas easier and old players can keep on building. We have recently switched over to using bungeecord so now all of our servers are connected by a central hub and we can chat across all worlds. Servers ExNihilo: This server consist of three worlds. Planum (superflat); Once you have mastered survival and feel like you need a bit of a challenge then come here to die repeatedly. Health regeneration is turned off, coordinates are hidden, and you spawn randomly. The goal is to survive and make a sustainable home with access to the nether.
Valhalla: Creative, new world and we are still building the spawn area so come and help us create and decide how we should run this world. It can be confusing on first join, but once you pick a world that you like and a spot you want to build then its really easy to continue. Players decide how things should be changed, spawn towns are created by players. We keep things simple, no crazy plugins, no overwhelming rules, no pay to win. We do have a patreon but we do not give any in game bonuses for supporting the server. Players who play on the server and are able to can help keep the server running for as little as 1 dollar a month, completely optional. Plugins Each server has some plugins to help deal with griefers, we can roll back any damage made by specific players without bringing down the server, our survival server uses essentials so we can set up protected player run shops, and we use DiscordSRV to be able to link our in game chat with our discord. The server was started a few months ago as a modded server but ultimately returned to vanilla to create a much stronger community. The idea behind AXIS is to form a group of friends for not just minecraft but for other things too. Our brand new world was started about a month and a half ago and it is a place, host weekly server events, on top of the regular survival everience. We host weekly events such as building contests, uhcs, and more. We have also launched a creative test server to host events and to make test builds. It is a small server with about 7-8 players and is about two month old. We are not stressed about server events and went to the end just last week. The reason we made a server, after joining many in the past, is because we seem to always end up with irresponsible server owners that either become paranoid, or dissapear with the server one day. We hope to break that curse and make a nice environnement for minecrafters. --The Rules-- Players must be mature. PvP allowed, if both parties agree. Pranks allowed, but grief and outright stealing is not. Buildings must be aesthetically pleasing. (exeptions for things like grinders). This is judged in usually one day from our discord. We post the picture you send publicly and people vote on it. Enough votes and you're in. Build at least 500 blocks away from spawn. No cheating, of course. --Plans for the future-- We aim to get a small community of people to play minecraft in a mature environment while making nice builds everyone can be proud of. Me and my brother are personally city builders. We encourage people to build a summer house in our towns. We're looking for players to test the server and build a community. I'm also looking for feedback to make the server better. We only just released it to the public. So come and join : ) Seriously it's epic and you won't regret it. We created the server as a memorial to my cat, Kruga, who sadly died via-car-accident in late 2015. You spawn at the top of the tower in a glass orb, and then make your way down the tower. The spawn is packed with over 100 command blocks that are interactable. It contains features such as 5 distinct teams you can join, and 11 custom NPC villager traders. This dynamic economy was designed to be an RPG economy from the ground up, in a way that is not too dissimilar to EVE online. Towny has also been installed and uses the same currency (emeralds) as the npc villagers. It's hard to describe all the details really, but it's an epic build. The world this tower exists in is a 6k x 6k custom world called 'mevia18'. Which is a fully custom worldmap. We also created and are continuing to add custom dungeons which respawn on their own every night. They contain rewards, but also custom NPC's that guard them. The feedback for this RPG server so far has been very positive and with adverts like this the server continues to grow! RULES: The rules are no hacks, and not going too far with freedom of speech. Moderators decide what is too far. Break the rules and you'll be sent to the in-game jail as a warning, and then banned. Other than that PVP is fully legal outside the towers walls, but is disabled at the spawn (i.e. the massive tower). Good luck on your journey, and the choice on how to play is yours.
