I have just recently come upon 10$ a month to host a small 20 player server. Mods I'm using: Grief protection, Essentials, and Antihack. I don't like overwhelming my players with mods they might never use. Some are definitely helpful, but I want to provide a decent experience minus the griefing. Rules
Server IP: 173.236.90.183 Description I've hosted Minecraft servers since the days when multiplayer was first released. I remember installing the first versions of bukkit when it was released. I have a lot of experience. I'm looking for players who want to be in a small, close-knit community with each other. Of course, if you prefer building and playing by yourself then do it. I don't mind swearing, I don't mind more mature conversations in the chat, just don't overdo it to the point where I have an admin step in. Speaking of Admins, I don't have any. However, don't think that you will come onto my server and get easy access to Admin. At my current job, I am a supervisor that maintains and creates great leaders. If you want to become part of my staff, prove that you can be a leader. I don't want to hear how many other servers you have been an admin on, I'll see it if you are. Donations - Donator Class I hate the concept of Donator classes. Who wants to go into a server, and know someone donated money to be better than anyone in the server? I can't stand it. In the future, I might add a Donation button to keep the server running, but it won't convey any added features aside from maybe a chat icon(still against this idea because it creates bias later on). Donators will NEVER have a better chance at being an admin either. You can not buy your way to success in my server, I feel that your real world status shouldn't effect your game status. You will be expected to work together, form communities and interact with others, not just wander off into the wilderness . Welcome to the Broken Worlds; a dedicated fantasy-inspired role-playing server whose community has stuck together for over 6 years! Over this time, we have changed maps as the main storylines come to a close, but are now focusing on a much more longer-term map! In the beginning, we were heavily inspired by Dwarf Fortress. As years have gone by, we have slowly drifted away from that, but our current world is much more DF-inspired than previous maps. We are a vanilla server, with a few plugins. Search for 'BWRP' on Technic and select the vanilla option. We have the SkillAPI plugin! Classes and professions are available, with a number of different skills. The system is still in progress, so some updates may happen. The WorldWe have custom-written lore, put together by our team of Storytellers (our moderators) and Community Managers, custom-made maps and a rich backstory of both regions and individuals in this world. All of this lore is often put forward by the players, working it into their backstories of their characters. DwarvesWith a world crumbling to an end at his feet, Beor Fellhammer, First and Last Dwarven God of the Second Pantheon, cradles in his palm his cherished homeland. Reaching into the void, he brings Dwarves from the time of their deaths to him, in order to build a better future. Dwarves from all realms and times have found themselves waking up in a small, rudimentary chapel, dedicated to Beor. This chapel is, in turn, found within a larger Fortress; Rakust Dosîm. The world outside has been changed drastically. Surrounding the Fortress; a gigantic chasm pockmarked with caves, with a magma ocean stretching as far as the eye can see. Dwarves have settled into their new surroundings, building rooms, workshops and chambers to suit their needs. As the population grows and more questions arise, only time will tell what will be revealed. ElvesRecently, the Elven race has shown itself within this world as well! As they have, too, fled a failing world they have somehow ended up in ours. However, their realm is an idyllic one, still accessible from the caverns within the mighty underground map. For this world, specifically, you will be playing a Dwarf who has been displaced from their home (whether they remember that or not, is up to you). Think of a backstory, which can be as detailed as you want. Where does your Dwarf come from? What are their interests? How do they talk and act? Are they brave or cowardly? All these little nuances will add up to create a truly memorable character. You can be any profession you wish, from mechanically-based ones such as blacksmiths, farmers and alchemists, to more roleplay-based ones, such as scholars, explorers, cheesemakers, and many more.
